To make matters worse, the drinks come in aluminum cans that are opened and poured into clear plastic cups. This is an outdoor market, so naturally it's hot outside. Within about 15 minutes, the drink was warm and noticeably watered down from melting ice. For what they're charging, I expected something that would actually stay enjoyable for more than a few minutes. And then there was the customer service. The woman at the register took my payment, didn't give me everything I ordered, and then walked away when I tried to get her attention. I had to wave down another employee just to get what I had already paid for. When you're charging premium prices, the food, drinks, and service should actually feel worth the money. Unfortunately, none of them did. The only positive thing I can say is that the actual market itself is very nice and appealing to walk through. They have a good variety of produce, merchandise, and other vendors, and the atmosphere is pleasant. Unfortunately, the food and drink experience didn't live up to the market itself. The food, drinks, and customer service left a lot to be desired. With the prices being as high as they are, I expected a much better experience. The market may be worth visiting to browse, but I would personally skip the food and drinks.

Came here to grab a few things, or at least we thought it was going to be a run for that. However, we kept running into some issues. What we wanted was either a bit overpriced or out of stock. I liked the store as a whole. It is much nicer than other grocery stores I have been in. Almost on the level of Harris Teeter if you will in this area. I guess a tip for shopping here, plan ahead. Especially if you are in town on vacation. It'll make for a better experience, less time spent browsing, and not having to deal with all that havoc of everyone else having the same idea as you when you get to the area.

She stopped what she was doing to take me to where they were. It was a good distance away. I asked another employee, Jess, for help finding Hard Cider. Same thing. Stopping what she was doing just to help me. Finally, the cashier Amanda, went above and beyond to put rubber bands around my cakes, double bagged the heavier groceries then used a Wegman's Card that would save me money. My neighbor gave me the idea to come down here to get gas for the lawn mower as they sell pure gas (non-ethanol). Coming down from Virginia Beach, it does take some time, but I am glad I came down here. When I first came up to the place, I could tell it looked more like an "old school" gas station. It felt like a bit of history. When I came inside, I was surprised that it was more than a gas station or convenience store. There is a limited supply of this gas, so there is a limit to how much you can get. You will have to pay for gas inside. The attendant inside will hold your credit/debit card while you get the gas and then will charge the actual amount at that time. Gas is available on a first come, first serve basis, so be sure to contact the store ahead of time to ensure gas is available. The area is pretty quiet, so there isn't much to choose from, but there is a lot of natural beauty around. This store looks to be more of a general store and grocery store as you can get fresh produce, etc. Think of this place as an elevated convenience store with much more options than a typical convenience store. Overall, my experience was great here. I'm glad my neighbor told me about this place, and I will look to do this in the future as well. I love the small town vibe to the place. If you are in this area, this place is worth checking out, whether it is for gas or other general items. This is the prime example of supporting a local business.

In addition to having grocery staples they have an impressive collection of condiments for seafood as well as common ingredients for preparing seafood. I was most impressed by the stacks of hush puppy mix from various brands. It was a fabulous sight. We get steamed crabs from Billy's annually. As a Maryland commercial crabber my father is quite picky (no pun intended) about his crabs and he trusts Billy's Seafood. On my recent visit to the store another customer was picking up steamed shrimp which smelled so good. This market is charming and the employees are delightful.
