The store buys leftover inventory and sell as deeply discounted prices. If you are looking for it, they probably got it. Lots of parking out front and aisles of stuff to explore. While it may not be a huge spot, it is filled to the brim with goods of all varieties and is certainly still a store that I can and have easily been entertained at for a while. We popped in looking for some furniture in the form of a dining table set and we ended up leaving with a candle, some outdoor lights and a cooler...none of which we were after or truly in need of. Back to the table...they had a table we loved, but they had it due to some damage on it and unfortunately the scratch was a little too deep to fix so we sadly passed. Most of the items are new in package, but they do sell second life items that feature some variety of damage. Nothing glaring, but enough to be noticeable on most of these items. Overall, The Yard Sale Store was a cool spot to spend some time on a weekend afternoon. While we do not find ourselves in Mt. Juliet too often, when we do...this place with be on the radar!

Goodwill being one of the worst I've seen (they pre pick and filter through donations and sell the best online so you're left with sloppy seconds in the store, this goes for any Goodwill). Also, I'm not a vintage shopping kind of gal, which seems to be most popular around here. It's just not the kind of apparel I wear on the regular, but if I were to shop vintage I rather score a find for a fraction of the price at a thrift store. Ok enough about my particularities, but given all that, when I walked into Southern Thrift, I knew that THIS was my place. First, the selection is huge, it's not some small boutique thrift store. Secondly, everything is nicely organized by size and apparel type, and on a Saturday the store was pretty neat, well kept, and not crowded to my surprise. They price every item individually, rather than a flat rate for all shirts, or all pants which you normally see. I bought a super casual t-shirt for $1.99 and something a little fancier for $5.99. Makes sense, as there are variations in brands, quality, and style that should be taken into account when pricing. I'm anxious to check out their other two locations (2710 Old Lebanon Rd & 5010 Charlotte Pike) in Nashville. Between all of the locations, this should take care of my thrifting binges!

This place feels a lot like it... but... I don't know. Part of it is probably the location, right in the middle of industrial Elm Hill Pike. Part of it is the ambiance, which feels more like a small warehouse than a store. Part of it is the very blase attitude of the employees: they're very whatever, when I'm looking for a smile and some chitchat. They've got lots of great snacks and they're cheap cheap cheap. Stuff looks like vending food stuff and at least 25% cheaper. Loving that. There's janitorial stuff, business stuff, office supplies, that kind of thing. You can get in and out there faster than Sam's, and it's reasonably priced, but it's got a chilly attitude, and not very inviting.

I really like that they sell the 20oz Coke products. Most places only carry the 16oz versions. Although I have never really asked any questions of the staff, this place has always been friendly to me. I wish they had later hours in the evening and open on weekends, but I understand because their client base is probably not large enough to warrant paying someone to stay open later. Nashville seems to be in short supply for places like this. I'm glad Merchant Mart is here for concessions type businesses.

Me and my wife won front of the line passes…read morelast week and got in on Friday at 10am but there were people in line who were looking to resell product and trying to cut in front of people who had been waiting since the sun rose. Going in at 10am people were running at full speed, groups and families ran in and canvassed what was valuable and by 15 minutes in there was a line of customers at the testing table, almost everyone had carts filled to the brim with electronic doo dads they were making sure worked and could be resold. Meanwhile me and the wife got out with 3 things we needed, paid $15 each, and discovered when we got home it was about $350 in merch, came back the next day and picked up two more of the things that are $170 retail, and felt amused. I will say one thing I think could be improved is to find some OCD kids and let them go through and sort things. My kids love doing that there, grouping the 200 of the same items into one area. Gotta be other kids that do that too. Oh yeah, and randomly they threw a princess party into the mix on Saturday which is why we were back and discovered there were 2 more $170 things there.

There's an open artificial grass area for guests to rest. There's also a small children play area right next to it. There's a lot of parking lots all over. Restrooms are available at every short interaction, very convenient for guests. There are few restaurants here including Shake Shack. But all the shops we went inside were so small. Even big brands like MK, Coach, American Eagle, Swarovski, Adidas, Nike all of them have such small stores. I have never seen been to any outlet with such tiny stores with limited products. But there were good deals on prices and discounts, some places up to 60%. Many of store spaces were also empty and doors were covered with brown paper. We salvaged our trip at Express, we found couple of items we liked that were on sale.

Half the store is reserved for clearance items, with most being shoes on the back wall. I found a great paid of loafers that were well over 50% off retail, so I was pumped! In addition to the shoe wall, they have several racks of discounted clothing. Some items are full price, but majority of stuff has some level of discount. The store is clean, well maintained and organized. Service was stellar, the associate was kind, helpful and just a joy to deal with. Overall, love me some Johnston & Murphy. Will happily swing by when I am at the outlets again!

The seamstress seemed kind and understanding, and the dress was ready on the exact date promised when I first came in. Thank you also for fixing a spot in the fabric that had seemingly snagged/scratched and for steaming the final product! Services were pricy (and had to be paid up front), since the dress was not from the store, but I would consider this Nordstrom Rack again with future alterations needs.
