I got a hardcover oversized edition of the DC miniseries "Watchmen" listed for $40.00 for $7.00! Star Wars and Super Hero action figures for half the price than what Walmart sells them for. Excellent deals on cereals plus items like coffee (40 kcups box for just $9.99 on one brand). Great prices on items such as body wash and shampoos. Cool discounted electronics. I bought a floor turbo fan for $30.00. They sell some really nice rugs plus bath, bed & kitchen items, super cheap car items like windshield wipers and seat covers, yard items and more! The staff is friendly and you can see they work hard so treat them nice---they're helpful and accommodating (hope it stays that way). Every Thursday is when the new stock comes in. They give 15% off coupons on their rewards program. I take a trip there weekly to discover great bargains--especially on books, toys and food! I said few months ago but it's been almost 5 months, maybe six since the restrooms first became out of order and nothing has been done about them since they still today remain out of order. It's pretty sad you go in and knowing they have restrooms is good just in case you need 1 but thinking they must be fixed by now and 6 months later it seems like their just not going to repair them at all. I am disabled in a wheelchair and I rely on bathrooms everywhere I go and when I go in there hoping by now the restrooms will be back up and running and they're still not. I just don't go anymore. If I want to go to Ollie's I will go to Plymouth or Woonsocket. They have nice restrooms there and if they're ever out of order, they're back up and running within a few days. Not like Seekonk. Pretty disgusting if you ask me and could also be considered a health hazard there. Surprise the inspectors haven't been in there yet.

For example, EVOO is very cheap. We normally spend upwards of $15-$20 on EVOO at Stop & Shop, Whole Foods as well as other places and it's $5.99 here for the same volume...how?!? I know what you're thinking, the quality is trash, but you'd be wrong. We did some research on what we bought and whether there are any additives and it checks out. I can't say that this is the case for all items, but worth a try to save some mula. This store looks like it's well taken care of. It's clean, organized and the staff here are great. In addition to manufacturers coupons, you can stack store coupons or sale pricing too. Combine these savings with the bonus Saturday only $5 of $25 digital coupon in their app and you can score many household products from laundry supplies, household cleaning supplies, shampoo, body wash, and toothpaste for awesome prices. This dollar general is closest to my house and even though I only shop the weekly "household deals" the store is well stocked with many different types of items, is organized well, and the staff is pleasant.

This review will be my opinion on the Dollar General stores as a whole and not just a reflection on…read morethis location. I'm not a fan of the concept of "Dollar" General because in my opinion putting the word Dollar in your store name insinuates that it is in fact a "dollar store" and with Dollar General (as well as Family Dollar) this is simply not the case. In fact there are very few things that cost $1.00, if any. This location is convenient to my home and in a pinch I will stop in to grab something I need quick, but overall I try to avoid it. Not only are there few to no items that are $1.00 the items that are not $1.00 always seem to be overpriced in my opinion. The tape measure or dish towel that is $1.00 at Dollar Tree is of the exact same quality of the se items available at Dollar General, yet at Dollar General they are easily 3 to 5 times the price. When this specific location was a Benny's store a few years back I didn't mind paying a little extra to a local owned and family run business who was selling a decent quality product at a competitive price. This new model of faux dollar stores seems to be selling the same low quality items as the true dollar stores, except selling them for the prices of a higher quality item at a regular store. It's for this reason thst I do my best to avoid Dollar General (and Family Dollar) stores. Use your own judgement and decide for yourself, but as I said, when necessity strikes I will grab something at the Dollar General. Thanks for reading!!
