I had to come on here to rave about this dollar tree. I don't usually go to dollar tree but this was near the restaurant I went to that night. Probably one of the biggest dollar trees I have ever been to and it was very clean inside. My favorite aisle was the sock section ($1.50 each pair of socks) because there's such a variety of them which make great gifts! They also have so many unique things if you are a teacher (my sister bought a pointer) and great gag gifts. I can literally spend hours looking at the different socks and all the cool items here. I'd definitely come back if I were in the area! Lots of parking since it shares a plaza with neighboring shops and restaurants. read more

I am glad that the plaza across from the dead Puente Hills Mall has a wide variety of businesses and restaurants, but because of this and the limitation of space (and also how compact the parking lines are), the parking lot can get quite fisted, especially if you go at a very high traffic time. Outside of that, this is a decently sized, probably medium Dollar Tree. There was a shopping cart near the cashier with close to expiry date discounted snacks, which is neat. There's a decent Halloween selection, and a slowly growing Christmas section too. It's a bit disorganized and I think that largely has to do with staffing. There was ONE very sweet and kind girl working the cashier, also inflating the balloons, and then there's this lady that all she did was clear her till, remind the other worker about the balloons and then completely DIPPED. Support your coworkers lady! There was a growing line where we were at and we were helped, but this could have been disastrous on a busier day. read more

Place is pretty typical with a lot of the usual discount items that you would find from toys, cards, home goods, stationery, and more. Pretty busy with customers inside and the checkout line was busy too. Staff were doing their job and helpful with questions. Plaza is very busy with lots of other stores so parking can be a challenge. Also parking spaces here are very tight so you will need to park between the lines carefully and watch out for other cars. read more

I went to five different Dollar trees and then I'm had shampoo. They all have plenty of conditioner, but no shampoo. The buyers are not doing their job. But I synced out this door because it was so much messier and more disorganized than the other stores this store did not have anything front face did not have anything organized. This Dollar Tree location has been here for as long as I can remember, decades. Many storefronts in this strip mall have changed, but Dollar Tree and a few others have remained steadfast. There are normally parking in front of the store and it is easy to find what you need, as all Dollar Tree locations. It is especially convenient to shop for seasonal decorations, that are very useful and one does not need to spend a lot of money for a holiday. I stopped by the other day, looking for something specific, but they had run out of stock so I did not purchase anything. There were many shoppers in the store and a few lined up. Usually have a good experience here but on two separate occasions, not as good. First bad experience, I was returning packs of defective batteries, but was told by the female cashier that they don't take open items. How was I supposed to use the battery and find out it was defective without first opening it? Second bad experience, I was followed everywhere around the store like I was a criminal who was going steal something. WTH! Why would I steal anything from here? I can afford to buy everything I own. If I could give zero stars, I would. Walked in today for some art supplies. Went to the register and cashier Selena was walking away from her register. No biggie there was another lady in a different register. We asked the other lady ( didn't catch her name) on register 2 ( I think ) if she was open and she did NOT speak pointing and making gestures to go to the next row of registers. No lights were on so we asked if number 3 or 4 register and the short light skin chubby cashier completely ignored us. Then Selena gets to the register and states not that one it's this one, to which I responded 'sorry about that we asked but your colleague did not respond just made gestures.' She stared at us blankly. Now, it's before 9:30 am and these ladies are already in a pissy mood? Why? I work customer service as well so I try to give people grace but their behavior was not acceptable. To top it off, my spouse didn't hear the total and he asked what was it -Selena was mute with a blank stare so I jumped in and said the total I thought I heard . She didn't bother to confirm. Ladies, seriously meditate, drink some coffee, or eat before working the registers. I'm not asking for friendly banter but I do expect decent customer service. I don't expect to be directed by hand gestures and blank stares. It's not that difficult to state 'pls wait for register 3'. The short chubby light skin lady rang someone else up right after us and then completely ignored the next customer ! She was too busy writing stuff . I rarely leave negative reviews but this experience really annoyed me. Do better. Don't think dollar tree cares , cause look at the reviews. But do better and your day will be better. read more

I used to go to the 99 cents only store East of this store. this store is very nice. They even carry other retail store gift cards. they have a nice freezer section that is being prepped to stock. Mtn Dew Kickstart cold is $1.25. 12 ounce Rockstar is $1.25. Nice cellphone accessory section. it's a very nice substitute for the 99 cents only store that was near Nogales on Colima. read more

Been shopping here for years like other reviewers have. Let me tell you it has changed completely thanks to Maria. She is on a power trip. Making guests feel unwelcome and making up bizarre rules. She'll stalk guests on the sales floor and tell them not to pick up the merchandise. Corporate please listen to your customers feedback, fire this lady as she ruins the customer experience. This dollar tree is good, sometimes it could be a little messy or disorganized but that's probably due to customers shopping and just moving the items around. I also hardly see workers on the floor only at the registers, so that could also be why it isn't maintained. For a dollar tree they have a pretty good selection I have gone to other locations that have more but this one is just as good. hello.... dollar tree store at puente hills.... i have been a customer now for over 15 years. so far there is one associate miguel freight manager that stands out so far the best. with his customer service, selection, and values. i mean the young guy dose it all. he being good energy to this location his outstanding work speaks for him self...and today i hear of bad news at my store. associate miguel has left the store ....and know its not the same. who ever is managing the store now is not doing there job. all the associates do what they want. the store is all a mess. the shelves have no little to no merchandise. i just hope the associate miguel comes back to this store. before the store goes to hell...... read more

Walked in to get my regular Xmas wrapping - enjoyed my visit - until I got in line and realized I left my wallet.... Ugh I was so annoyed with myself. But I had asked RAY the Manager if he would kindly watch my cart with all my stuff while I drove home to get my wallet - he replied sure park your cart right here. Upon my exit I realized I had my checkbook - you have no idea how relieved I was. But I asked RAY if they took checks and he replied of course we do! Come over here I can help you. The service is very bad and should improve. There is this lady called Maria b and she is negative. There was this lady that was just looking at balloons to buy and what the lady didn't know is that she couldn't touch the balloons and while she was touching and choosing which ones to buy Maria b came and told her to not be touching those balloons in a very mean voice. Some outlets attract people like sheep this one attracts people who are cheap. I love the dollar tree store and this one in particular. The store was well-organized, plenty of stock, the service was decent. Its proximity to the 60fwy and spot in the plaza make it a great place to shop. They had many of the same items most stores had and some uniqueness. Everything you would except in a dollar tree store but this one also had 1 dollar brooms, 1 dollar toothbrushes and a gift bag with an african-american family next the the usa bag. They had the plastic green cups for st pattys day and stickers. I enjoyed all the dollar items in the kids section from toys to gadgets, to coloring books and reading books. I purchase some grocery items at time too. This store was rather comfortable and I ended being here longer than I shoud be. I left with only a couple of bags but the awesome party favors I saw are in mind for my next visit. read more

Dollar Tree I know many things in here cost about a dollar but when you walk in and see a mess it's really hard to want to buy from this place when it's just all frazzled. I recently been here a few times to get a few things and the line is always long!!! I can see why so many people do get frustrated in these long lines when there is only one register open and ten people waiting! Yes people have lives and being in a line for this long is just too crazy. Please up your game or you'll be left behind. If you notice Daiso a Japanese discount store you can see that they have more than one cash register open. And they just overall seem very clean and organized. Terrible store. Just walked out of there right now. Always long lines and understaffed. Why only one checker all the time???? I get in line. Long, okay I wait my time. The second checker opens up. There's a couple of people in front of me who go to the other checker when she's calling out to them. I'm trying to be polite and not cut in front of anyone because they were already waiting before me in that long line in the first checkers line. I'm the last one in the first checker line and shes helping one other person in front of me. I am thinking the first checker is going to ring me, I put my stuff on the counter and she says "I'm closed." The second checker even tells the people in back of me to go to her line because the first checker is closing. I look to the second checker's line, it's already long. Doesn't even try to help me at all or to help me go to the second checker to have my stuff checked out real quick, I had 3 items. I just shoved my cart at the cash register and left my items there. I get that you want to leave but geez I wasn't even being a hassle just help me because I'm the customer, that's your job. The line to check out is hit or miss, but it doesn't matter because you will find what you need. We come here for party supplies, utensils, occasion cards, and balloons filled with helium. My 6 year old son needed to pee really bad, one employee said let me ask my manager. When my husband asked again the manager said they were not working. The first employee we asked stumbled through an answer of ..oh ya there not working. My husband then asked him where do you guys go...guy said uhhh we don't go. So let me get this straight. The employees do not have a working restroom (which is a requirement by law) and customers can just pee themselves. I see this alot lately with understaffed places. They are either lying, don't want to keep their restrooms clean so they don't open them, or the employers don't care about their employees or customers. read more

Grab your skis! All downhill from here. I used to love this store. I bought balloons for my daughter's graduation, son's graduation, and nephew's graduation. They have the best greeting card selection for a dollar that you can ask for. This time, The line was 15 people long. Store looked like a tornado hit it. When the other employee left, our checker walked over and checked their bag at the door. How embarrassing! I asked the checker if someone had called in sick. They said it's always like this during the holidays! Eeeks! Looks like a stressful place to work. No trust and not enough employees! This did not happen today. Honestly, I can find things I need here for either work or for miscellaneous items. The last, most recently, was for my mom's birthday. I was in need of balloons and I knew that they have the best prices here. Of course, it's the DOLLAR TREE peeps...so their balloons are only a BUCK! I bought four and they were all so cute. Not only for the ballons, that I come here; but I come for small seasonal items when I'm working. Went there on Valentine's Day (yea....) :( Actually to get some necissities for home, I did have a hard time finding some items that I'm use to seeing an abundance of (ie socks, make up, etc), but other than that, for being in that area (it gets packed w/people), it was actually pretty decent, maybe it was because it was Valentines, but then again I've gone to the one in Monterey Park, there's usually a ton of people buying out the Balloons/Valentine stuff, they did look like they got ransacked w/the Valentine items there though...., but yea it wasn't crowded, and was able to walk around w/out having people allover the place & making it appear like your in their way to get the same stuff you get...(you get it), it was a nice shopping experience at this Dollar tree thats all I'm going to say....parking wasn't too bad too. read more

Parking is OK here. Not a very busy location, so you can find a spot nearby. It's a typical Dollar Tree store. A lot of variety, cheap quality, and good for those on a tight budget. This location can be pretty messy, and I've yet to see this place well kept. I usually go here for something I need with out the quality I prefer. I don't usually have any interaction with the associates here. It's easy to find what you need and only have to talk to an associate when you pay. Bring your reusable grocery bags here! This Dollar Tree is seriously disgusting. The floors are filthy; it looks like they haven't been vacuumed in months. There are kids running around everywhere, merchandise all over the floor, and the food area has some weird smell coming from it. I only came here to buy Christmas wrapping paper. I was in the area and decided to stop by, otherwise I would've just gone to the one by my house, which is completely immaculate by comparison. The lady behind me in line was on the phone telling whoever she was talking to that she's had a cold for 3 weeks and hasn't been able to shake her cough...then proceeds to start coughing in my direction without covering her mouth! Seriously, wtf?!? I know this has nothing to do with the store but it helps paint a picture of the type of people that you'll find there. For anyone who hates children and want some peace and quite while shopping at a dollar tree, then this is the place for you! For your shopping pleasure, an older "manager" named "Hang" will most definitely make it her life's mission to drive out all customers with children. We, me and my 2 year old, stopped by at 7:55pm on a Saturday night to browse and pick up a few items. Our trip was interrupted and cut short because I brought her to the dollar tree that's anti-children. My bad. We barely made it to the right side of the seasonal items when "Hang" starts yelling at me to "watch" my child and not let her play with anything because they were "closing." Too bad "Hang" was steaming red at the sight of my daughter to notice that: 1. I was watching my child. 2. my daughter was NOT playing and 3. since when does 7:55 = 9:00?! Of course I picked up my daughter and walked out, as I'm walking, we pass a hula hoop on the floor, which my kid points to and tells me "mommy, put back." (this is not intended to show how adorable my daughter is, but to.... actually nope, hands down very adorable.) Point is, no matter how considerate or well behaved your child is, there is absolutely no exceptions, you are not welcomed at this Dollar Tree. The only good thing that came from coming to this store was that my daughter made a friend when we exited dollar tree.
