I had a flashback to my childhood, walking home from elementary school and stopping at the small store on the corner to buy penny candies and other goodies like banana flavored Now & Laters or candy cigarettes. I had to go into that store. Luke R. and Rachel F. were walking by. I pointed out the penny candy sign, and the four of us went in to explore. We found video boxes on display, shelves of candy galore and a fridge with sodas, not a commercial fridge but one like we'd have in our homes. I felt like I went back in time. I think we all did because we giggled and bounced around the store like we were kids! Did I buy any candy? You're damn right I did, and I'd go back and do it again!

They had those styrofoam-y UFO things that seemed questionable, sixlets, candy cigarettes, bubble-gum cigars, all the lemonheads/boston baked beans/etc. you could think of and so much more... Also: DVDs, if you're into that sort of thing. Also: pinball, if you're into that sort of thing. Also: a doll collection behind the counter, if you're into that sort of thing. But, we have found awesome things here for ourselves and our grand littles. We take the time to clean them well- toys , clothes, etc. anything we purchase. And we come home happy to rehome items and to save money. It's a win win. We enjoy this store more than Salvation Army and goodwill which we also frequent. On weekends, everything in the store is 1/2 off. You can't do any better than that. Go in knowing you have to give a little to get a little. We have shopped here for years. We appreciate the value.

The floors looked dirty and the wares were haphazardly piled on top of each other on the shelves. The prices also seemed high, but I'm not sure if they have some sort of discount based on tag color or something. There was a lady making a bunch of noise tossing sporting goods merchandise around as I thought she shopped, but later on I ran across her in another area of the store throwing plastic toys around and realized that she was an employee. I went in the store and waited ANOTHER 20 minutes while they were apparently grabbing it (it doesn't take that long to grab an item from the back). They have many different cuts of lamb and will cut anything to order for you. Yes they sell lamb tongue and stomach plus you can buy intestines. Now for the best part....the freshly baked pita. I have seen multiple pharmacists come and go and ironically every single bad experience is when Mohamed is on duty. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. I called the pharmacy at 2pm and left a voicemail. He returned my call at 3:30pm and advised me my prescriptions would be ready within the hour. I arrived at the pharmacy at 4:45pm. I was told by an unnamed pharmacy employee that one script (of 3) was filled. I advised her that there should be 3 and her reply was "yeah, and one is ready" I explained how I spoke to Mohamed and he advised me they would be ready in an hour. At this point we are at almost 5:00pm. I sat and waited while she did lord only knows what. What I DID see her do was completely ignore an elderly woman for 10 minutes who left the pharmacy counter. She and Mohamed then tried to justify their "promised" time of 5:09pm (this time was "promised" when Ms. unnamed no name tag started the expedited/waiting process. When I offered up my call log she had no response. Every single time there is a prescription issue HE IS INVOLVED. Please do your corporation a favor and get rid of him.
