Grocery Outlet is not a normal grocery store. It's a co-op where the central office opportunistically buys up close outs, over productions, etc, then offers their customers at local stores great prices. Because of this practice, they can offer their customers great prices, but it's always hit or miss. Like Forrest Gump's box of chocolates, "you never know what you're going to get." You may find a great price on a brand name item that you love, and, if so, buy it up right away because they likely won't be restocking once it's gone. They also offer their own store branded products. The ones I've tried have been good quality. Over the past two years I've noticed that they seem to be offering less variety, less customer service, and the shelves aren't as well stocked. Today's visit was especially disappointing. I went specifically to buy an item featured in their ad-- front page, no less-- and couldn't find any. When I asked each of the two people I found working there, no one knew what I was talking about. It's not that they had sold out; they just never had any and didn't even know they were supposed to. If this were a one time occurrence, I'd let it slide, but it's happened much too often lately. It seems to have become a pattern. I very much resent burning expensive gasoline for an advertised item, just to find that the store not only never had any stock, but the sparse staff didn't even know that it was advertised. Come on GO. You can do better.

The team is always kind, efficient, and welcoming, and I can honestly say I've never had a negative interaction there--which, for retail, is pretty impressive. When I arrived, I was blown away by how well-stocked, organized, and beautiful this location is--it looked like a commercial! Also i had to return a blow dryer brush because it literally spun my hair and got so badly tangled, i had to cut my hair to remove the blower brush from my head. I had the receipt, packaging and box and i was returning it. There was a few hairs on it so tangled and stuck, and the blond woman/ supervisor was a complete sour meat resting b face and said "well we can't sell it with the hair on it". Never in a million years would i think they would try to resell it after i had to cut it off my head, and i told them as soon as i approached the cash wrap. God help you if the blond is working the register area. The rest of the cashiers have always been kind.

This is a top-notch Target store located in the mall in Escondido, CA…read more Whenever we are in the area for the Del Mar Fair (aka the San Diego County Fair), or to see our friends in Fallbrook, or to see our friends in Ramon, we frequent this spot. It's a three-story store with entrances to the mall. And the cool escalators that let you take your cart up or down levels with a cart-moving lane on each side of each escalator. There are also elevators but that's less exciting. Check the signs to see which level you're going to need for the products you're looking for. The most recent stop we just bought three smaller Lego sets. My wife built one of them on our way to a brunch date. On the ground level there is a Starbucks open for snacks and drinks. This store has self-checkout, too, so checking out and paying for your stuff is a breeze. There are regular registers with friendly employees to help you out otherwise. Can't go wrong. Great deals and quick service. Check this Target out when you're in Escondido.

Be that as it may, there are plenty of gifts, ornaments, and cards to choose from here, with a friendly staff ready to assist you. I don't like how the register is smack dab in the middle, making for some crowded environs inside. And yes, some of the merchandise inside is pricy, but you do get what you pay for. You can now shop and purchase all of your items without ever being greeted by or even spoken to by a worker. Not good. Visited last night and there were 2 works, both on the floor stocking product. I walked by both and they did not say a word. When it was time to make my purchase, I walked to the counter...waited a couple of minutes to see if someone would offer to help....nothing. There are 2 self-checkout stations. Which is not always the easiest thing to figure out. The lack of customer service is just disappointing.
