This is a top-notch Target store located in the mall in Escondido, CA. Whenever we are in the area for the Del Mar Fair (aka the San Diego County Fair), or to see our friends in Fallbrook, or to see our friends in Ramon, we frequent this spot. It's a three-story store with entrances to the mall. And the cool escalators that let you take your cart up or down levels with a cart-moving lane on each side of each escalator. There are also elevators but that's less exciting. Check the signs to see which level you're going to need for the products you're looking for. The most recent stop we just bought three smaller Lego sets. My wife built one of them on our way to a brunch date. On the ground level there is a Starbucks open for snacks and drinks. This store has self-checkout, too, so checking out and paying for your stuff is a breeze. There are regular registers with friendly employees to help you out otherwise. Can't go wrong. Great deals and quick service. Check this Target out when you're in Escondido. read more

It was super busy and the lines were pretty long but the staff was still chipper and helpful and the store was very clean and we'll stocked. It is good to see the malls picking up and filled again and I believe Target being there as an anchor store really helps. Conveniently located at the mall is probably the biggest perk to this target otherwise it's just like most other targets you can go to. 3 levels and things are mostly organized, a lot of the time I find I can't find what I'm looking for with ease. I thought the convenience of multiple entrances and registers would make this better but 90% of the time the 2nd floor registers are always vacant. I love this Target (once you get used to the layout)! If I need eggs and milk, holiday supplies and gifts or something for the patio, this is the quick go to place. It's quick in and quick out. I have never run into a long check out line. And I have met super nice employees, they alwys point me in the right direction and sometimes walk me to the thing I need. Are eggs less expensive elsewhere, probly but this is close, quick and has great staff and I can get electronics or a last minute birthday gift too. The prices are very high compared to the competitors- Amazon, Walmart etc. I shopped here as I have a gift card. Target even stopped price matching. I don't understand why Target store prices on some items are even higher than their own website. The new CEO wants to improve customer experience but start with competitive pricing then the rest is easy to move on. Lines are crazy for holiday shopping. Waite din line to check out. Get up the cashier and a supervisor walks up and says "Sorry, we're closing this register. You need to get in another line." A Target store with three floors - very unusual! It takes a little bit to learn to navigate the store, but what you find is a store that is cleaner and better organized than many of the other Targets' I have shopped in multiple states. It also seems that this store has a larger assortment than others. Inside, this Target is two or three floors so they have both elevators and escalators. It is brightly lit inside and they have restrooms on the bottom floor, possibly all floors. This is the Target located at Westfield North County. I went to a different target earlier and needed to make a return. I decided to try a different location to see if the availability of sizes were different here. This Target is 3 stories! It connects directly to the mall if you want to do more shopping afterward. I got lucky at this location they had more items in my size and more color options. I even scored some items on clearance. The guest services cashier was super friendly and nice. I had two small items to exchange for a full basket. She was very patient. This is a great location. It's huge and has a lot more selection. read more

I've been in countless Target stores throughout my adult life, but never have I seen a multiple-level store like this Target in the Westfield Shopping Center, Escondido, California. This store is huge, well-stocked, has amiable staff and is extremely clean. Anyone living and shopping in this Target is quite lucky. If we had anything like this in Las Vegas, I might consider ending my relationship with Walmart; Nah, just kidding. I would, however, do more non-food shopping at a Target store like this. This Target sometimes has the best hidden gems items and products you might not find elsewhere, but when you're not looking, this place would have it right in front of your eyes. I remember going to 5-6 different Targets from Southeast to Southwest of San Diego and found nothing, then made a call to this one they said Yes, then I had to rush myself there due to hours closure, at least they were nice to always had it on hold for me either at electronic or guest services. To be honest, the place located around a shopping mall, noone would even look for it, because they were too busy shopping. You will have the whole store for yourself without fighting someone for a specific item. Plus the place is pretty big, you got 3 levels of shopping to go thru if you want to spend time here. So enough with the good stories, lately I had been experiencing some unpleasant stuffs here, so I made the call regarding an item like usual, then they would hold it under my name at customer service desk, I came to pick it up and not ready to pay yet as I wanted to go back upstair and check out more stuffs, it was nice that they let me take the item with me then return it when I'm ready to pay, in that case I found another toy and spend more money, everyone's happy right? Well, I was in a hurry that day heading back to an event at 7 pm, it's already 5:30 PM and I am ready to checkout. I thought it would be faster if I go back to finalize it at guests service, the same girl who handed me the item earlier, she seems nice and knew what she doing, and I was wrong I guess. If I knew then What I knew now, I would have gone to self checkouts. Anyway long story short, I used the Target app as I had some offers and gift cards so I can save right? The total after everything came out to $94.79. I gave her $100 cash and told her I wanted to pay $90 in cash and $4.79 on my card. She didn't pay attention and without telling me that she took $100 bill but didn't subtract that off my total, making me swiping the card and got charged for the full amount, I asked her why, and she said she was too busy checking for counterfeit bill, ok but you forgot to tell me that. And she didn't know how to reverse the charge either, so she had to radio her supervisor to come, then I had to spend time explain to the guy on the maths the way I wanted it to work, then they were having problems adding my savings and gift cards back, it was just too frustrating and I was in a hurry, I wish next time they could handle the situation better, nothing to against them, but maybe they need to do some retraining for their employees, because I want to shop here again read more

When you need something quick at a reasonable price, make this place your target. His store had everything and anything you need in one spot. There are escalators and elevators. Sometimes they work, sometimes they don't. I love that the AC is always on full blast. I tend to buy cards or presents here as toys are so cheap! I'm downgrade the store based on the terrible customer service I received at the starbucks there. I like this Target, but I'll never go to this starbucks again. Barely a greeting. I ordered a kids hot chocolate, a cake pop, one chocolate brownie, and a half decaf coffee. As I'm ordering, she yells over her shoulder to the barista, 'do we have any decaf'?...and she was totally sidetracked. I paid and walked away. As I'm waiting for the coffee, my kids' hot chocolate comes up, I'm handed the baked goods, my friend's drink was made (and they got her name wrong)...and I'm still waiting for my decaf. I understand it will take longer because who orders a decaf besides me at 10am...and I'm still waiting. Finally, I asked the barista for it and she says..'that will take a minute, it's a pour-over'...(whatever that means). Finally, it comes up and I doubt it was half caffeine. I'm really sensitive to caffeine and I'm totally racing now. Plus, I looked at my recipe afterwards and I was never charged for it. I sort of feeling guilty having asked the barista for one BUT it just goes to show that the cashier was totally distracted by asking if they had any decaf coffee. Lots of rules at this store. It's probably a sign of the times. I bought 10 plastic shoe boxes and the poor clerk had to pull them apart one-by-one to scan them. She had a bit of arthritis and it was difficult for her. She said she "had" to do it that way instead of scanning 1 box 10 times. Also, I didn't wait properly and she couldn't take my gift card because I scanned my credit card already. Which used to be the way it is done here. She said she was still scraping off the code? Ok so I called this target this yesterday around noon. I was calling to look for a specific toy that was on clearance in my area at about 7 different target locations. Additionally it was on clearance at another 15-20 locations ranging from Oregon to Florida. So when I called the location and spoke to the employee who put the two toy items on hold for me, I was reassured that guest services would honor the clearance price and price match the other Target locations. Fast forward to 7 hours later when my sister went to Target to pick them up. She was told by the "front end manager" Elgine that they would not be price matching the items. I even provided a copy of a receipt that a friend send me to show I wasn't crazy or making it up. Well then Elgine starts to explain every reason why they won't price match and goes into how online is different so they can't price match blah blah blah. I explained to Elgine that I've worked retail for years and that this was very poor customer service--being told two different things and then him not honoring the price match. In the end he was just making excuses and not really justifying why besides he wasn't going to do it and I had no other option than to pay full price. I asked for his manager and for the store manager but because the store manager is out on vacation I won't be able to contact her. And then his manager was out so I couldn't talk to him. Additionally they have no direct contact besides just calling the store to talk to the person directly. This all just sounded really bad as far as customer service and communication goes. So I will be following up with the matter and escalating to the store manager and corporate. I get online and in store can be different inventory but I was requesting a price match from a different Target store location. And after being told by multiple Target employees that if I could locate the item the location could price match, as well as by the employee who placed the items on hold, well I'm really frustrated. My 3 years old son and I stopped by this store first time. My first impression was good as the store is clean, we enjoyed the empty rows early in the morning. We went to the toys isle and oh my a super rude employee told my son who's 3 years old not to step on the shelf reaching for the toy, she was so angry that it surprised me. My son is less than 30 lbs and he's obviously stepped on the shelf for 3 seconds to get the toys. Got a delivery from the drive up. The online ordering went smoothly. I followed the directions but did not realize there were dedicated parking spaces for pick up. I'm new to this Covid stuff but getting better. I sat in front of the store in my car while trying to get the associates (2) attention by waving. neither the dude getting carts and the gal with my bag would look in my direction. I got up with the two packages I wanted to price match hopefully. Placed back so I could think about it. Walk out of the aisle and here comes security. Walks right down the same aisle I was just in. Pretend to fix something, I walked on the next aisle security comes down that aisle and pretends to fix something. At first I thought it was weird to have a Target open up at the NCF, but it actually is a clever idea. It gives a second option besides the "W Valley Pkwy Target" when in Southern Esco which is convenient as well as an opportunity to hit up other stores at the mall if needed. This Target is located near center-east side of the mall! The parking in front is plentiful, but can be packed because it is in the front of the mall. There are 3 different entrances: The front outside, and then the first and second floor from inside the mall. Cashiers are located on the first and second floor. There's an escalator here for the three level Target and the product selection here is great. I came by today seeking a curling wand and I left with that item plus plenty more (hair products: "CHI" & "Toni and Guy", and a ton of makeup..variety of brands). I was assisted by *Brandi* from the beauty concierge and she was knowledgeable and gave wonderful service. Her colleague even grabbed me a basket which was sweet. This is one of those crazy multi-level Targets like Mission Valley or Irvine Spectrum. This is 3 floors, and you almost have to memorize where everything is in the store. Food 1st floor, clothing 2nd, toys & electronics 3rd. The parking can be a huge problem, especially on weekends. There are 2 main checkout areas, bottom level faces out to the parking lot, and the 2nd level faces the inside of the mall. There is no longer a staircase outside in the mall, so plan accordingly. It is a great option for shopping early or late hours outside the normal mall open times. This store opening hasn't made the Valley Parkway Target any less busy, so it must be a new crop of customers shopping here. Went to get a frozen turkey, and there were of course none available on the sales floor. I waylaid a passing employee, and she was nice enough to spend 10 min finding me one. Make sure that you sign up for Cartwheel, Target's customizable coupon app. I saved an extra 10% off the turkey, plus used a $5 giftcard and got 5% off for using Target Redcard. Here it is. I have now been shopping at this Target for over a year. I feel torn about scoring it. On the one hand, I LOVE how big it is and how I ALWAYS find killer deals on the clearance racks. I means some seriously great deals. But. of course, I also spend a bunch of money on not so good deals, too... I have a little shopping problem. BUT, what I HATE about this Target is that because they are located in a mall, they have higher than usual rent and therefore, they pass that cost on to the customers in higher prices than at other Targets. Now I get that Targets of different regions have different prices sometimes and they take markdowns at different times, so something might be 70% off in San Bernardino, but only 30% off at this store, but they actually up their REGULAR prices. Here is an example. A Toy PIXAR car may by $3.78 at the Target ONE MILE AWAY on Auto Center Dr and here it will be $4.23. I know we're talking pennies here, but EVERYTHING at this store is like this and it's annoying. It makes me want to buy it there, then return it at the cheap Target and re-buy it. This review is based on the grocery section at this location only. The management of the grocery department is lacking. Items like milk, or sour cream are often still on the shelves days after their "best by" dates, and they are often out of stock on the same item for months at a time. Drastic improvement can be made to the attention to detail in this section. This aside, the team members are ALWAYS friendly and if I ever pass an employee, I am greeted and asked if they can be of assistance each time. read more

But that does NOT give anyone a pass to mistreat a customer or make anyone feel any less than anyone else. I went in to pick up some protein and lemons stood in Litzy's lane WHILE HER LIGHT WAS ON mind you.. and she was checking out a friend of hers. I figured it's her friend because she starts giggling as soon as she approaches the counter and she calls for an associate over .. Sydney to help her use her RED card. In the middle of that action Litzys SEES me standing in her lane well before she decided to turn her light off lol. Then she looks at me and says "I'm closed but you can go to another lane." I'm like what? Lol. I asked her.. "you know I was standing in line before you turned your light off right?" She's says yes she knows but.. My wife and I came on Wednesday, 1/9/2019 to this location , we were going to buy a fisher price kick & play piano gym and other kids items arround 16:45hrs , we had "the manager" Elfin "helping us" on the cash register, then when my wife asked about a different price that was posted on Target online on the piano gym and showed Elfin "the manager", he told us we needed to go downstairs to another department to match price, I rejected to go downstairs so I told my wife we should leave and decided we didn't want to purchase it anymore because Target doesn't honor its prices; we started walking out and Elfin "the manager" told us he actually don't have to honor any price Target shows on internet mentioning his general manager gets upset with him if he does it. I ask Elfin "the manager" to speak with a manager, he answered "I am The Manager" so I asked for the general manager, he said with an attitude "He left already". I recommend this General manager to train his managers more appropriately on customer service and to Target to honor it's prices, my humble opinion. No more of my business to this stores because they don't value us as customers. read more
