Mom and I love Dollar Tree in general but this Dollar Tree and the Manager running the store today 7/24/2026 @ 12:30pm must have been my worst experience in retail ever. I am a restaurant manager for 20 plus years. Manager waited too long until lines were backed up to call for backup. Only 1 line was open, another line was open but the gentleman was helping a customer with balloons. Only thing I would have suggested differently would be that he turn is light off when helping a customer. But in all actuality, the MOD should have stepped up, helped the customer with the balloons so the gentleman could have stayed on register. Maybe if the manager didn't have ear buds in her ears and talking to someone on the phone while stocking the refrigerator items in the coolers she would've noticed the need. That need being all the customers upfront. When help finally came there were not 1 but 3 lines open and all were busying ringing. If I were the GM or DM I would go back and review the cameras. Mom and I waited over 7 mins and everyone else that came in after left before us. However we did donated to military families today. Import to be kind to one another, service with a smile because you never know who is using their 5 senses at all times. I hope this is a teachable moment for this store and most of all the MOD today. We will not be back but I hope the store improves for the people of East Norriton and surrounding communities. You all deserve a lot better service that you got today. read more

Probably one of the better dollar store locations! They have added a $5 section that's similar to things you'd find at Five Below. They do a seasonal section as well. The staff is really friendly. One time my daughter lost her combat boot in the store and a few days later they called me when they found it! Really appreciated them caring enough to look for it. read more

I love Dollar Tree in general. I visit them all over the place, and always find something different or new at each and every store. I visited the Norristown store after a visit to Elmwood Park Zoo, because it was conveniently next to Harbor Freight, where I had an errand. The store itself is clearly a high volume location for sales. People were in and out, nonstop purchases going on at the registers. You could tell the shelves were well maintained, because stock was supplied, though rapidly depleting due to the volume of customers. I did not see boxes everywhere like I do in other DTs where the staff hasn't finished putting things out, and takes their time about it. In fact, I saw new season merch on the shelves in this store, which I did not see in other stores for another couple weeks. Kudos for that. I also saw a number of unusual products available here (better and/or different versions/styles of standard items), none of which were available at any of the 3 DT stores I have visited since. It is always a sign of a good store when they carry more variety. That said, my checkout experience was a nightmare, and was totally unacceptable. Just as I've never seen this store's superior merch elsewhere, I have also never experienced such exceptionally miserable treatment at checkout, where I am going to PAY for my purchases. The lines were taking forever, and meanwhile my toddler was starting to fuss, ready for a nap after his long day. The cashiers were milling around in front, watching this insanely long line form, and very slowly get processed. After I'd waited 5 minutes, I was finally next, but the person before me still had a cartful of items to go. Just then, an associate appeared at the other register. I asked her if she was opening a line? Yes. So I got moving my stroller around to the other lane. The woman behind me pushed past me, aggressing to get at the other register. Ew! I am the one who bothered to ask about the line, she hears it, and then runs over me like a jerk. I was surprised that the DT cashier did nothing to ask the other customer to be fair. I have often seen cashiers (decent ones) politely remind pushy individuals of their manners, "Excuse me, but this customer was next." But that will not be happening at the Norristown DT store. They really don't care. So not only did the rude senior bust in front of me, almost tripping on my stroller as she passed, but when I said, "I'm sorry, but I was next. I have a fussy toddler and I'm trying to get out of here," she had the narcissistic belligerence to retort (in the nastiest of voices), "I have fewer items than you!" Then anchored herself there like a thug. WHAT? Her 6 items beat my 7, so she gets to skip the line on me? #1 I was first, and #2 I'm trying to get a fussing toddler out of public earshot as a courtesy to others. But selfish seniors get to go first. Me! Me! Me! Wow. That's all I can say. Narcissistic Personality Disorder, and way too old to be acting that way. DT staff stood by watching, because who cares? As mentioned, the store was great in terms of stock, and they had a great variety, which would normally draw me back for tons more business. But after the apathy of the store staff, and the insanely rude behavior of other customers, I couldn't go back without a bad case of PTSD just to enter the door! read more

With the economy the way it is, everyone is trying to save moolah. What better way than to pick up some stuff at the dollar store? I know, I know...sometimes the price isn't worth the hassle of dealing with pissy employees that are obviously unhappy with their role in life. However, I promise you, none of the people I've encountered here so far are like that. This one has just been remodeled as well as expanded to find items easier, so it's not the crowded labyrinth it used to be. And one of the best parts about coming here is that some of the employees are soo nice. Once my mother bought some party supplies and left one of the signs behind. When I went to get it for her, they had set it aside for us and didn't give me a hard time at all. Specifically, there is a cashier named Theresa who is a total sweetheart. She's a little shy, but she always has a smile on her face and is super polite.(Which is a welcome change from the average sulking dollar store employee) For some everyday items/toys/food/supplies, this Dollar Tree definitely helps you save some green. I've been to many dollar trees and this is one of the better ones. It's large and offers the frozen food section which some smaller locations do not offer. It's fairly organized (a major plus for dollar trees!), and it's more updated compared to some other dollar trees. For the most part employees are friendly and professional. What gets me about dollar trees is that they offer so much and are especially great for parties or events! Overall, pretty good. read more

This is one of my favorite Dollar Tree's which is located in Northtowne Plaza in Plymouth Meeting Pa. It's a Dollar Tree, so it goes without saying it could be hit or miss with the products. That being said, everything is also a dollar so is it really a big deal? They do have some good name brands and a fantastic candy selection (versus what you pay at the movies? Sick deal). The snacks in the freezer section are surprisingly very good too for a Dollar Tree, I always come to stock on up! Love the dollar store. Buying Comet at half the price is great, finding thank you cards, pre-movie snacks, highlighters, degreaser, toothpaste, cleaning gloves, kitchen utensils, you name it, I'd imagine you can find it. Best Dollar Tree Ever! I'm from New Jersey, attending a morning wedding in the area. Before the long drive home, we stopped at this Dollar Tree to pick up a couple bottles of water. Dirty, seemingly unsafe carts, dirty floors, always just have one lane open no matter how long the line is and such awful customer service. A worker was rude to my child and me, when I called later to speak with the store manager I never received a call back. Awful experience each time I go there but the last time was the worst. i came to dollar tree on a saturday with my client, she wanted to purchase something. the lines were far back in the aisles and we were already standing in line for 10 min or so.. the manager came up to the cashier to tell her to go on break. the cashier and manager had the nerve to tell us the register is closed. i told them we been standing in this line for 10 minutes and im not going to the next line and stand another 10 minute again. they were unprofessional and i never left that line and lady ended up ringing me and my client up. right is right and wrong is wrong. read more
