This is like a post-apocalyptic Dollar Tree. Lots of empty spaces, a questionable ceiling situation, and not an employee in sight. Thank goodness for the self-checkout, otherwise how would you pay? Guess they are running on the honesty system.

Some of the reader glasses I purchased from them. $1 each woohoo

If you're getting OLD-er & need reading glasses because your ophthalmologist broke your heart by telling you your prescription became stronger (heehee ok my heart has healed); then dollar stores are great!! They had hundreds of glasses to choose from for only dollar $1 each! I picked up nine (9) different styles/colors. They do have more masculine styles available too. So much cheaper than other non-dollar stores you can buy at. You can definitely have backups in different rooms at home, work, car, purses & etc. They are good about current expiration dates on items. I personally sterilized/cleaned everything. I have seen a spill or two here but for the most part it looks relatively organized & clean-ish w/ wide variety. I've been here twice. PS: I did noticed the attempted escaping of balloons on the ceiling & alas they are doomed. RIP balloons.

    Just horrid...

This place is filthy! This is without a doubt the most run-down, disgusting Dollar Tree that I have ever been to. The bathrooms were horrid. There appeared to be fecal matter on the wall in the men's bathroom. The main store area had dirty floors that looked like they hadn't been mopped in weeks. Items on the shelves were scattered as if a tornado ripped through the store. Balloons also filled the ceiling, which seemed to be coming apart. This is the kind of Dollar Tree I would envision following an apocalypse! I even caught a glimpse of the area behind the main store area where discarded cardboard boxes were stacked to the ceiling. I'd give this place one star, but the employees were nice. In particular, the cashier we had was very polite.

Now there are many stores that are specific to only selling "Dollar" merchandise. This one I have to say truly is worth every buck you spend. This is a large store will mass inventory all for a dollar or less. Large isle filled with all the great stuff people like from the floor to the top of the shelf. I frequent shop this location. It is not the neatest (meaning isles neat and organized). They don't seem to have anyone walk the floors to straighten the isles. Some isles are a complete mess due to mass stock of items. They also have long lines at the register. They could use an extra cashier especially when it is busy. However, I will not frown apon that as this store really has many great qualities.I am always greeted. The staff is super friendly and willing to help. There are many great options to choose from which is why I always return.

Iliana is one of the kindest, fairest people to help while you shop. My 5 yr old son absolutely loves going there for a free balloon and they keep the space clean and organized so it's safe and enjoyable. Oh! They also crank that AC way up so it feels lovely in there too!

Unfortunately, I have to be in a Wi-Fi area in order to use my phone like that. And they don't have Wi-Fi. I needed very specific things size wise. And you're not allowed to open packaging but when you pick up a lamp and you lightly shake it and you hear broken glass, but you're not allowed to open up the package and see what exactly broke why bother buying it at half price if you're not gonna be able to use it. This happened repeatedly also I was looking for a specific size bathroom medicine cabinet. Since much of the writing on the boxes didn't have dimensions, and I couldn't open the boxes because it's against the rules. I could find boxes that I think might've had the right sized item inside but I really couldn't take the gamble especially when I can't see if they're scratches or dents or a door ripped off, etc. I think the only thing I will come back here for is tile. If you're doing a craft project and you need a few pieces of tile or you're doing something special to cover a table top and you only need a few feet. This is the place to come for the tile. Unfortunately, the majority of the tile is not labeled and not priced and I hate having to run up to the counter every single time I find something to find out how much it's gonna cost. It's just ridiculous. I found a similar place, not too far away, where the people don't mind if you open the items to look at them and they will even go so far as to take a light fixture and wire it to a test area to show you that it works. So I think I will keep going to this other place instead.

If you are looking for kids items in particular they have a lot of clothes, toys, and baby items that won't break the bank and keep your tiny tot satisfied. We were asked if we had been to the warehouse before. Answering that we hadn't, it was explained that auction items are on the left, and items for sale are on the right. These are primarily items the university has replaced, or items students and staff have left behind. Rows of mismatched office desks to choose from. We settled on a smaller sized deck. It is older yet built to last. It is probably a good 20 years old, and possibly has another 20 years of life in it. The desk was only $10! For another $5, an all plastic chair with wheels was purchased to go with it. I was hoping to find a bookshelf as well. The bookshelves they had were either not in the style or condition I wanted. Along with office furniture, the ASU Surplus store side has computers, laptops, random office equipment and clothing. Surprisingly, they even had dozens of cleats that were new in the box. Unfortunately, they did not have cleats in the size/sport combinations that would work for any of my children. The auction side was a crazy mix of items. See photos. On the day of my visit, there was a mix of large machinery. Auctions are run through an online auction house. Checking out was easy. The guy who helped me was polite. He was very nice about assisting me in loading my purchase into my vehicle. Make sure to bring a credit or debit card. ASU Property Surplus does not accept cash. All sales are final. Items are as-is.
