Was accused of stealing after losing MY money!! pretty sure it was one of the employees. Extremely rude -1000/10 customer service. I stopped in an empty isle, sat my 2 items down and began searching my purse for my lost bill I dropped , one of the pigs come squeaking at me to "STOP STEALING". Now I can completely get how that looks but, 1)they could've just looked at cameras 2)the approach was terrible and extremely uncalled for. While proceeding to approach me with 2 other "things" ($7 hourly associates) trying to intimidate me, the manager touches my PURSE ?!? Over (2) $1.25 items that I already put down prior to searching my bag and pockets . Very disgusting and how this was handled because I am far from a thief. I believe one was on dru&$ and just having a bad night regardless corporate will be involved. Also The "manager" smelt so foul please go anywhere but here!!

Door hours say they open at 8 am. It's 9:10 am on a Monday and nobody on site. Doors locked. People coming and trying to open the door and then leaving. Such a waste of everyone's time.

Nice staff, Katie was very helpful and prompt. The store was so organized, especially compared to most dollar stores! Recommend this location.

this store is next to dialysis most people on dialysis have lung problems and every 5 minutes the employees at the dollar tree are outside smoking even though they have a sign that you can't smoke there. they dont even care when they are told that there are very sick ppl going to the waterloo dialysis. the worst part is the main manager is one of them smoking next to the door.

This has to be the most cleanest, orginized, Dollar Store that I have been to! I stopped by to get a folder, and a gift bag, and I was amazed to see all the aisle very neat and clean. I expected to see stuff on the floor, and messy shelves. Looks like this manager really cares about their store. I like it a lot and I'll be back

Clean, organized, and cheap. Great for quick necessities like greeting cards (2 for $1).

The absolute best place to shop thrift/antique/consignment style in Austin…read more For one, it raises money for good causes. For two, the prices are reasonable and go down each month. You can find some very good deals here if you find the item at the right time. The selection is really good, not a $4 yogurt glass like at a thrift store, but really good quality items.

As someone who goes thrifting every weekend, Next-to-New is one of my regular stops. It's a…read moreconsignment shop rather than a traditional thrift store, so the initial prices are set by the consignors, not the shop. What keeps me coming back, though, is the pricing system. Every tag shows when the item will be marked down next, so if something is a little too expensive for my bargain-hunting budget today, I can either look for older tags that have already been discounted or make a note to come back after the next markdown. It's such a smart system, and it makes shopping here a lot more fun. I also love that the store is staffed by volunteers and that the proceeds benefit local charities. It's nice knowing that my purchases are helping support good causes. For me, though, the biggest draw is the selection. They consistently have a great assortment of vintage glassware, including Early American Prescut (EAPC) and other beautiful older pieces. Since my goal when thrifting is to find things I couldn't otherwise afford, Next-to-New gives me a real chance to do exactly that. Their clothing section is another reason I keep coming back. They always seem to have quality pieces at fair prices, often from really good brands. I especially appreciate that everything is organized by size instead of just by type of clothing, so I'm only looking through items that might actually fit instead of wasting time digging through everything. If you enjoy the hunt and don't mind waiting for markdowns, this is one of the best places in Austin to shop for secondhand treasures.

Hands down the BEST thrift store in Austin!!! Like seriously thank you so so so much for…read moreexisting!!! I am a commercial actress and a stylist on set put me on to Heartening. I'm always on the hunt for commercial friendly clothing to add to my acting wardrobe closet without spending a ton of $$$ and I always have great luck here. The main section of the store, everything is $3!!!! Yes, you read that correctly: $3. Clothes, shoes, accessories/jewelry. $3. Everything is very organized & there are dressing rooms with amazing lighting. The workers are super friendly! They also have a big premium section with things ranging $15+, but items that are worth it! I found so many amazing unique pieces, including very flattering extra long vintage 90s jeans on the baggier side (I'm a tall girl) for $15 - I was SHOOK. I went there again yesterday and found amazing pieces! There is also a free section outside in the back (for those in need). Thank you for making a difference!!! This is what thrifting is about and way too many thrift stores in Austin have completely lost the plot. 1000/10, recommend Heartening!

What makes this spot a "must-visit" is the two-store setup at one location: The $3 Store: Almost everything is a flat $3. I love that I can build a full outfithere for less than the price of a single $10 item at places like Goodwill. The Premium Section: Located in the former warehouse, you can snag brand-name pieces for a tiny fraction of retail. They have an amazing selection of clothes, bathing suits, pajamas, shoes, accessories, and bags. They even have a free section outside for extra finds and fitting rooms on-site so you can make sure everything fits perfectly before you buy. Here are a few outfits I've found here: Customer service is great as well. A total win for the community!
