I frequent this location every so often, and definitely have been much more recently due to the holidays. The parking can be a bit of a nightmare almost any day, because it's in a plaza with several other popular businesses, one of which is a Target in very close proximity. If you don't go first thing in the morning, it's going to be pretty busy and hard to get up close parking especially during holidays. The inside of the store is kept pretty organized considering how busy they get, which is a plus when trying to find things. The makeup area is one of the areas that can get a bit messy, and people are constantly opening and trying items, and leaving empty boxes. They finally started locking up some of the more popular brands which I'm glad about. However there are a few that they hardly ever lock up but should, like Pat McGrath. Ive found numerous empty boxes of their lipstick. They get new inventory pretty often, but as to be expected there is often limited sizing or numbers of pieces. I really enjoy the variety of products at this TJ Maxx location! I typically find items here that I cannot find at other nearby/North County locations. The store isn't always that organized, but it's worth it to dig through the products/departments. Parking is also a bit tight here as it's a busy plaza with small parking spaces, but it's quite easy to find parking somewhat nearby. Each time I've come into this location, I've been greeted by team members. TJMaxx has been selling outlet items for years. It's nothing new. Once in a while you do come across items that are worth the price and effort after rummaging through racks of basically plastic. I don't mind in general. It's fun! It's treasure hunting. I realized lately that most of us over consume and want to be more conscious about my shopping there. Today's experience proved that I did the right thing. Tried on some clothes at the dressing room and when I returned items that didn't work out, the young lady with heavy false lashes was so rude. Took my clothes and did not say a word. She acted like I was bothersome to be there. I don't know what happened to curtesy or social skills these days, but these people should not work in customer service if they can't bring themselves to be nice! read more

This is a nice TJMaxx location with lots of inventory. It was late when I stopped by on a Thursday evening and I only had less than 30 minutes to shop before the store closed. In the short amount of time, I did find some really great deals. I got some dress slacks and blouses for work at very reasonable prices. I'll have to come back to find more great deals! read more

TJ Maxx is one of my favorite spots to shop when I'm in the mood to browse and find hidden gems. I never know what I'm going to walk out with. The prices are great and affordable, and the store is usually well-organized. You do have to dig a bit, but that's part of the fun. I've always loved shopping at TJ Maxx locations and since I've moved closer to this area; I find myself at this location only when I need to update my decor or need new things for my home. This TJ Maxx location has different variations of products and clothing compared to the ones I'm used to shopping at, which means not much good products. I've recently came here to shop for Halloween decor, and let me tell you; they have a bunch of cute things for Halloween if you get there early enough! Lots of Kitchen items, mugs, statues, Halloween-themed snacks, and Halloween items for pets (which is a plus for me)! If I were to compare TJ Maxx to Marshalls, I'd rather go to Marshalls instead because of the quality of their items and finds there are more successful. The good thing is there's at least a lot of parking in this plaza since this TJ Maxx is in the center of Auto Parkway Plaza. Never too crowded, and the lines always go by fast. Accessibility: there are two accessible/handicap parking spots in front of the building two doors down, not in front of this store. The ramp to get on the sidewalk is also there or in front of a 30 minute parking spot on the left side ot the entrance (facing the building). The doors to enter TJMAXX are always propped open and then there are a second set of doors that are motion-activated so entering the store is never an issue. Inside they have smooth, tile and wood type floors, and it is well lit in here. They do have restrooms with one accessible/larger stall. Experience: I love TJMAXX. They have tons of clothes, a homegoods section, pet section, furniture section and more. TJMAXX is a place I go to relax honestly. You can find a lot of cute things really affordable here, and this building is in a huge shopping center with other clothing places, food, and beauty shops. Do not use this store. I purchased an item that was on clearance that all tags attached and had a receipt. This was a clearance item. The store was unable to determine the clearance price even though I had a receipt and the credit card I purchased it with. Since they say they can't find it, I don't get my money back. Even if I have now one closer, in Carmel Mountain, I am still loyal to this one as it appears more cozy and you get more the 'bazaar' experience with a little bit of more mess. Also, they don't always have the same things in each store, so here I usually get these items that I can recommed to be very good: -Shisheido creams. All types. Fantastic ones, not expired. You can get sun blockers for $16, you don't find those in that brand for less than 40. I pack several ones in each visit. -Dead sea salt and beauty products. Made in Israel, the real thing. You will smell good and feel soft for less than $6 each product. -Kitchen parafernalia. Fun, colorful, brand names (I saw several Le Creussete pots at ridiculous prices). -Argan oil products for your hair for less than $10 the bottle -Some gourmet food products, like Himalayan salt or exotic species with fancy packaging. Very high end, very cheap prices. -Perfumes! 3 times cheaper than in Europe, European brands not son well known here, so this is where I get your perfume, honey! Nothing to complain about this store. She called for help and told her coworker that my cousin was next but the girl gave her attitude and my cousin attitude then went straight to the white customers. This is probably the worst TJ Maxx I've been to, but at least I was still able to find something decent for myself. When I walked in, there's a shelf with EO organic products and I was excited to go check them out. There I saw a bottle of EO lotion opened and used, with dried lotion bits stuck on the dispenser pump. Then I went on to browse the clothing section, I saw a Michael Kors shirt that might fit me but later I discovered it got a stain that's quite obvious. Is this a thrift store?? Prices are decent but they're not dirt cheap. They do carry some brand names like Ralph Lauren and Michael Kors for a fraction of the price, but most of them were weird sizes and almost-ugly colors. Service was okay. It was hard to find assistance but at least the cash register line moved quite fast. And of course they forced you to browse one last time while you're standing in line with all the small goodies lined up on both sides. Yeah this store is just alright. read more

We saw the huge sign right off the Highway and I had to stop since we were making good time driving back from San Diego. Huge parking lot and other good shopping in the area. If there is no Runway, search for purple tags to find the real goods. Clearance Rack, tie dye Hudson skinnies $10, those will run you close to $300 retail, Marc Jacobs $400 dress $10, Phoebe Couture dress, retail almost $400, again $10! All fit like a charm, $30 wouldn't even pay the tax for one of those items retail, best stop EVER, sometimes the shopping gods are just on your side. read more

When I checked out for the items I bought, the cashier charged me for my water bottle even though it was half empty sitting in my cart next to my purse. I always find way more than I'm looking for when I go here. They have such cute clothes and home decor. Also their holiday selection is awesome. I just got full sized scented candles for $2.99 each and I think that's an unbeatable price. The store is fairly clean and the staff members have been so kind, offering to walk me to my car with extra bags, and when my friend's baby spilled some water on the ground, an associate quickly cleaned it up and asked us if she could help us find anything. I have been shopping at TJ MAXX escondido (and spending lots of money there) for years. I am also a T.J.Maxx rewards card holder. Today I went to the Escondido location to use my $10 reward certificate that I had uploaded into the T.J.Maxx app. While I was at the checkout the cashier informed me that there was a glitch in the system and the barcode was not working, so she called over her supervisor. Farazan K told me there was nothing he could do about it and I had to call customer service. I told him that I was not going to stand around on hold with customer service and couldn't he just discount the $10 or give some other type of discount, but he offered no solution and was rude about it at the same time. My wife started taking me into the Escondido TJ Maxx store and I have to say it's a very nice store. We bought several pieces of hard-sided luggage for a recent trip and their prices were nearly half off from what I found for the same brand on Amazon.com. My wife often buys clothes & shoes there, the service & pricing is exceptional. The store's manager is exceptionally nice & helpful which is why the 3/8/18 one-star review by L.S. is very surprising. In fact he goes out of his way to be friendly and helpful, he always has a smile on his face and makes it a point to remember returning customer and greet them. He gives far better service than is typical in a retail store so I have to wonder if that 3/8/18 tirade against him might have been racially motivated since he is black. So not only am I giving five stars to the store, I am giving five stars to the store's manager as well... he certainly deserves them. read more

Uh yea don't even bother coming here. The parking lot is horribly designed, super shady at night, and filled with cars driven by people who can't park and lots of door dings. So unless you want your car to get some dings along the way while you shop, avoid this place. Everything inside is also not cheaper as advertised. A lot of the items were actually more expensive than the price at outlet stores and the lack of service and long wait time in line is horrible. I can easily go shop for more selections at outlet stores and also receive better service than this garbage dump of a store. read more

My husband found the best Christmas gift for me (Shhhh, I'm not supposed to know even though I picked it out and saw him buy it) The coolest, biggest, most extreme Monopoly board ever! Hi, my name is Alysha and I have kind of created a collection of the different Monopoly boards. I have roughly 5 now and yes, we play them all though not as much as I'd like to play them. I freaking LOVE Monopoly. Anyways, I also found 2 pairs of boots as well. I would give this store ZERO stars if I could. I rarely write reviews but this was such a POOR customer experience that everyone needs to know to not frequent this TJ MAXX. They make arbitrary rules that are not posted or communicated anywhere in the store or in person. I came to this location to shop after visiting home goods in Escondido. I found $70 worth of items to buy and with 2 returns I had that I couldn't find the receipts for. The two return items were Rae Dunn and immediately the cashier said, " we cannot take any Rae Dunn items without a receipt." We asked for the manager and he was the most rude and condescending manger! Didn't even explain where the policy was listed when asked and all he kept saying was that it was companywide when I KNOW FOR A FACT IT ISNT because we have returned this brand at other locations. The manager's name was Brad S and He had the worst snotty attitude and wouldn't even come over to discuss the matter further with us. He didn't even look at the product to see it was simple two houseware plates. He just kept insisting that because it was the brand Rae Dunn so they wouldn't touch it! Like seriously this isn't a designer bag or $100+ item! No where is it listed in their store or online or even told in person when checking out with Rae Dunn that it cannot be returned without a receipt.I did not appreciate Brad's unwillingness to help and extremely rude attitude. Best X-mas shopping destination ever! This is the store you go to, if you don't want to spend a lot of money on gifts, but you want to look like you did. TJ Maxx caries loads of home accessories, bath products, gourmet candies that make excellent X-mas gifts. The selection features some quality name brands -- I was able to get some gourmet candies from Harry and David . They make a great, cheap, but expensive looking gift. I also bought a lovely and unique candle set that looks like it was pricey, but it was way affordable. Woohoo! Now I can spend all that money I saved on X-mas gifts for other people on myself. I have never had a problem in this store...I mean what problem could you have when shopping? You go in shop and leave right? Wrong this store apparently has a manager who thinks it's ok to harass customers. Earnest the store manager harassed and tried to intimidate me while making a simple return. He quote "wanted to educate me" because an item I had bought in that very store was at one time online merchandise (which apparently can not be resold in stores). Since I had the receipt and in fact had bought the item in that very store I had to ask him what his point was to lecture me when I had done nothing wrong. He then continued to tell me again and again that he likes to "educate" his customers and told me I need to start paying attention to tags when I'm shopping and be aware of online merchandise on the store floor. I informed him that is not my job that it's his and his staffs job. He argued and said that his other customers enjoy this information. I explore anyone else who has an interaction/altercation with him to contact cooperate. He is not right and quite frankly disturbing. He is clearly seeking out interactions with people in order to make him self feel powerful. As a woman I felt unsafe and disturbed by the whole incident. read more

This has to be one of the better discount stores out there that carry name brands, but much smaller in comparison. The aisles in the women's clothing area were a bit cramped.. there was barely enough room for the shopping cart! But at least all the clothes were properly organized by size and style, and the dressing rooms were surprisingly clean. There were some good deals too. I bought an oversized women's briefcase for $25 and a pencil skirt for $17 (originally $50) for an upcoming business event. I'd definitely come back to do some gift shopping. I like this place for dog toys and beds. I run a dog daycare and we are always in need ot mats, toys, bones, etc... This place is clean and organized and I love being able to get dog toys as cheap as 2.99. Ross and Marshalls have a decent selection too, but I always seem to find something good at a good value here...and if they don't have anything that day, it's easy to see as they do keep things pretty well maintained. read more
