Update: again, same BS. But this time different people. They are not professional at all. They are all bitching in their Armenian language thinking we don't know Armenian. They were talking amongst each other secretly saying how we always come late on purpose etc etc. I'm sorry, but as long as that door is open, we have the right to come in. I always get to the register before 10pm and check out before 10pm. If you guys need time to close the place up or wanna leave early then here's some advice: CLOSE YOUR DOORS AT 9:45pm and list on Yelp and Google that you close at 9:45. Until then you have no right to complain. People have work and stuff and sometimes have no choice but to come in last minute to grab last minute items. It's completely normal and they should not be made guilty for it. I don't think the GM is going to be ok with all of your bitching among yourselves or to the customers that they are there late. As long as the doors are open we have the right to come in and make our purchases before store closing. You guys can start cleaning after 10pm, not on OUR time! Grrr PS- also, talking behind people's back is considered discrimination. And managers should implement proper training to prevent potential liabilities and lawsuits. This is not right!! read more

I honestly come to this Dollar Tree almost every day or every other day -- it's my go-to spot for all the essentials. From hygiene products, toiletries, and cleaning supplies to little gardening items and random household stuff, they seriously have everything. The prices are amazing, the selection is wide, and it's super convenient since it's literally down the street from me. What really makes this location stand out though is the staff. Everyone here is genuinely friendly and helpful. We come in so often that they actually know us by name now which says a lot about the environment and the people working here. If you're in the area, I definitely recommend shopping at Dollar Tree on San Fernando Rd & Sonora Ave. Affordable, convenient, and great customer service -- can't beat that. read more

Went in today. The store was poorly stocked and resembled a 3rd world country vibe. The cashier had no idea what she was doing! Didn't ring up all of the items on the belt. We had to do 2 transactions. She double charged me for an item and the other item she didn't place in my bag and i didn't notice until i left the store. Called the store they are refunding me but i have to go in person which is ridiculous! Will never shop there again. Beyond annoying. Dollar tree itself is a hoax. You're not saving any money because they only have one cashier open and two people working at every location. Corporate/company wide issue. The lines are ALWAYS long. Cashier was rude. I purchased item $2:35. I mentioned to her that I was going to use quarter coins for parking meter. That was about 8:30. I gave her $20bill. She said she had no change. She opened drawer then closed it after she heard what I needed quarters for. She then said $20bill was too big she had not enough change. Later she called one staff to explain to me. She is Spanish speaker. That staff said something to her. She finally excepted the bill and had plenty of chance in drawer. read more

I am so so happy and thankful that the dollar tree is here this was previously a 99 cent store location it felt very refreshing there was items not at the other dollar tree near Colorado street so that was a welcome sight very big and they are still trying to fill in areas that have empty shelves but everything needed for the house is there already and it's nice that they even kept some of the 99 cent store layout I am so thankful a bargain store is here and the 3-5$ item section is also very nice I love to see the community flourish again and disabled and homeless people have access to affordable snacks and drinks and household items thank you so much ! read more

I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one who had an issue returning something with this one specific lady at the counter. She is giving people really hard time returning items and creating her own rules and wastes your time lecturing you about it, she is not aware of Dollar Tree return policy (and pretty much any merchandise store): "For in-store purchases: If you are not satisfied with merchandise purchased in one of our stores, please speak with a store associate. With the original receipt, items can be exchanged for another item, or a refund will be issued in the original form of payment. Without the original receipt, items can be exchanged at the current scanned price. Refunds and exchanges are not provided for gift cards or prepaid financial cards." You can return anything for any reason with receipt, regardless of condition if you are not satisfied and have a receipt and it's within a certain number of days. That's the standard at almost all major chains. I brought back an LED WiFi bulb and the LED wall tape because it didn't work for me and didn't do what it claimed to do. This lady, I think her name was Cathy, asked what's wrong with it and I was in a rush and didn't feel like explaining in detail exactly what was wrong with each item, so I just said "it's not working". She proceeded to first tell me that these are rarely returned in a judgy manner as if that would make me reconsider, then she went to get batteries and took her time trying to see if it's working or not, which is actually crazy. I told her that I'm in a rush and I don't have time for that so she started shaming me for how poorly I opened the boxes saying that now they can't resell them (which on its own is crazy. Imagine buying someone's return that someone used. Imagine not knowing that businesses account for damaged items too, and it's not your place to shame someone for it because guess what, I didn't think I would need to return these items because I needed then). So she puts the batteries in the wall tape, it turns on and she looks at me and says to me and to her co-worker "look it's working", as if its only function is to turn on. I said that the package and pictures on the box claims that it turns all these different colors, incl yellow, purple etc and they can stay on, but every mode it has the lights are blinking, and it's only 3 colors, only at the same time red blue green, so it's NOT working the way the package claims. She says that it has a remote as if that changes anything about what I said. Every mode is blinking and the only one that doesn't looks NOTHING like what's shown on the box. And the lightbulb doesn't connect to WiFi like it claims, it turns on and starts blinking after 10 seconds, the App is lagging and can't find the lightbulb, but I bet she saw that it turns on and assumed that it's also "working" and I'm lying when I didn't have to explain anything to her and go into any detail beyond "it's not working". She proceeded telling her coworker that I damaged the box, so they can't resell it, that I don't want exchange and that I say it's not working but it's "working", implying that I'm lying so they were thinking on their decision to return or not, which was crazy and not their place at all and completely against Dollar Tree return policy. I worked in retail for years too, different chains, and this was so unprofessional and ridiculous to put a customer through. She gave me my money back "this time" as if she did me a grand favor. She needs to check her ego big time, and learn Dollar tree policy instead of creating her own. Sucks because this is one of the better Dollar Trees around and previously everyone else was always really nice and helpful. read more

I want to beging with telling you Dt that ilike and love you guys but its not the same,since Edgar the manager that opened that store its not there anymore,he had a great customer service, always greeting,unswering and smiling to customers. Now the new people and the new managers are so so ugly rude. I have read about a 1000 times the return policy. Simple as with receip you can get your money back and wihtout, only exchange for same price items, not seasonal or used items. But when you get there with something to exchange,they make you feel humiliated asking for a receipt for an exchange in front of other customers. Come on Dt corporation do you want to end like the 99cnts stores,i dont think so. Im a loyal customer that if i give you the last 4 digists of my Cc you'll see that i have spend at Dt about 30,000 dlrs or more, Not a jk since 4 years ago. And i go to all cities not only glendale, but they are not all the same. Im very dissapointed and sad. You need to retraing the manager that trained those managers. The return policy that you the Dt corporation have its a great one. But those peoples have to be and know the difference betwen a thief and a loyal customer, because thats the way they make you feel like you are stilling, its sad.
