Whether it be condiments, napkins, plates, plastic utensils, snacks, etc. They have most of the essentials. The remodel was the best thing to happen to this store. It made me start shopping here over Dollar General across the street. After the remodel, I immediately noticed all the new isles, fridges & merchandise that was put in. It was exciting to have more options when I shop in this little town.(: It would be cool if they expanded more over time. Maybe put in a little meat/cheese deli or a bakery. Like Smith's in Dayton! There's not a huge selection of meat in the fridges. Customer service is A1 majority of the time. Steven, is the most easy going & friendly guy. He is never in a bad mood! He always asks us how our day is going or what we have going on for the day. We enjoy that he interacts with us while he scans our things. FD has sales a lot too! Overall, this Family Dollar is the best convenience store in town. We will continue to shop here for most of our home essentials.

The bad was left at the front close to the door in a store that's clearly concerned about theft. So while in the store, we were worried about his bag and had to be fast. When we went up to pay for our items, I suggested to the cashier who told him to leave his bag that they should put a sign on the door like other businesses do and she immediately got extremely defensive and started being wildly disrespectful and started raising her voice. I did not raise my voice one time. I kept repeating that I was just making a suggestion. The manager came over and took over the sale and was extremely kind and polite which is why I gave two stars instead of one. She even agreed that a sign would be ideal. Other stores that don't allow bags have signs so you can decide if you want to lock your bag in your car or not. We don't feel comfortable leaving the bag unattended in a store with high theft and that was all I was trying to express that a sign would be helpful. I didn't expect to have the clerk blow up at me. Employees inside are yelling at customers standing outside the front doors......"NO you can't come in!" Male & female voices. Couldn't "see" anyone. It'll be two months next week that their A/C has been nonfunctional. If their doors are open/unlocked, they should be working. Maybe instead of milking DT for a paycheck, they should battle with corporate offices to get the A/C fixed!
