We typically visit Natural Grocers as part of our weekly shopping. However, over the last several months they have had refrigeration problems that have plagued all of their dairy, meats, frozen goods, and other cold sections. Unfortunately, they can not seem to get these issues resolved and the fixes are very temporary. Sometimes they have cold items in the back of the store that they say they can get for you, but lately I have been met with short responses and more reluctance than support. Since, they can not get these problems resolved, I do not recommend shopping there until the company replaces the refrigeration as product availability is very unreliable and it is frustrating to show up there thinking of purchasing weekly groceries only to have to get back in my car and go to another store. read more

Very cool, eclectic market that focuses on organic or specialty foods, as well as a large section devoted to supplements. By 'specialty', I mean foods that are specifically keto-friendly, gluten-free, lactose free, or allergen free. The selection of fresh goods and several staples are a bit limited, but that's due to the modest footprint of the store. I am so impressed that I am literally writing this review in my car. I came into Natural Grocers feeling super worried about a lot of things, and I was fortunate to meet Addison, a certified nutritionist. She instantly eased my stress and worries. Her sweet and endearing personality made me feel comfortable, and she really paid attention to what I was saying without making me feel silly for not knowing things. She recommended some great products, and when I looked up one of them, I found thousands of five-star reviews. It made me trust her recommendations even more because she really knows what she's talking about. At the register, I also met Jace, who was incredibly kind and had a great demeanor. He helped me sign up to save money, and I even got a coupon from Addison for speaking with her. The entire experience was fantastic! The energy in the store is so positive, everyone is nice, and the store is clean with fresh produce. They have high-quality items that aren't filled with chemicals and preservatives. Natural Grocers is a great chain of stores that I love to explore when I see them. This one is no exception. They have a large supply of all sorts of organic and unusual items you don't find in the larger big chain stores. The employees were helpful and the store was clean and easy to navigate. Sometimes the lettuce is a little wilted, but thats where my complaints end. All but one of the employees are incredibly friendly, helpful, and pleasant to interact with. Theres one dude that works here (younger, larger build, dark hair) that is pretty rude to the other employees, but none of them seem to like him either lol. They have sales on things that i would normally buy, so I dont ever feel the need to get something just because its on sale. They have a clearance section (its sometimes empty, ofc) with things like milk, yogurt, cream, etc, that is about to expire. I LOVE coming here a few times a week to get half price organic grassfed dairy. Cant find that anywhere else, ive looked. Their rewards program is a nice bonus, and i randomly get emailed $2-5 off coupons for my total purchase. I love that all the produce is organic, and most of the pantry stuff is, too. You wont find any artificial colors (among other ingredients the store has banned) the ingredients for any of the products here. I love that i can take my son and let him pick out a treat without seeing that it has aluminium based food dyes in it. I have super sensitive skin and am allergic to most skincare, body washes, and makeup. This place has a nice selection of fragrance free products for sensitive skin, as well as natural and organic options for makeup etc. id say i get about 85% of the food and household items i buy from this place. They don't have everything, nor do they have an endless varity of options. There is, however, plenty of options for those who try to buy things with minimal ingredients, organic produce, and safer alternatives to harsh household chemicals. All of this, without the upcharge that most companies apply to that kinda thing. They aren't selling this stuff because it's trendy, theyve been doing it from the start of the company, so it doesnt feel like im being taken advantage of for my preferences. Im so glad theres a natural grocers by my house. I always assumed it was one of those expensive upscale "boutique" grocers, so i never considered it as an option. This next part is mainly just me being disappointed in HEB, so its not important to read. I just gotta get it out of my system, lol. I started looking for alternatives to HEB because i could never find organic produce, vegetarian meat alternatives, or deals on things I actually needed. I have been shopping at HEB my entire life. Four or so years ago, i noticed that their produce quality started to go down, with half of it (at the cedar park location) being rotten. I noticed how there were NEVER any sales on staple items like milk, bread, flour, etc, and the sales that did exist were ridiculous. This is the quintessential market for healthy food choices. Small but good selection of organic produce. Far better than whole foods in relation to pricing and necessities. Also, If you're on the hunt for that hard to find item, don't become too discouraged as the friendly staff listens well, and will search out your requested items. So, as a VERY frequent customer of the Arbor Walk location, we were in the area yesterday and decided to come back here.. Its been a long while since I've been. The folks are truly sweet as can be here.. You have to love coming into a store and being welcomed, not because they are "told to" but because you can tell they truly enjoy being where they are and are people lovers. I appreciate that. The customer service, even via phone has NEVER failed me here. The store carries all the same goodies as the other locations, and is neatly set up/arranged. Its open, more so than Arbor Walk, and it makes for a nice visit. Nothing about Natural Grocers (any of them) make me feel rushed, or that I should hurry up and get out.. I dont even feel as though I NEED to hurry up and leave.. Never had an issue with other peoples children, they are always under control. The staff is friendly. The restrooms are clean (mostly). There is a book section by the restrooms which makes for a nice stopping point if you wish to and its tucked out of the way.. so you arent int he way of others. All organic produce, healthy alternatives for snacks and "kid" food...which I appreciate since school is starting tomorrow.. OH BOY! And I need stuff for my boy that will be friendly in his body, but that he wont be made fun of.. (Sad, isn't it?) I know.. I think so too. Cruel world we live in. So, all in all.. Went to Cedar park movie theater and saw this new grocery store. It's pretty small compared to HEB. But its vegetables are very very fresh. And almost 1/3 of store displayed all kinds of vitamins. If you like fresh and organic vegetables and fruits, it could be your choice. read more

This is my favorite grocery store. It's not only because it is located close to my home but also they carry variety of organic produces for very reasonable price. The store is always crisp clean, organized, compact but surprisingly tons of selection to choose from. My favorites are one of their free-range eggs and organic apples, which are the best deal in the area (based on my research). These two items, for example, are always cheaper here than the ones from Walmart. Not fancy or hip like Whole Foods, but very practical and more approachable for everyday staples. There is no Whole Foods here in up north area, but I'll be fine as long as we have Natural Grocers. Oh, they don't provide you a plastic bag so bring your own bag (if not, no worries, you can still get a box for free to carry your items). A+ for their eco-conscious approach as well. read more

I come here periodically for my low carb bread. They sell the Julian bread that I love and I get it here for $9/loaf. Yes pricy but if you get the right one its great and lasts a good while in the fridge. a lot longer than that sprouted ezekiel bread that goes bad within 4 days if your not careful. Who eats that much bread in less than 4 days? Anyway when you first walk in you are hit square int he face with the smell of "something" Still havent figured it out but it must be some kind of nature herb suppliment or something. ITs pungent. IT stings the nostrils. But once you get past that this store is quaint and you'll find all kinds of stuff you didnt even know existed or that people actually ate. I see thin in shape people in here and I look to see what they are buying . . I love this place. I love the people. I love the service. I love the offerings. This is my second home. So, you ask, why 4 stars and not 5? While they go out of their way to be mindful of us by implementing safety features and practices, the company chooses not to enforce personal protection equipment for customers. I find it hard to shop and feel safe and at peace when others wander in and shop as if a pandemic isn't happening or because they feel great, etc. There are a number of us who are most at risk, yet we too want to have some freedom to be able to at least venture once a week outside the home in relative safety. My family and I don't eat out, go to Costco, etc. This one-star-less review is an indictment of the company at large rather than this store. By all means, shop here! With a mask. Typically my visits to Natural Grocers is pretty good. However this last visit on 14Apr2019 was disappointing. The reason I am giving 3 stars is because I had to throw away the Chao cheese I bought. I was not soft like it usually is and it smelled funny. It broke all up when I would try to grab a slice as well. The best by date was 06/24/2019 so I am not sure why the cheese was like this (not sure about rules regarding 'best by' dates) but surely there was something wrong. I went ahead to threw the whole pack away and that cheese is not cheap either... Anyway, I will still probably go there for vitamins but I probably will not buy any refrigerated items again... :-( read more

It's a nice store for sure. It's a little out of the way for me but I always find what I need and then some. However the issue I have is I bought a bunch of thing advertised as on sale. Like all the Frozen Amy's Asian meals. I didn't get the sale prices on anything advertised as on sale. Maybe I need to be a rewards member? I come here periodically for my vegetarian mock meats, or vitamins only because I can't afford to come here to buy all my groceries, otherwise I would. I was so excited when I learned that there was a healthy, natural grocery store CLOSE to my house! Walking in there it just smells so....fresh and crisp. It may be small in size, but it's actually packed full of stuff. I could stay in here for hours. call me weird, but I love walking around and just seeing all the healthy options they have to offer, even if i don't buy it. I have never been here before and have heard a lot of great things about them!When you first walk in they have the produce section which has a lot of different produce like a variety of sweet potatoes and bananas.and mushrooms that are hard to find at regular grocery stores and everything is organic!! By the way you do have to bring your own bags which I didn't know but in case you didn't bring bags they have boxes you can take.If you are trying to eat healthy this store is amazing for you to stay on you diet whether it be Vegan,Keto,plant based or shine 30!! Lol a lot of things I've seen on Instagram here like the Malk nut milk I had to try it! I don't know how exciting a health food store review can be, but I can tell you this.....I was pretty darn excited when I found out that a health store finally opened in Cedar Park called "Natural Grocers." Being a city slicker most of my life, the adjustment to living in the 'burbs for the past few years has been an awakening of sorts. I've discovered that I can't always just jog a couple of blocks for this or that, or hop on my scooter and arrive at a destination with the blink of an eye. I've grown accustomed to my long journeys down 183 to shop at all things "Whole" or for a "Sprouts" run to find organic or specialty items. No longer will that black hole of time be necessary. This new little store is surprisingly well stocked for its small stature. It's an unassuming place - no bells and whistles, no fanfare, no bling bling, no pretension or fancy pants. This place is earthy like the items they carry. You will not get lost in this store (I suppose anything is possible, but if you do, beware - something is probably physiologically amiss). They offer an array of the usual suspects: organic options of all kinds, foods for vegetarians, foods for allergy sufferers/food sensitive eaters, and vitamins everywhere. Their vitamin selection would make a drug dealer blush. It was an unexpected surprise to discover the large variety of gluten-free items they carried....their gluten-free options are worthy of a gun fight in the Wild West. Their fresh produce area is smallish, but adequate with organic options available, and they have a decent selection of organic frozen produce. If you take in your Natural Grocers "green" bag to use for sacking your purchased items, they will donate a portion of your purchase to a charity like Habitat for Humanity. They give back to the community - how cool is that? If you're out in the C.P. sticks and need a health store, this place might just meet your needs. read more

Have you ever walked into a grocery store to buy milk and come out with a flip flops, toys, and a scarf, in addition to a cart loaded with items you don't want? Well, this seems to happen to me a lot. After watching the "Supermarket Secrets" documentary, I realize how much research goes into making me buy the non-neccessities. Then I discovered what I thought was a vitamin store, like GNC, but I was wrong. Natural Grocers is a great small store that sells high quality, organic, and health-conscious groceries and supplements. They have everything you need, but there is a small selection. Research has shown that the longer you spend in a store, the more you buy (hence the one way winding aisle that takes you through tempting items like cheetos and wine.) For someone who is indecisive, a small, but high quality selection makes my shopping much easier and faster. The groceries are not cheap, but is very comparable to Whole Foods in quality and type of brands carried; but, Whole Foods has a larger selection of different brands for each item. At Natural Grocers, there is only one or two brands of each type of product. The sales are really good and they take manufacture coupons. If you are a health conscious, organic grocery shopper, this is a great place to go. I still go to HEB for some items, but most of my shopping is done here now. Even stuff I haven't been able to find elsewhere, like Beeler's breakast sausage, the best sausage on the planet. They even have Gan Mao Ling common cold remedy. YAY! I visited Natural Grocers today. I just started a gluten free diet and HEB did not have a great selection of Gluten free products. I am so glad I decided to check out this store. They have an amazing selection of gluten free products; pretty much anything you could want. I don't think I will be missing any foods any more. There is also a large variety in brand selection so that if I don't like a brand of gluten free pasta I have many more to choose from! Another great plus to this store is that they put a larger purple GF label next to everything that is gluten free so that it is easy to find. The staff was helpful and friendly and there were lots of gluten free samples to taste. This is my new grocery store! read more

The store is nice and very welcoming and I am big on that. If I feel unwelcome some place I rarely return. Excellent source of good stuff all the way around---I buy my milk, eggs, meat and veggies here---and there's a lot of organic stuff here you can't find at other stores. I especially like that they have organic cream without the preservatives you'll find in some brands. I come here for most of my groceries since HEB expanded and changed inventory, which made some essentials too expensive for me to shop there. I compared receipts and found myself paying more at HEB for almost everything except the meat. I also like that I've never found cracked eggs there like I find every time I get organic eggs from HEB. As an added bonus, the Farmer's Jumbo Organic Eggs at N.G. have been having double yolks lately! One of the most attentive staff members I have ever met, Claire! She went out of her way (in a busy checkout line) to help me find organic grapes from the back and packed my groceries very carefully. When I called 4 hours later thinking I was missing something, she immediately remembered where and how she had packed it! In a matter of seconds, I found it! I LOVE this place. We were new coming in but they had EVERYTHING we were looking for like organic purple sweet potatos and all natural skin care products and essential oils. I'll admit it was pricey but when you consider the cost that goes into quality products vs crap, the price is to be expected and you get what you pay for. A store clerk walked me through and thoroughly discussed some of the different levels of skin care products. She was very nice and knowledgeable. We will definitely go back, especially to get my purple potatoes. They had exceptional covid precautions and I felt very safe there. Keep it up guys! read more
