Clean restrooms. Organized stores. Hire more help if you are not working the merchandise.

Inventory is decent here, I mostly just shop for arts and crafts stuff. However the customer service sucks, there's an old male worker who is miserable all the time being rude to customers and talking bad about them to his coworkers, I've noticed this every time I've came in and it's very unprofessional especially for someone his age. For this reason I'm giving this location a one star, I'm not sure why corporate is allowing this behavior because I'm sure other people have brought this up before. Horrible. read more

This Dollar is not as fully stocked as other stores. The bathroom is out of order for months now or they claim they lost the keys. Most all items are $1.50 or more. Other stores offer a better shopping experience I believe. read more

As of January 2022 ~ No price hike at this Dollar Tree... still $1 ~ Just sayin'! They are always busy, they are always stocked (for the most part - can't help Covid & icy snow storms) & they are always friendly & this is my fave Dollar Tree in the area! I love coming here to pick up treats for my candy basket at work (yep, I'm that girl, lol) & you can even score Godiva chocolate bars here! Am a bit miffed at the now $1.25 prices. While glad for the employees, this corporate decision isn't hurting them, thank you to inflation for this and more. Cards are still 2 for $1. That's huge as to pay $3 to $5 for a piece of cardboard is beyond my comprehension. They have the "Works" toilet bowl and shower cleaner. It's very effective. The employees here are helpful. I must say this store is quite organized. Some look like a F5 tornado had fun. Going in here is good for basics. Candy and other items, are cheaper at Walmart now. It is what it is. Still a good spot. I like this location also. That works more in its favor. read more

This used to be the local dollar tree I go to. However, it has gotten a little worse today. If you live nearby, I'd still recommend this dollar tree. If you're a dollar tree fan, you might not find the specific item you want nor fun random things you can only find here. I liked this dollar tree because it always had the new items in season and it was never messy. There's also a refrigerated section for frozen foods and drinks. It's not too big, making items easy to find. It's convenient if you live in annandale. However, I noticed that a lot of items are out of stock, whether it's seasonal or not. As one of the newer dollar tree, I thought they would keep up with most stockings. I went there for school erasers about two weeks ago and they didn't even have that. read more

Usual dollar store stuff, they had lots of books but only a few titles. Much of the stuff is now $1.25 but I think some is still $1 so it's a little confusing, not that a quarter makes a big difference. Staff was friendly and if you stop here you'll probably find something you need and some other stuff you don't but will buy because it's cheap. read more

2/9/22 A woman named Rebecca aka Becky, visited this place just before the place increased their price to a $1.25 for mostly everything. We stopped by this place to see if the prices have changed and to see what was sold here. We wanted to get Ice drinks, but they did not have it. What this place does have is some Soda, OJ, Purple Stuff and Sunny Delight. I bought a Sunny Delight and a Strawberry Sunny Delight. Both are very good I must say. YES Ed Grimly was on my mind. Listen to the theme song and he will be in your mind forever...I must say, the voice actor who did the cartoon voice for Ed Grimly also did the voice for Peter Venkman in the cartoon series The Real Ghostbusters. My favorite Saturday morning Cartoon. Yes, I am digressing. My wife came across a watermelon tea she seems to like. I am considering going back and getting us some watermelon and Sunny delight drinks for the weekend. We looked around and saw a mountain of chips. The Superbowl is coming and Cincinnati Bengals and The Rams are going head to head. I think it's time for Cincinnati Bengals to win. Anyhow, there is a lot of junk food in the dollar store: as well, cleaning products that are wonderful to use around the house. It is worth it when you are on a budget. There are TWO types of people who shop at a Dollar Tree: 1). Those who admit to shopping here 2). Those who don't I am in Group one and have no qualms about proudly striding into various dollar stores around the country, and like a skilled bargain hunter, I peruse the aisle on the hunt for $1 items both needed and impulse. I personally don't understand the stigma the dollar stores have for those in Group 2. And you the type of shopper I'm talking about. They enter with a timid look, usually disguised in a baseball cap, sunglasses, and attired in ratty jeans and an old sweatshirt. They try and contain their delight as the same thought runs through their minds as everyone else who steps though the door..."all this stuff is just $1?" This particular Dollar Tree located along busy Little River Turnpike in Korea Town, aka Annadale, VA - might very well be one of the BEST dollar stores in the DMV. What distinguishes it for others of its ilk is that the shelves are usually well-stocked, the aisles clear of boxes waiting to be unpacked, and the employees generally friendly and helpful. At other dollar stores I've visited, it's not uncommon to encounter Zombie-like employees who emanate a "I don't want to be here" vibe and the shelves are disorganized or barren. I popped in the other day to pick up some items for an office party, and I was SHOCKED at the quality and selection of the decorations, plates/utensils, and table coverings. I was able to purchase enough party "stuff" for 15-20 people for less than $10!!! And for stuff like my favorite Haribro Gummy Bears, Utz pretzels, and Snack Factory chips, why wouldn't someone only pay $1 for these items, as opposed to $2-$3 at the Giant (rip-off) or "WAGE"-man's (aka, Wegman's)??? The management at this Dollar Tree should be commended since they are doing an excellent job of providing a superior experience for their customers. read more

I went to the dollar store. SO WHAT!!! I said it....so there. Nothing to be ashamed of. Definitely one of the better ones that I've been to but that could be because it's brand new and has been open here since Labor Day, so it's only been about a month. It's very spacious and clean. Definitely coming back for more of those fiber optic light thingies. read more

Dollar Tree - Discount Store Near Me - Annandale, Virginia

I have been in this Dollar Tree twice now and must admit it exceeds my expectations each time. I have been here when I wanted to make a Dollar Tree stop but am not near my location of preference (near the corner of Park & Cedar in Vienna). This strip mall is interesting and someplace a usually avoid (the Safeway is one of my least favorite places in Annandale). It is worth noting this parking lot can be an experience, lots of folks standing around and someone always seems to be having a fender bender (I think people use it as a cut through). So here is what makes me a fan besides its close proximity: it is well stocked with cleaning and personal products; has good seasonal items from decorations to stickers to costume items; balloons! (I haven't gotten any here yet but image I will); clean; and well serviced (the lines move). I expect I will visit this location more often, here is hoping it holds it good status. read more

Watch out for the cashiers at Dollar Tree on Little River Turnpike in Annandale. We made a small purchase at the store and noted to the cashier that the credit card machine seemed to make two charges. The cashier said not to worry, and that if we were charged twice we could just come back and get a refund. Our credit card was in fact double charged. We called the store to find out how to get a refund. The store representative said, "Oh, we don't do that. You'll have to call your credit card company." We did take the time to do that, and the credit card company initiated a dispute process. In our opinion, a reputable store would have corrected its own error immediately and not left it to the customer to file a complaint. We'll certainly think twice before returning to Dollar Tree. read more

Dollar tree Annandale staff is ver helpful and polite always. last night i went to buy something and found out that store did not have its Air conditioner working for two months. Faces of all the employees were red and they didn't look in a good condition due to the A/C not workin. i felt really bad for them as they're always very helpful. i see them every time I go there. It was hard for me to stay in the store and I wanted to come out of it as soon as possible because it was 90 degrees temperature inside the store at that time. No one can imagine how people were working there for hours. im just requesting whoever is reading this message if you can; do something for them to have workable environment in the store. read more

It seems as if this particular spot has a great selection of everything that you're looking for - just like other locations, there are household/pantry/party supplies/health & beauty/office/toys/and seasonal items. I was able to find all the bins, student supplies, toys for prizes, and other classroom goodies here. The only thing is, you can only exchange goods; they do not offer refunds. The place can be in slight disarray and some items can be completely out of stock. There's ample parking space. Came in for gum stayed for the show and for only a buck. Great deal. The 2 ladies working the registers had a long line but that didnt stop them from entertaining everyone with their unfiltered loud conversation. Mark the manager was very helpful! As a dollar tree connoisseur I know the difference between a fantastic dollar tree and a phenomenal dollar tree (let's be honest there's no such thing as a bad dollar tree). Regardless, some ARE better than others and this location is proof of that. I have been to this location more times than I can count. Amongst other things this store is always well-stocked, clean, and the staff are incredibly friendly. On the particular day that inspired me to actually take the time and give them a much deserved five star rating I needed a significant quantity of a particular product for which I called the store and the manager Mark grabbed the entirety of what I needed off the shelf and set it aside for me to come and purchase with ease and efficiency! The reviews aren't lying. I was in a bind, because I needed to get my Christmas, Holiday, and Birthday stuff for my family and I was running behind. I saw the reviews on Dollar Tree and I stopped by to see if it was actually as recommended. Whoa. I walked in and was shocked at how large and bright it was and that it didn't look like people have rummaged through everything and looking unkept. The management has clearly been well trained that even though this is a Dollar Tree, by having things stocked, in order, and kept up really makes a difference. I have never seen a DT like this and I don't frequent them often because of previous experiences. This DT might have just changed my mind. I was literally blown and am happy this is close to me to where I can frequent the store when needed. When I checked out, I didn't find the staff rude, I found them just being rather efficient and trying to get you out of the door. Some tried to start conversations from what I noticed but - the others were just trying to get you out of the store. I can see how that can be seen as rude, but seeing as I was on a mission, I wasn't really in the mood for lots of conversation either so, at times it's helpful to get moved on through. I absolutely love this place! Conveniently located 10 minutes from me and it has anything and everything that I can possible need or want at a very affordable price (literally, everything there is a dollar). I love making care packages for my friends and this is the perfect place to get a lot of candy and snacks and other treats and it won't break your bank. They have a wide variety of choices of everything you can think up plus decorations for every holiday that comes up. I come to this Dollar Tree whenever I can. It is one of the best. I can pretty much find what I need, however, it has been a long time since I had shop there, and they switch some things around. Like, why? you broke an good system that did not needed to be fix. Regardless, the quality of their product is good for a dollar price since Safeway will charge you for the same product three times the amount. The staff is decent. There is an assistant manger (Gomez, I believe?) who is harassing a kind gentleman. Another manger who kick and slap him for no reason what so ever, and a large man name Kevin who makes everyone uncomfortable. He flirts with girl who are underage, makes rude comments, and seemingly call his manger more often than the rest of the cashier combine (sometimes, he calls them for no reason). How do they put it up? May god have mercy on them. The general manger is a rad gentleman. The my favorite cashier is a named Ridley. He is sweet, funny, and plays guitar. Sometimes, he is clumsy and a bit annoying but overall my favorite. read more

I used to like shopping at this store, however, one cashier there has spoiled my shopping experience. You know the saying, "One Apple Can Spoil the Whole Bunch". The rest of the employees are fine, it's just her. She works at the register and every time I go to check-out, she'll abandon her register, disappear and leave me standing there waiting or direct me to go stand in someone else's line and help the persons directly behind me. I have patience and a thick skin for dealing with people, but after the one dozenth time of being refused at check-out, I started taking it personal because she has looked me right in the face with a "Go away attitude". I'm not a difficult customer and I deal with people in a respectable and professional way. I have never been treated like this ever in my life by anyone. In the future, I will shop some place else like Big Lots, BJ's, Walmart and Target. I sent a letter to corporate in regards to my experience. I guess it really isn't all that important to them that they have a cashier who is allowed refuse service and pick and choose who she wants to assist. read more

This place has so many things! I came for q tips and the marijuana test, and left with way more than that! The people watching here is an A plus bang count it all time slam jam, especially during chili dog summer!
