When you come to the many Dollar Tree Stores you will see the many sales adds for some of the many Items that you may not find in many other stores for products you see at the Dollar Tree you can't find at the regular grocery stores. The store that is located at the National City. The Dollar Tree located at National City is one that when you look at at the outside you see a larger store for the inside is much larger for the many Isles and the products they carry you may not see in regular store. The prices are on the low end you can find the many chips brands crackers and the snack cookies. For the parties your plan ing you can get balloons and streamers everything that you may need for the perfect party at the low cost for many customers do but many balloons for the birthdays they do have large balloons. The candy lovers the store has one of the largest isles that has many of the different brands ods of candy from the resses to the Goobers and the small jujubee candy . Dollar Tree has their own grocery Isles from the soups to the canned goods for the many stores don't carry what the dollar tree has in stock for sugar free drinks drinks they carry drink powders for the easy on the go trips . Dollar Tree is one store that is some of the best customer service they can help you order products to have them sent to the store or your home for pick up I was very surprised you can get different flavors of energy drinks or get the sauces you need they had run out ordered to the store for pick up . For the Dollar Tree being at National City Plaza you have a large parking lot and restaurants to eat at with a doughnut star at the end. The parking lot has a lot of shoppers if you come early the store does open early with the holidays they are getting Christmas Merchandise.. As a Yelp Elite Reviewer the Dollar Tree have been some of the best stores for the city of San Diego where you can get many Items at the lowest price to order ones have them delivered. Never had an issue, until I bought a few boxes of movie candy. They were all fine, except for the Butterfingers! They tasted like soap. My guess, from being in merchandising for 20 years, is that they had the candy and chemicals sitting together before stocking. When I went in to tell the manager to please check and possibly remove the other Butterfingers. She demanded a receipt, I didn't even ask for a refund! It was 1.25! My concern was other kids , like mine, were going to end up spitting it out or swallowing chemical contaminated food. The manager was rude, told me no refund and treated me like I was lying. Lost my business. Keep ya 1.25 if y'all need it that bad. But being a manager myself, I was saddened by the poor customer service. read more

I have been to this location quite a few times but on this latest arrival I do not remember being so big and so clean. The employees are super nice and friendly, there is a huge selection of floral arrangements. They had 2 tall very well put together area of flowers as well as flowers being in 2 other sections of the store. This Dollar Tree location looked extremely stalked with any and all crafts that you could possibly want as well as paper items (paper towels, paper plates, toilet paper etc) It is located off of the highway although kind of as zigzag to get around if you are coming from the South.Otherwise there is plenty of parking it's located in a fairly busy shopping center with planet fitness. read more

Lots of parking in front. It's a big store. Lots of people in & out. Workers are super nice & friendly. It's hit & miss here. Shelves can be messy. Cause of all the customers. They offer brand name products for superior bargainEverything here is only $1. I have purchased comet bathroom cleaner, lady/ men's speed stick, dawn dish liquid etc. They offer a outstanding greeting cards, wrapping paper and gift bag selection. You can purchase cards 2 for $1. What a steal. I purchased 6 Birthday and thank you cards for only $3 as well as 2 gift bags for $1 each. Exceptionally cute, unique gift bags with superior quality for only a dollar. I will never pay full price for gift wrapping accessories anymore. This is my 1st stop. This location is well stocked however it's incredibly messy and unorganized. Unfortunately, there's debris and trash in the most of the aisle. Most times the lines are really loooong but the cashiers do the best to move the lines. They are extremely understaffed here. The parking is average. read more

It was busy as usual in this dollar store today. Only 2 lanes were open and the manager & Enrique are always nice and has a positive energy. However, today, a cashier named Selena looked very stressed and annoyed. A boy that was in front of me was skipped and I asked if she can let him go first. She said no since she started scanning. I offered to pay for the boy but he declined. When it was time to pay, I realized that she did not bag my stuff. Never asked if I needed a bag or not. She seemed very annoyed, out of place and I did not appreciate her attitude. If you work in a customer service environment, learn to control yourself at work. Being a cashier might be stressful but that is not professional. Your negative energy will spread to those around you. If you are the manager, please consider speaking with her about professionalism. read more

I stopped in this store this evening at around 6:30 and there was only two people working . A store associate and a store lead. The line was sooooooo long it was down the kids aisle and wrapping around the gift bag section in the very back of the store . The cashier he was doing his best and the store lead would only open the drawer when she saw ppl complaining . His drawer was running out of money and change and at one point he had a hard time counting change and he had to recount .. the store was sooooooo messy and filthy there was open and eaten food everywhere the ice cream freezer was stuck open and there was a wet mop on the floor with water the place looks like it also might have rodents .. the store was poorly stocked and it looked like a hurricane went shopping . The manager needs to do a way better job with this store and they should be truly embarrassed read more

Everything's a dollar. What's there not to love? Seriously. I mean, some locations are better than others but -- everything's a dollar -- so if you don't like one location, go to another one and I'm sure you'll be ok. Unless you don't like stores where everything is $1. Who cares how friendly the people that work there are? Just grab all of the $1 items that you need, pay for them and leave the store! I love all these stores. Some are better and hold more stuff, but still each store has cool stuff for the working man's budget. Great place to find just about everything for a dollar. When I have a party or a picnic, I can find almost everything I need except alcohol. From snacks to plates, this is my place to go. Also they have a huge selection on cleaning supplies. From mops, chemicals, and air freshners. On my recent trip they had a box of one of my favorite cereals, Lucky Charms. Looks like I will have cereal for breakfast all week. Only knock on this location is they don't have a fresh food or grocery section. Plenty of parking and the employees are efficient and will usually greet you as you enter. read more

i am a regular at the Dollar Tree in Encinitas..this was my first time here...b/c it's close-ish to my work. It just didnt seem as awesome. I went for bobby pins...i searched through the small section of hair accessories...didn't find em there...roaming around I found a grip of bobby pins on an end cap...whatever..i got them...but not easily. sure...i'll be back...i like to save money. although Dollar Tree seems to be less ghetto than 99 cent only store...there are some things that are the same in both places, but i must say that i find myself still going to 99 cent only for some things... read more

never ever ever ever, will i come here again. they have 6 check out lines, but only 1 cashier was ringing up paying customers. there was a line of 17 people waiting to purchase their items from one line open although there were 4 visible employees talking to each other and standong around doing nothing!!! until they get new management or value their paying customers avoid this location. read more

Everybody already knows that you go to Dollar Tree to econo-shop, so that isn't the problem... But after multiple unsatisfactory incidents on separate occasions, I have to call you out now... Exhibit A: Come in, ask one employee for location of an item, I get an "I don't know"... ask another I still get an "I don't know"... inhale, exhale okay let it slide. Exhibit B: Come in another time, ask an employee (which happened to be the manager) for location of an item, I get "it's over there"... so I go "over there" and can't find it... I go back to the manager and said "i can't find it can you show me?"... The response, "oh just go over by the corner, it should be there" ... Really? Lazy or what I don't know? A couple of hoossaah's and I still let it pass... Exhibit C: Came in recently and all I asked for was safety pins, and now I get "I DON'T SPEAK ENGLISH" ... Huh what? I'm done!!! read more

This Dollar Tree doesn't carry a lot of brand names like some of the other Dollar Trees. It's also not in the best location, but I've never had a problem with the people there. It can be a little "ghetto" if you're not from the area, but it's really not the big of a deal. The variety of choices here just sucks. Wish there was another Dollar Tree closer. read more

I love dollar tree. I started shopping here when i moved out last year, and i still do after moving back home. I went to go look for some fold-able storage boxes for my little one coming in july. They have tons of great children's book, all for a dollar of course and they have these cute little bath puppets, which is incredibly awesome. First off let me say that if all their workers there were like Frank then I would be giving this 5 stars. The others are a bunch of kids that just do not care about their job in customer service. One of the kids Sergio was pretty much looking really high I don't know if he was but he was talking and looking like it and I was like wake up come on use your customer service skills and he told me that he doesn't work in customer service that he's just a cashier. I feel really sorry for whoever is employing these people and paying them to do such low quality job. The manager who was on duty is even worse than Sergio. Whole bunch of people looking at the balloons and she was right there doing the cashiering right next to the balloons and then Frank walked in to start his shift and notified us 5/8 people looking for balloons that I'm sorry we don't have any helium and I don't understand why the manager didn't let us know or Sergio the other cashier didn't let us know. Sergio just told me that there was a sign but nobody could see the sign and I told him that he needs to put it somewhere where everybody could see and that's when he told me that he's not in customer service that he's just a cashier so whoever is employing these kids should really look at this store and how much of a mess it is there is only two to three people working at a time sometimes only one person at a time so the lines get really massive it's really dirty there's no bathrooms and it's just a complete mess. I feel really sorry for Frank because whenever I go in there I always see him sweating and doing an up an amazing job taking care of other people's jobs because they can't do it and whoever this chick is who's the manager she needs to be fired because she does not care and right when Frank got in even though the lines were down the hall she went on break so obviously she doesn't care and Sergio was just so high he couldn't even talk Frank is the only one that's keeping this place alive and I hope whoever owns the store who is really running the store will realize that all the other employees suck ass need to be fired and get a whole bunch of people like Frank so that this business can actually be a thriving business. read more
