While we are here, we have two birthday parties, a wedding and a MLK day celebration. I honestly have to admit I've only been to a couple MLK day events in my life. Luckily, my daughter and her girlfriend are experts and gave us the list of what to get. All available at Dollar Tree. DT's most appealing feature is the fact that everything is a dollar. Imagine that. A store with "dollar" in the title selling things for a "dollar." If I wanted items that cost more, I'd probably hit a Big Lots. Like a lot of you I have in-laws. D-o-l-l-a-r T-r-e-e! For my MIL...gifts from the dollar store. I bought a few things for her kitchen, socks, deodorant, breath mints and mylar balloons.....all for under $20. Happy Birthday, Mom! Can't wait for Christmas, hohoho. These DT ladies are incredibly friendly and patient. Even though they see me twice a year and know I'm only buying gifts for my satanic MIL and cheap-ass FIL. I am greeted with a smile and thoughtful conversation. They always seem curious as to when my flight for Tahoe leaves. I've explained it's a flight to Reno at least six times. It's one of the better DT stores. They really try to keep it stocked and neat. With the shortages or workers across the board its understandable that they get a bit overwhelmed at times. But thevstaff is always friendly and helpful. Great place for quick snacks. Also a great place for candles and inexpensive wrapping paper at the holidays. read more

I switched to this dollar tree from the one on 14 in Clawson because of bad management and no cashiers. I should have done it a long time ago. This store is very clean and well stocked. I can't believe all the great variety of cards, it looks like a hallmark store! This is my "go to" place for gift bags and cards. Twice when I couldn't find an item the cashier or a worker went and showed me where the item could be found. (That never happened on 14 mile, they would just motion in the the direction) Best place for foil disposable pans and reusable containers. I just needed to give this place a shout out because I enjoy shopping there. read more

Friend and I went in looking for garage sale signs. Walked all around the store and did not find what we were looking for so my friend politely asked the lady " excuse me do you guys sell garage sale signs with here" The woman was rude as fuck with an attitude demanded that my friend came and stand closer to her so she could pointed out from across the store. Said "see. See it over there" and when we said "no sorry I don't see it" just rudely took us to just "we'll go look better". It wasn't exactly what she said or the fact that she was just " to busy" putting price stickers on things. It was really just her tone and attitude towards. To the "Karen" working today who clearly hates her job: try getting a new one instead of being rude and frustrated with customers. This location is the cleanest and best stocked but their staff of "Karen's" are always acting like they're annoyed they have to cash you out. It's very uncomfortable. The location at 14 & Crooks is a mess but their workers are always pleasant and happy!! I'd suggest going there instead :) read more

I'll admit it. I love Dollar Tree. Unlike many of the other so-called "dollar" stores in the vicinity, everything in the store costs no more than $1. This is my favorite place for party decorations and, greeting cards, cheap glassware and, well, anything that catches my fancy. read more
