The place is massive. I'm pretty sure you could land a small aircraft between the snack aisle and the electronics section. I stood there for a moment doing the classic "deer in headlights" routine, wondering if we needed a compass, trail mix, and maybe a guide rope just to survive the journey. Fortunately, my wife quickly snapped me back to reality. Apparently, this wasn't her first rodeo. She had a system--a well-thought-out shopping strategy that rivaled a military operation. Once she gave me my marching orders and we followed her usual route through the store, everything started to fall into place. Suddenly the overwhelming warehouse transformed into an organized treasure hunt. And what a treasure hunt it is. The selection is incredible. One minute you're looking at everyday groceries, and the next you're discovering sodas you've never seen in your life--flavors that sound like they were invented during a late-night science experiment. Then, just when you think you've seen it all, you realize there's an indoor pizza place casually sitting there like it's the most normal thing in the world. Shopping break? Don't mind if I do. The variety here honestly beats any shopping experience I've had in the last decade. Whether it's food, household items, gadgets, or those random "how did we live without this?" finds, Costco seems to have it all--and usually in sizes large enough to survive the next ice age. By the end of the trip, I went from overwhelmed rookie to proud cart-pushing assistant under my wife's expert leadership. We left with great deals, good food, and enough snacks to make our pantry look like a convenience store. Final verdict: Come prepared, bring a strategy (or a wife who already has one), and be ready for a surprisingly fun adventure. For a few of the locals.....clearly you don't know how Costco works....they don't carry the same stuff ALL the time. Merchandise varies based on so many factors....time of year availability, holidays, customer interest, cost to Costco and if they can pass the savings on to their members. If you really miss an item, let the store manager know, and if they get enough complaints, they will look into getting it back in stock. As for the non-Costco vendors, tell them NO. Repeat, repeat, repeat, and keep on walking; it's not that difficult. The portion sizes are too big? My God. DON'T BUY IT THEN. Sheesh! Or, you know, you could freeze it like the rest of us. We found a few products not available in our Costco in the midwest (and still not there), and picked them up to take home, which is pretty typical everytime we go out of state. It was at this Costco that we discovered they brought books back! We found the location to be a little surprising, what with it being directly across from the Daytona Speedway, but that then gave us a famous landmark to look at, so.... Anyway, it's Costco. Easy in, easy out, tons of different stuff you do and don't need. Prices better on some stuff, worse on others. Shopping on a Sunday they had one cash register, and then self check out open. The line was all the way back to the food, which is really long for this location. Went shopping for a specific book that they say is in stock and they have a few copies. It allowed me to order it for pick up, but could not find it in store. I did ask for help, but nobody was able to help me there was nobody in that section and I kept getting the runaround The store overall is not neat and organized. Stuff is just laying everywhere and it could be because it is the holiday season, but they seem to be short staffed as well.

Most recently they had an event where they would hide a golden egg in April. The golden eggs were in a hidden spot all over the store and the customers were given hints for each day in order to find said egg. I unfortunately did not find an egg but it was super fun. There were 4 eggs for each day, each egg with a different amount of money to use towards a purchase. Off the top of my head, it was $20, $50, $100. I forgot the fourth egg, but you get the jist. Also, once you come in they have complimentary coffee and tea for you to try. These are actually products that they sell in store so I would recommend checking it out and giving it a try. My husband purchased a pair of Sketchers Sandals in December from Belk. He has worn them a total…read moreof 5 times. He went to put them on this morning and split in half. We went to Belk to exchange or get a refund since he's only worn them 5 times. They no longer had his size so we requested a refund. They said that they can't tell how much we paid being it was over 30 days. The sandals were regularly $65 and we got them on sale for $48 when we purchased them. The store would not credit our Belk account for the $48. Their system would only allow a refund of $17 on a gift card since we didn't have the receipt. If we had known the sandals were going to split like that we would have kept the receipt. I feel that their excuse that the system can't find pricing if over 30 days is total bull crap and a way for the store to profit and the consumer to be out of money for sandals that only last 5 times of being worn. We will no longer shop at their store. They should be able to look up anything that I charged on their Belk Mastercard. You have lost a loyal customer for such horrible customer service.
