First of all, location: Center Street Mercantile is not on Center Street anymore - it's on Block Street in the same shopping center as Little Bread and Dark Star. It's a welcome change, much easier to get to with a better parking situation. parking nearby is paid during weekdays, but it's free nights and evenings. There are coin meters and you can get more than an hour of time with $0.25. Second, the goods: Nice variety here of party food, decorative bowls, jewelry, local carvings... Good hodgepodge of things. You'll pay more here than at a big-box store but the goods are fairly priced. They also have a farm fresh eggs sometimes! Third, the candles: Yes, the candles get their own category. The owner of the store has a collection of candles he has made that are scented like different hot spots in Northwest Arkansas - Majestic Lounge, Common Grounds (RIP), Thorncrown Chapel, the ballpark... and they really capture the scent of each of these places! I would buy the entire collection if I had the money, but I do have four of them. Fourth, the owner: SUPER nice! He's always been super friendly when I am in the store but he doesn't look over your shoulder while you're shopping. He's really knowledgeable about everything in the shop. The store is generally open Tuesday through Saturday, but I was super thrilled it was open on a Sunday for the Christmas season and I definitely spent my money there today. I'm really happy to support this local business.

In fact, I wouldn't have ordered at all if it was on pre-order, as I really didn't care either way about the sweater. Why would I wait weeks/months, since they don't tell you how long pre-order is, for a sweater I only halfway cared about). I just received it on 2/6/2023. It's a Hanes Ultimate Cotton sweater that sells for $16 online. The price on RiffRaff? $54. The print job is fine but that's literally all they do. Buy a cheap sweater and print on it, and take nearly a month to do it. I could've bought one hand stitched off Etsy for that same time and price.

had a very disappointing experience at this Goodwill location. My family and I were waiting in line…read morebehind another customer for about 15 minutes. When we finally went up to pay, the staff abruptly told us the line was actually on the other side of the checkout area, hidden behind a rack of clothes where we genuinely could not see anyone waiting. When I politely said, "Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't realize there was a line there," the response from the cashiers was incredibly rude and dismissive. What made it even more frustrating was that the employees had clearly seen us standing there the entire time and never once mentioned we were in the wrong place. The store itself was also very disorganized and messy, which made the whole experience even worse. It seemed severely understaffed, and unfortunately the staff members who were there were not helpful or friendly at all. We ended up leaving immediately without making a purchase and will not be returning. If I was able to give zero stars, I absolutely would.
