Poor customer service or maybe these employees are racists. Cashier with long hair acknowledged the Caucasian man in front of me. But when it came to ringing me up, no acknowledgment, proceeded to have a conversation with the Caucasian woman behind me. I had to ask what the total was bc it was cleared from the screen as I was grabbing for my wallet. Told the cashier to have a good day still no acknowledgment. Walked through the door same time as another employee was coming in, they were nice to hold open the door but again no eye contact just looked in a different direction. Service with a smile! Not only is this location on my way home from work it's in a nice big parking lot, so parking is a synch. I usually venture to the location on Stephanie, but it's always good to see what other stores have in stock. I'm a teacher so I'm always looking for pencils and fun goodies for my treasure chest. I scored and I found a great variety of beautiful spring items for my students!!! This location has the shopping hand carry baskets as you come in the door to your left. Spring and Easter/st. Patrick items are in the first couple rows to your left in the front. Check out registers are to the right. I found more pencils back on an isle on the left on the school / office supply isle. I like to grab some movie candy here, too. Can't beat the price. Isles are clean and well stocked. Joseph was my cashier extraordinaire and he is working hard and very polite. He greets his customers and serves them with a smile. I will be back often, I am sure. I recommend this location and Dollar Tree for so many reasons. You can grab a cart and easily spend a few hours cruising up and down the isles. They have almost everything...plus we all enjoy service with a smile. read more

Budget friendly shopping... Times and spending has really changed and so has the Dollar Tree Stores. Having many items for the home and personal care is found here thought the prices has changed for obvious reasons. Located in Green Valley which seemed to be part of Henderson but was still a bit of a drive that I found only since I was at Trader Joe's and it was right next door. On this day it was thundering so we dashed in quickly for a peek and got a couple of rain bonnet for our hair lol along with a few other items we surprisingly found was a happy for this impromptu visit. The selections are impressive though as you can find items for every room of the house including some balloons and party items was a messy store and we didn't feel like browsing any further as it wasn't clean and organized and the staff reflected the obvious feeling is quite sad. read more

Ridiculous that this is the condition of this store; I was stressed out and incredibly anxious the entire time because not only did I find it extremely difficult to navigate through the store, I couldn't find the items I was looking for because it was blocked. So little room to move that things are falling AROUND ME. Boxes stacked so high they're as tall as me. Running things over because the floor hasn't been cleaned of knocked over items (do you not have closing shift duties that tell you to clean the store?) You need to either hire more people, or find a more efficient way to stock your product before customers arrive. I've never been to a store, or even worked at one where they didn't have you come in early to handle things before business opens. I came in around 8:40am, so you can't blame it on it being too early either. Plenty of time to scan the floors and see how disgustingly appalling it is. You know it's bad when multiple other customers were also irritated and made comments about the condition of the store. Discount shopping in Las Vegas... Actually, this Dollar Tree is in Henderson...next to Trader Joe's! The free shared parking lot is big enough for all of the businesses... yay! So, since we were at Trader Joe's, I stopped inside Dollar Tree (really quickly) and took a look. This store is like its competitors, but maybe the quality of the goods is better here... Besides the usual kitchen items, stationary, hair accessories, cosmetics, cleaning supplies, toiletries, children's toys, beverages, snacks, and pet stuff, I found a C-cable for my Samsung Galaxy 8+! This is the first time I've ever seen one in a discount store! Whoa! An extra cable is a good thing! Note: Remember to bring your own shopping bag or else get charged 1 cent per bag. read more

This store is ran so poorly. There are boxes in isle way, additionally, I head the manager very loudly, who was in the next row over complaining to another customer how she is not anyone's mother and should not have to pick up after them (i.e. other customers), then when I got to the cashier, there was only one cashier working with a huge line. As I was patiently waiting, the manager, who I heard earlier complaining, come up to the already busy cashier telling her she is going on a break. This totally baffled me as there was a huge line growing. Needles to say, this location is being run into the ground. The shopping experience is not pleasant and the atmosphere is depressing. I don't blame any of the employees being unhappy working there. read more

Been to too many DTS located nearby airports and inner cities. Witnessed new stores destroyed within 60 days of opening. Henderson so happens to be a safe community and their three DTS stores are all model stores. This one is right nextdoor to Trader Joe's. It's a very good store. This visit was for chocolate snacks. Well organized and lots of neatly shelved candy inventory. In and out of this DTS in less than ten minutes. read more

We've all perused them and even if you don't 'need' something you actually, truly do! I'm always compelled in gandering, googling and finally the item(s) enter the shopping cart. First I start out with those hand baskets, by the third aisle in- it's too heavy & not large enough ha! Trade that hand basket in for the cart with wheels;) That's correct, I don't 'need' the item. However, one day I may just indeed need it and I will have it handy- viola! That problem will be solved in the near or not so near future. But instead of helping the one other employee that was there working the line, she let that employee's line get super long so that they could hand the long line over to the late employee. A dollar saved is a dollar earned. I have earned a nice pile of dollars shopping in the Green Valley Parkway at Sunset Road Dollar Tree. I have said in the past that money doesn't grow on trees. I would like to add that neither does time. And a minute saved is a minute earned. In addition to the Dollar Tree saving me money, it is a convenient retail shop that saves me time. It is part of a one stop that I combine with Trader Joe's, Green Valley Grocery, Mothership Coffee, the bank, and sometimes Subway. In a way it is one piece of the puzzle that makes Green Valley at Sunset a mini Supercenter for me. This is a relatively new Dollar Tree. By relatively I mean a couple of years new. If I were yelping this spot a few years ago, the business would be an Ace Hardware. Within the couple of years Dollar Tree has been open, I had supported it. As a matter of fact, a while back I posted a series of pictures (beyond the time frame to make it on this review). There are two things that remind me of the pre supercenter era. First is the concept of combining numerous stores and dining in a shopping center to create a one stop experience. Second, the circulars are posted on the outside windows. Going back to the late, 1990s before the Internet revolution, the majority of supermarkets had windows, they covered them with sale advertisements. Owing to the fact that dollar stores operate on razor thin profits, it would be easy to forgive them if the store was shabby and the cashiers somber. I had nothing to forgive considering that the store is clean and the employees have been friendly. Now owing to the fact that I appreciate razor thin markups, there shelves have earned my appreciation. Let me mention a few bargains that were only a $1. There is the large mug that I keep at work. Right above me is a light bulb that has saved a couple of dollars. In my kitchen cabinet sits a savings worth of cleaning supplies. I must write that you can save a lot on cleaning supplies at Dollar Tree. Recently I brought a can opener that has yet to fail. I even brought Vitamin B from Dollar Tree. From toys to pans and food to pet toys the store is covered with savings. I also appreciate razor thin time wasted. As mentioned earlier, Dollar Tree could save time. There are a sundry of products that are comparably priced to other retailers. Here are a few examples. Aim toothpaste is $1 here where it is 85 cents in Walmart. V05 shampoo and conditioner are currently on sale for 78 cents at Smith's where here they are $1. A final example is that flashcards are $1 here where they are as low as 48 cents at Walmart. Going back to the convenience, I save time and money. What I also like about Dollar Tree is that several of their products are name brand that are still active in the retail world. However, Dollar Tree does stock some bastard products that are unloved in the retail world. This includes Hastings chicken noodle soup, Shasta cola, and (something) Goose chips. In my travels here, I observed that the Uncle Ben's cheddar with broccoli rice that Walmart discontinued stocking is now on Dollar Tree's shelves. If there is a popular item that the majority retailers stopped carrying, I know to check out Dollar Tree so that I can load up on them before they are gone for good. Although money doesn't grow on trees it feels that it falls from this dollar tree when a dollar saved leads to a dollar earned. When I combine a few stops into one stop shopping at Green Valley Parkway and Sunset Road, a dollar saved is also time saved. How awesome is it to have a Dollar Tree just seconds from where I live now?! I shopped the one off Stephanie and Warm Springs a lot and now I have this one. I came in here right when they opened and loved it. I came back a couple of weeks later and loved it even more. Still has the cleanliness of a new store, and you could never tell it used to be an Ace Hardware. There are still a few gems that I find in my Stephanie and Warm Springs store that haven't made their way to this location yet, but I accredit that to it being fairly new. They'll get those same gems soon enough. The employees are always super friendly and great to talk to while checking out. You know they're a good location when I came in here last to buy my mom a temporary case for her iPad and walked out with $20 worth of stuff! Check it out if you're in the area. I really like this dollar tree and have come here many times. It's right next-door to Trader Joe's so I'm in this area all the time. I like that the store is pretty clean and well laid out for the most part. I'm always able to find office supplies, gift bags, and other little inexpensive household items here. There are also always a number of vegan items in the frozen section, and they always have frozen okra which I buy for my okra stew! The line is usually pretty quick and service is usually friendly. I think I like the dollar tree store more than the $.99 stores. Definitely will keep shopping here! read more

This is the worst Dollar store in the entire city! Super ride Hispanic manager refused to keep second cashier open and yelled at customers who did nothing but stand there waiting to pay! She literally wanted to close second cashier lame even though people were standing in line until the end of the store! One customer asked why she's not keeping that lane open and put down her merchandise, manager said she wouldn't care whether she buys it it not lol that's the worst behavior I've ever witnessed from an employee in a store. She said it's not her problem that people have to wait an hour and when client said she's leave and would not spend her money ever again at said store, the employee said she wouldn't care! You could do better Dollar Tree. I have been to this location a handful of times and each time I come back I am reminded why I don't stop here more often. I am a dollar store disciple but... this place will test your patience. The store itself isn't all that bad a lil bit disheveled at times but for the most part the layout is nice. I just wish they would hire more folks to work here. The shopping center and surrounding bring in a lot of shoppers. Why this place has a maximum of 2 people working at all times is beyond me. Each time I have visited here it's hurry up and wait well the lines creep along. This can be overbearing , especially if you are in a rush and a quick dollar store trip has turned into a doozy. Putting more than 2 people at the register would turn this place around and keeping the shelves stocked probably wouldn't hurt either. read more

I have to give a huge shout out to two of your employees today friday around 1:30pm. My 6 yr old daughter cut one of her fingers and one of your employees that was restocking in the stationary area heard us talking about it. I wish i knew his name. He told us he would get a bandaid for my daughter. He talked to another employee. I think her name is Maria. And she went and got us a bandaid. She made my daughter feel really good. This is a pretty good Dollar Tree location. They have balloons, like most other locations, for special occasions. The aisles were clean and well-stocked. I can tell that I liked it because I was only there for about 10-15 and I walked out with $10 worth of items. Just too easier to spend money there. Long lines and one really rude employee. I asked her to put all my items in the same bag and she refused. Said she would not put a wet item with my other items. I guess she likes wasting plastic bags? I told her it was fine, it was just a frozen item. She got an attitude, refused again, then rolled her eyes. The way they treat their older staff members is DEPLORABLE. I have been in the store several times and there are 2 cashiers, Jackie & Margaret. These are the nicest ladies, but the management, especially the manager Eric treats them horribly. I came into the store today and there were 2 people in line. Jackie was the cashier. There were 2 other workers on the floor. As the line got longer, the other workers went in the back and didn't come out! They left Jackie alone as they do all of the time! The line was mid way down the aisle. I went to the "office" door and knocked. The arrogant manager, Eric answers the door. He proceeded to tell me that he didn't do the schedule and they were in the middle of the shift change. I explained that it's the manager's responsibility to adjust as necessary to provide the best service to the customer. After about 10 minutes, the SAME workers who went back there and left Jackie all alone, came out laughing with cash drawers in hand and opening registers! So that means if I had said nothing, they never would have come out. This blatant abhorrent treatment of older workers at this location needs to be addressed and Eric needs to be reprimanded. I will take this to Civil Liberties, to EEOC (as this is clear age discrimination) and to the local news. Even as I left the store, he snidely said "you have a nice day". I would have given this store 4 or 5 stars BUT...Me and a friend are at the register having our items rung up and there is an employee, whom I later find out is the MANAGER using foul language. It's not like he is using it because he hurt himself and said, "Da*& it!" but he was telling off an employee saying he was "dragging A**". He used other not so kind words, but when he said "a**" I yelled out "Language" but it seemed to have no effect. Now I'm a big boy, I can be ok with that if necessary, BUT not when there are small children in the store. And especially he doesn't need to be so degrading to an employee. He seems to be a very unkind person, and there are other Dollar Tree stores in the area like up off Stephanie and Sunset, or the 99 cents store on Tropicana at Nellis. This is an older white guy with a super foul mouth. He shouldn't use it towards employees, in the area of children or ladies, and he certainly shouldn't be using these words when he represents Dollar Tree. What a disgrace. read more
