We have a friend who works at the Dollar Tree in Pittsburgh, PA and has pretty funny stories about the customers. He gets the following question pretty frequently: "Sir, how much is this?" Hmm.....Crickets chirping.... Answer: "A dollar." I'm sure he'd like to smack the beejeezus out of those customers for asking that question. I bet the employees, here, get the same question. This place has a crazy amount of crap, but crap for a buck. I'm a bit hesitant to buy some of the products that you can ingest or apply topically. Call me paranoid but some of the packaging just looks really old skool and questionable. I have a serious love for the dollar tree! This is my go to store for any and all of my party needs, such as glass bowls and vases for candy displays, streamers, etc. I especially love the dollar tree during the holidays, because they have the best deals on cute gift bags, gift boxes, wrapping paper, and inexpensive holiday decor. If you ever want to decorate your office, work area, or throw a Christmas party, this is the place to get all of the essentials that you need for such a steal! For the past couple of years, I've attended a few "ugly Christmas sweater" parties, and because I wasn't able to find any in stores, I went to the dollar tree and bought whatever cute Christmas items I liked and glued them onto a red, white, or green crew neck sweater from target or walmart. I'll upload a picture as a reference of what I'm referring to lol. It's such a fun way to get creative and also get into the Christmas spirit! There are only a few items that I don't think are "worth the money" at the dollar tree, such as paper plates and foil, because you can get more for your money at other stores like target or Walmart, but that would probably be the only negative thing I have to say about the dollar tree. I will never ever overpay for gift bags and gift boxes again. It's totally worth making a trip out to the dollar tree to purchase those items. I used to go to that Dollar Tree quite often, until the Coronavirus made it more necessary to limit my shopping. So, after I came up front getting the things I needed, I was not sure where I should go to check out. But, even before I did anything, the blonde haired woman at one of the checkouts..yelled very loudly at me, saying there are three checkouts open, stand on the blue line. I didn't go to her line after that, I just went to another line to be checked out. So, why does an employee need to act like that? I have worked in retail customer service all of my life. There are quite a few good items at the Dollar Tree for $1.00 each, and the quality of those products can be hit or miss, though. Sometimes the aisles and shelves are a mess and mixed up. Mostly, I come here for a few essentials. Also, I wish there would be more checkers especially given how popular this store is. I go to this Dollar Tree for a few things but only when I really need them. The store is large, much larger than other locations, and while it's messy, it's not nearly as cluttered as other Dollar Tree stores. Everything in the store is truly $1.00 (or less, in the case of some candy). Most of the things are very cheaply made, so you get what you pay for. Items I get here regularly: Gift wrap gift bags sandwich baggies kids toys (poorly made, but hey...) candy Lines are always long, but I stock up on those items and only go every few months. But seriously, go check out one of the smaller Dollar Tree locations on a weekend and you'll find this particular store is head and shoulders above the rest in terms of inventory and neatness. read more

I stop at this Dollar Tree after lunch at Tsing Tao. I had nothing to compare this to until I went to a different Dollar Tree the other day. Now I know that this one is really superior. LOL! It's large and really tacky but I think the tackiness quality adds to the ambience of this particular location. What do I come here for? Well, some things are only worth paying a dollar for anyway. Like: Movie size boxes of candy (yeah the really big ones) $1 each! * Good & Plenty, SweetTarts, Junior Mints..... * Chocolate Covered Mini-Tootsie Rolls (yeah, where else do you get these???) * Gift bags from teeny-tiny to ginormous - $1 each! * Pouffy Bath Net Thingies - (why pay $3.99 or more for these??) * Granddaughter occupiers (like little Play-dohs, stickers, cards, games, books - not bad for $1 and it usually lasts for more than one play) It's also entertaining to come here. They play disco music. You can walk in and get Halloween decorations on one side of the aisle at the same time they have the Easter Peeps on the other! This provides endless opportunities for joking my way through this store. Hey, it's just a silly, good time and I get some things I would buy anyway and save some money doing it. I heart the Dollar Tree Store.........well, most of them at least. This location in particular, is the largest and most organized of all of the spots I've frequented. I organize a lot of events and parties and the Dollar Tree store is the perfect spot for me when I need to pick up small chotckies, decorations, plates/cups, etc. It's also a fabulous place to pick up candies for give-away bags and holiday items. Yes, at times, the selection can be hit or miss. But like most discount stores, you're at the disposal to seasonal or clearance items. Huge store with a lot of useful stuff and a lot of flat-out garbage, but what do you expect? The only reason I ever come here is when my friends and I decide it's time to humor our vices and eat/drink terrible things. The other day my buddy and I chose a bag of Pixie Sticks, a bag of David ranch sunflower seeds, two Minute Maid frozen fruit sorbet-ish cups, and two large-bottle Arizona Green Teas. The tab: a few cents over $6. That's hilarious and awesome, and a straight up bandit's haul for $3 per person. Beyond that, there are candles, other foods/candies, poster boards, soaps, dental hygiene stuff, etc... It's a dollar store, you should know what to expect really. Good location. read more

This particular location is one of my favorites of the dollar tree chain. The dollar tree is my go to for some of the essentials such as: hairbrushes, toothbrushes, loofahs, nail clippers, tweezers, any sort of party decorations, wrapping paper, tape, etc. The employees here are particularly helpful and kind. I also found that over the last couple months they have been putting more people on register, and the lines have been faster and shorter. Another reason I enjoy this location is because the parking lot is gigantic, and there's really not many important stores in the plaza therefore there's always close parking. I admit, its a shame that in many ways this kind of store contributes to excessive consumerism, adds cheap, low quality items to landfills and increases the US trade deficit with China - but it can be a blessing to low income families and at least you don't get that guilty feeling like after shopping at Walmart. This store is just better than the one on Winchester in the Safeway Plaza - its usually cleaner, has more variety and bigger aisles - even though I don't buy much from it, I enjoy the freezer section. This store is awesome. First off, the store was clean and the aisle were organized. They had everything I was looking for and things I wasn't looking for, but decided to get since I was there. Secondly, everything in this store was a dollar, wh-what!?!?! NO LIE, everything that I purchased was a dollar. I thought this was to good to be true. So I splurged a little. At the end, I spent around 60 something dollars and came out with 60 something product. I guess that's why they don't label the prices on their product because everything in there was a dollar. Here is the kicker that made me loose my mind. This store takes manufacturer coupons. So if you like to coupon go here and you will spend less than a dollar on the product you are buying. It's the largest Dollar Tree store I have been too, it's huge. Store carries a lot of items, even baby items such as diaper dispose bag, bottle washing brush, etc. Need a gift bag for gifts, get it here, so much cheaper than other stores. I even get greeting cards here, 2 for a $1, don't need to spend $3-5. Party items, they have plenty of that too. Huge parking lot, plenty of space to park. I love the dollar tree. I like this one the best because its bigger than the other ones I've been to. There's so many great stuff especially for kids! My favorite Dollar Tree. This location is nowhere near my house but I am more than willing to travel here when I know I have a list to conquer. They have a great selection of everything you find at their normal stores, just in mass quantities and variety. You can get a ton of the basics for your party without going over budget. I'm talking, baby showers, adult or kid parties, all holidays and bridal events. Stopping at their smaller chains usually results in me leaving frustrated, disappointed and empty handed. I know I can find what I need at this location, and with options. Of course, you always leave with stuff you didn't plan on buying - but when its only $1 a piece you don't worry too much about those post-it notes, glue, cleaning gloves, contact paper and hair clips that made it into your basket. LOL The staff here was super helpful when I had a question. Leave yourself at least an hour to shop here, there is a lot to see and you have many options to weight. Cha Ching! read more

This is the best dollar store I've ever been to in terms of organization and variety. They have toys, cards, party supplies, office supplies, cleaning and other household supplies, kitchenwares, silk flowers, freezer and other shelf food. It was amazing! Other dollar stores I've been to have either been a mess of things thrown into haphazard tubs and baskets, falling apart all over the place, or else just very very limited in selection. This is kind of like a mini-Target on the cheap! While I wouldn't necessarily buy things I'm pickier about like shampoo and kitchen gadgets, I will definitely stop buy here if I need to stock up on things where I don't care as much about durability/quality, like index cards, disposable party dishware, parchment paper, or ice cream. read more

FAVE DOLLAR TREE By far the best Dollar Tree. I'm from Illinois so I was happy to see my favorite discount retailer is all over the bay, however this location is so far above the dollar/99cent bar that I find myself spending a lot more time combing the aisles. By the way the aisles are so nicely kept and stocked with great spacing so it is easy to move around without stepping on merchandise. This store also stocks the delicious Martinelli apple juice and sparkling variety as well. Kudos to the inventory clerk responsible for that decision! The cashiers are incredibly helpful which is rare for this type of store but I go out of my way passing 2-4 other locations just to come here for my cheap shopping needs. read more
