Was visiting from out of town and during my visit my car was involved in a hit and run accident and…read moremy car was totaled so I had to get a rental car through my insurance at Hertz and I've had terrible experiences with Hertz before especially the Oakland location which is my home location so I wasn't looking forward to going there but to my surprise this location was such a different experience. The customer service was top tier all of the ladies that were in the office during my visit and were very welcoming and so sweet. Alma is the one who helped me get my rental and she was the best. I had to come and give her a raving review for her professionalism and great customer service :) thank you for making my visit a great experience I won't forget it!

There were two girls, and I understand they were short staffed, so it's not THEIR fault, they did the best they could! I didn't get picked up like I was told and the body shop nicely drove me there, when it wasn't their job. Every person had to wait at least 30-40 minutes for a car and then the person took another 15-20 minutes to wash it. It did not go well for the people who had a bit of a time frame and expected a car pretty quickly. I was told I'd have a car that didn't actually exist when it was my turn. I've dealt with Enterprise many times and was hoping Hertz would be great as well. It really is unfortunate. The corporation needs to gets it business together so these employees aren't yelled at for what isn't their fault!

If I could give zero stars I would. First you make an appointment and finalize everything. Upon…read morearrival the address given to you and online isn't the correct address, it'll take you to Walmart. So I can the number that was given to me and it takes me to a call center that is no help in finding the location. So if you need help finding the place they can't even connect you to the actual rental spot. Then they take money out of your card ask for your info and then decline you!! There's a credit check. My car is currently getting fixed so it was important to get the best rate. I took a uber that cost $55 total to get to this specific location for the price I locked in. Why didn't they check if I was qualified before arriving. I wasted my time and money. If you want to rent a car I suggest to look at enterprise, at least they won't give you false hope or waste money getting there.

I'm sure he can fix it but the agent told he can't. I also told them I prepaid for the rental when they charged me at pick up and i was told it'll fall off when I return car. She also told me if I dispute it with my bank they won't rent to me anymore. Okay, I guess I won't rent at this location. Too inconvenience for me.

The insurance company made a reservation for me because our car was taken to the auto body shop for repairs. I was immediately contacted by Dominic at Enterprise and he confirmed the date and time for pick up. I arrived and my rental ready and waiting. The employees were friendly and professional. I made a few phone calls in the early morning to get a rental car. The first person I spoke with stated that I would be picked up at 9:30am. They have a 2 hour min window she informed me. When the call was disconnected, I called back immediately. I tried to reach the office directly, with no success, they kept putting my call on hold without saying anything. So I called the call center back and the second employee said 10am!! I made the reservation and tried reaching the office several more times. Finally, I got ahold of Ana who said they would come and pick me up in 30-45 minutes. Awesome! So, I waited...and waited until about 10, which was the original quoted time. Still no one had showed up. "They were dropping off another customer". It was now 10:18 am and no sign of anyone, and no one called me. I called again and Ana said she would send someone else. I asked the driver if the first person got lost. It was mostly a joke because they aren't too far from where I had them pick me up. The driver told me they were short staffed. My major complaint is that the deposit is $300.00!! Not one person (out of the numerous times I called) told me the amount of the deposit. I feel it is very sneaky to withhold this information until I was sitting inside the vehicle. The deposit was more than the cost of the rental. "In case you don't bring the vehicle back or damage the vehicle". I'm pretty sure if those things happened I would be charged a lot more through my insurance. Anyway, on the way home, the driver was texting about 1/2 the time, while driving. That was concerning as well.

I have a lot of empathy for the young guys working at this facility. Unfortunately, I was there…read moreuntil 6 PM because somebody quit and my car was pushed to the end of the line even though I arrived at 7:45 AM. Why is the owner not supervising these young technicians? They have very little experience and should be supervised by experienced in licensed mechanics. When I picked up my vehicle, the alignment seemed way off. I'm not sure if it has anything to do with the work they performed, but they certainly took the two front rims and tires off the vehicle. All I can tell you is my steering wheel was jiggly back & forth driving over 60mph. As a result, I have to take my suv to a tire shop for a wheel alignment. Another $100 bucks.

Frank holds high standards of service, knowledge and hard work and he insists on the same for his employees. His prices are fair, he's honest and his education is extremely impressive. After I totaled my car frank helped me choose one without hesitation (probably because I kept bringing my choices to him only to have him say NO YO ). After more than a decade of trusting my car and safety with Gateway and thanks to Franks help ... I finally purchased a new car and it Looks like I'll be a loyal customer forEVER The shop is open Mon thru Fri and his prices remain very fair. END UPDATE For years I have been able to rely on and trust the staff of Gateway Automotive. Today when my car died outside of the library I called the shop and Ryan assured me that if I towed it over they would take care of it so I did. I was immediately greeted by the staff and Ryan went straight to work. The problem was diagnosed and repaired in less than 2 hours. He was direct, accurate and incredibly helpful. I am grateful for his hard work. The entire staff is friendly, knowledgeable and professional. I ALWAYS recommend this shop for the fact that they've never been wrong and have always been honest. Many times I've sent my friends to Gateway for second opinions and nearly every time their diagnosis was on point and way more affordable. It's hard to find an honest mechanic in this town...
