This little Food Lion store was surprisingly well appointed for its size and also very clean. I…read morewas impressed that none of the veggies were in rough shape. I live on the road for most of the year so I visit lots of different grocery stores and unfortunately it's not unusual to find mushy or moldy vegetables in produce sections. This store did have a few bagged salads and such that were close to expiration date but they were still within range. The meat section was very small but I was surprised find a pretty good variety. The prices were pretty decent which says a lot nowadays but we did stick mostly to generic and sale items. The best part of the store was the staff. All of them were very polite and they proactively moved pallets of items they were stocking if they thought there was even a slight possibility they were in the way of me searching for an item. The young man that checked us out wasn't super chatty but he was polite and near the end gave us a big laugh when we jokingly gave him credit for the store discount card and he played along by throwing us a double peace sign in response. Overall it was a pretty positive shopping experience and I'll return for my next shopping trip while my husband and I are in the area.
