The market is exceptionally clean, well organized, and beautifully maintained. Everything was neatly displayed, making it easy to browse without feeling rushed. Working behind the counter was Ms. Jenna. She greeted us with a warm smile and a friendly, welcoming attitude that made us feel right at home. She kindly let us know that if we needed anything, all we had to do was ask. We took our time wandering through the store, looking at all the unique items they had to offer. I couldn't leave empty-handed, so I picked up two bags of their chipotle-flavored pecans as souvenirs for my brothers. Whether they'll share them with anyone else is another story entirely. The Homestead Market is a really neat place and well worth a visit. I have no doubt I'll be back the next time I'm in the area. Maybe I'll see you there!

So we headed out to Natural Grocers and they do have them. I've decided to look for Duck Fat and yes they have them. I use it to cook. It has K2 Vitamin properties and you know what they say, its better to eat your food than taking supplements. But if you got only supplements why not. I also bought MCT oil and my mom also bought Jarrows: Glutathione supplements. We really loved it here. I just ran out of Duck Fat, I am due again to return and get a new jar. I should stock them up.

I went for a bacon cheeseburger & some fries. $9.27 out the door before a tip. The cook was great & accomodared all of my requests. I told the cashier that I was going to wait outside with my dog & I'd be back inside in about 5 min for my food. About 3 min later, the cook came out the door & delivered my food to me! Great service, tasty burger & fries. I'll be back to try some other menu items soon! Don't let the outside discourage you from going in. It's a bit old looking. It's worth going in! Manager came look through my bag than apologized to me. I was there with my two YOUNG kids a few weeks ago, and she got very heated because I left two bags behind, and she had to remind me / went after me so I didn't leave them - which I was greatful for and said thank you both times. Mind you I could tell she was annoyed from the very start, I felt very negative cold energy from her from the moment I encountered her. She did not smile, did not ask how my day was, and she just seemed over all very annoyed. To be honest the only thing that I was able to think about is this girl is either racist, or is completely judging me because I was using WIC. Anyways - the second time I was almost out the door she says "IT'S NOT MY JOB TO REMIND YOU ABOUT YOUR BAGS". I then said thank you for your kindness, and almost left, but decided I should have never been treated like this, and wanted to make sure managment knew because I was sure I would not be the last person she would treat like this. By the time I got there I was in tears, because I have never been treated with such coldness when I am out shopping. I have been there a handful of times since because this Walmart is just the most convient to me, and I have been shocked to still see her working there...

The park they built across the street is beautiful and equipped with a skate park, basketball court, playground and swings. I see why so many of the locals hang out here. I have found great items from food to cosmetics to pet goodies. I was grateful to find they have many options even though they are on the smaller side. When it is cold I often come for the warm and ready gumbo and tortilla soup. Their low carb ready to go meals have made my life so much easier during the busy week. They even have sourdough fresh made in the bakery. I usually end up here over most other stores for my main groceries due to the always pleasant experience. It does tend to get pretty crowded and parking can be tricky. So I often come during early hours during the week.

We typically visit Natural Grocers as part of our weekly shopping. However, over the last several…read moremonths they have had refrigeration problems that have plagued all of their dairy, meats, frozen goods, and other cold sections. Unfortunately, they can not seem to get these issues resolved and the fixes are very temporary. Sometimes they have cold items in the back of the store that they say they can get for you, but lately I have been met with short responses and more reluctance than support. Since, they can not get these problems resolved, I do not recommend shopping there until the company replaces the refrigeration as product availability is very unreliable and it is frustrating to show up there thinking of purchasing weekly groceries only to have to get back in my car and go to another store.
