The Lyndhurst Dollar Tree is going down hill the past 6 months. Shelves are often not stocked. Other times it is messy with items on the floor or thrown everywhere. There is usually only one cashier and the check out line is long. The store never has coins, the cashiers always beg the customers for coins or to use a card. I asked to speak with the store manager but was told she doesn't like to be disturbed. I found her down one aisle but she barricaded herself in with boxes and I couldn't reach her. She is not doing a very good job considering all the problems going on. I gave 2 stars because the cashiers and other managers are friendly and seem to work hard. However, the short manager with blonde hair talks way too much and way too loudly. I hate when she's there. read more

Terrible. Only 2 registers open on a Saturday afternoon. I shopped for 30 mins and stood on line for 15 minutes before the register crashed and the manager comes over and takes the customer whose order crashed the register to a different line. However she never fixes the problem on our line so everyone on line is just waiting while the cashier apologizes. Next thing you know the manager has opened the line she took the customer to and is now ringing up all of the people from the back of the line who rushed over when she made her announcement. Meanwhile, we are still waiting there with the cashier apologizing for something that is not her fault. The poor girl in front of me was physically disabled and had to keep getting up and sitting down on her walker chair because she was so uncomfortable. I finally dumped my things Onto the belt of a closed register and left. Dollar tree increase their prices, but didn't spend any of that money on cashiers or customer service training. read more

I'm somewhat of a dollar store fiend and I love love love this dollar tree. It's my go to for a few things. Hallmark cards being one of them! They're always 2 for $1. They have a ton of snacks and lots of name brand chocolate. I like coming here before a movie! Haha. They always have really neat decorations for whatever holiday it is. Around this time they have a ton of 4th of July and graduation decor. They have some good cheap cleaning supplies. You can also find some kitchen gadgets here. My only complaints are the parking lot and the registers. The lot in front scares me, there's always cars flying in and out so I tend to park farther away, not a big deal. They usually only have one or two registers open during peak time which makes lines incredibly long. Other than that, you can beat the price for what you're getting here. read more

I do like this DOLLAR TREE more than the other ones I've been too, probably among one of the better ones, but today I was there and this crazy Dominican lady started scolding my toddler for touching the merchandise on the shelves. I go here because it is the local dollar store and in a convenient location. The store it's self has a wide variety and is great, I mean everything is a dollar.. it's wonderful. The staff however is so rude. I believe the lady at the counters name is Patty. She has no manners. To make a long story short.. Yesterday at the store (and this isn't the first time I've witnessed her do this) another check out counter opened up and the girl said "next online" the female in front of me went over and I followed. Patty went on and on how the girl in front of me was not next in line and the girl who was in line should say something. It was just uncalled for and rude. Very unprofessional. read more

This place is insane! At most Dollar stores, nothing is actually $1. Here it is. All of it. I've been twice. they have a really large selection of greeting cards (some special Holiday ones that look like you would pay $6 each on Etsy), name brand candy for $1, tons of office supplies,etc. I got a great silicone luggage tag (I paid almost $20 for one on Amazon last year), name brand zip-lock bags for sandwiches and snacks, some really sweet cat toys, Snoopy Valentine's chocolate (it costs a LOT more in ShopRite), Entemann's hot chocolate k-cups, sunflower seeds (for actual flowers, not to eat), key tags. transparent Scotch tape, butterscotch pudding snack packs, plant markers for my garden, DenTek (I paid almost $6 in the drug store for the last one I bought), some store brand OTC meds (just as good as the name brands and with the EXACT same ingredients), some small terra cotta planters (I have a cactus collection and my cat knocks them off the shelf constantly so I always need more of these, lol), a stack of movie candy (you know how much they charge for these at AMC???), and a bunch of other stuff. If I were having a Holiday party or making gift bags I would so hit this place up. They have everything you need. Their toy aisle has a lot of great Licensed toys so if you are having a kid's party, you can get a bunch of stuff for party favor bags. read more

I just went to this store and there's a huge line with one register open. There was a guy there who looked like the manager he called us over to the next register than walked away, no explanation no nothing. We kept asking the other employees where he went and no one had an answer! So we lost our spot in line and he disappears, this store has such horrible customer service. I ended up leaving my $40 transaction right on the register - never going there again! read more

I have been to this dollar tree multiple times in the past couple weeks and I am always impressed with their products, as well as their staff. The staff have been very friendly and calm even when the lines have gotten long. I will continue going to this location because it is by far the best Dollar Tree I have been at. read more

I swear the qualifications to work at this dollar tree must be that you have to be extremely rude to all customers!
