I love Ollie's . We were heading on a trip, so I had to stop in and pick up a couple of things…read more It's definitely not fancy, but it's an amazing store. Everyone who works there is friendly and helpful. I've always referred to them as "big lots, on steroids." The place is huge! They primarily sell manufacturers extras and overstock, and maybe the previous models of things. But, everything is good. Groceries, snacks, clothes, toys, home, and garden, housewares, kitchenware, tools, carpeting even furniture. If you see what you like, buy a little bit extra, because there's a good chance it won't be there the next time you come in. The stock always rotates. That's what makes it fun. It's like a giant treasure hunt. Also, if you sign up for a free "Ollie's army" membership, they will send you information on discounts that you can get off of their already great prices. I am a fan. I wish these guys were in California. Thanks!

While this isn't a top to bottom 99¢ store, Ollie's heavily reminds me of NYC's Jacks 99 by Macy's…read moreon the West Side eons ago. Ollie's isn't glam- so let's just get that out the way. But Ollie's, met me there with their ceramic rectangular planting boxes at a fraction of the cost of what Home D.+Lowe's charge. The space is huge. And like their website states, Ollie's is the biggest "retailer of closeout merchandise & excess inventory". Aisles are also filled with no-frills brands. Some products are better than others so do your research while you're here and read. For instance, I saw this unknown sheet set brand and when I noticed the polyester fabric label, I put it back quick. From canned goods, toiletries, garden supplies, outdoor, books, toys, etc, etc, etc, etc, you can rack up. Cheap shopping, that's all it is and I like it- depends what I'm getting. Service was pleasant and the cashier helped me sign up for their loyalty program so I can accrue points and discounts for the future.

I got probably WAY too much candy, a cookie sheet, some towels and kitchen stuff, a scented candle, and misc other stuff for about 24$ including tax. One thing I must say is that if you're from NYC it's great to come here for people watching. I *literally* saw a family of huckleberry's pile out of a lifted pickup truck and spill into the store. The father, of course, wearing the bad-a*s 2-wolf shiny-shirt-thing tucked into jeans and boots; he obviously knows how to do it up. As they were screaming across the store at each other I could not help but smile as I pictured them striking oil in their backyard and moving to Beverley Hills with grandma tied to the back of the dune buggy in her rocking chair. Other than the subtle charms of the place, it's a good, cheap place to go for various utensils and cooking things! :)

The staff is very helpful - will go look in the back for items you want and are pleasant at checkout which is refreshing considering the sad state of customer service in most places. Kudos to sales associate Michelle - a most cheerful little pixie!

Well organized and group by category. The list below is dependent upon season, but this is what I've seen there. They come with their cell phone and buy out entire styles of clothing. It's really discouraging, because it left the store almost bare in July when I witnessed this predatory behavior that only continues to perpetuate inflation. One thing that is confusing is the curbside parking spaces as there is no way to purchase online from what I can gather. Definitely a must stop for back to school.

My wife got a good deal on a pair of sandals.
