I stopped by this Dollar Tree to burn time because my wife was getting a face treatment nearby and it was going to take a while. I wanted to see what stuff they might have on sales or some snacks to get. When I walked inside, I saw that they had a long line for the checkout because there was only 1 cashier. When I was walking around the store, they already had most of their Christmas stuff gone and ready for Valentine day now. Some of the shelves were empty so I think they haven't restocked yet. I saw some car freshener that is a little more than a dollar and also looked at their frozen food area. The store is very quiet inside and will make you feel like you went back in time compared to other stores. There even a Amazon pickup locker here and I never knew that they sell ice here. read more

Best store for greeting cards. The management keeps the store well stocked and all aisles are very neat. Big selection of items not found at other Dollar Trees. Really enjoy roaming to see what new and unique items they carry. read more

I usually call ahead before doing an exchange at Dollar Tree because their return policies can be inconsistent from store to store. Over the phone, I was told by a staff member that as long as I had my receipt, everything would be fine. When I arrived, Liliana, the clerk, checked me in and was very polite and helpful--great customer service from her! However, when I went to the exchange counter, the male manager's attitude completely shifted the tone of the experience. He didn't greet me and instead immediately scolded me for not leaving my items at the front, even though I had already checked in with Liliana. When I explained that, he tried to put the blame on her, which felt unprofessional and not very team-like. I understand that the holidays can be stressful, but as a manager, he should set the standard for kindness and professionalism. Kindness is free, and trying to degrade people--whether customers or employees--doesn't help anyone. Liliana saved this review from being one star, but this store's management could definitely use a reminder about the value of treating others with respect. read more

The good: I'm always surprised by the things I find at the Dollar Store. There is plenty of parking here. They had a cute section for jewelry dishes and containers. I found a cute porcelain Parisian macaron container here that would make for a cute jewelry holder as a gift. I also saw front door mats for homes or pets. They were smaller than traditional mats but it was still incredible that they are only a buck! They also had a huge assortment of markers including gel markers, erasable highlighters (I didn't even know that existed!), poster markers, permanent markers, paint markers and more. I got some Palmolive dish soap here here too. I didn't realize they carried brand name products like that. The bad: Their wine glasses and cups are a steal but they're all super thick, clunky and heavy. It felt a little untidy there. There were balloons kind of randomly throughout the store stuck in vents in the ceiling. The interesting: It's August and you can already find Halloween and Thanksgiving decor up! read more

I rarely shop at Dollar Tree, and usually prefer the 99 Cent Store when looking for something at really cheap prices. But since my wife needed to stop by on our way to the gym to pick up a few items. And remembering I could use a few more men's items myself, I came in with her. This being my first time at this location, the Mrs directed me in the right direction. I picked up my two items, some body wash and shampoo, and proceeded to checkout. Very short lines and friendly cashier. I managed to pay less than $3.00 for both and left feeling good about shopping here. While the wife found all she needed as well. Well worth stopping by when wanting to save a few bucks. read more

Dollar Tree you've done well with your manager Rita. Whenever I go in, if she's working, it's like my day just gets better having had the chance to interact with her. She is legit what so many stores are missing when it comes to customer service theses days. This trip to $1Tree was a rush for last minute party supplies. Not only did Rita help me find what I was looking for, she took time out of her busy day to actually walk me to the correct aisles and point out what was in stock and what could possibly work as a substitute for what wasn't in stock but I felt I had needed. This was so helpful as I was in a rush and a bit of a panic having had the vendor cancel last minute on a birthday party for a 3yr old. Stockpiling a cart, Rita was generous enough to help me to my car with all my purchases (as it would've required multiple trips otherwise) since the store carts are no longer allowed outside the store. Thrilled to say that Dollar Tree came thru for me when I needed it and Rita was the MVP that day. The party went off without any more issues and everyone had a blast. The service here was horrible today. There was only one cashier working and when she called for backup there was an older man just standing around. The line was extremely long. The cashier went slower the longer the older man didn't help, I think in an attempt to force him to help. I work retail so I understand it being busy, but don't have a cashier who scans extremely slow, especially when there's such a long line. Don't have an employee who just stands around walking in circles when the line is almost to the back of the store. Hire better people and learn basic customer service skills. read more

I have never been in a Dollar Tree that I did not like. They have many name brand items that sell for much higher in the big department stores. This particular one however has low ratings and I know why. It's a dump! I believe we can thank the manager Rob for that. He likes to make up laws that don't exist. I asked where the bathroom was and he informed me that Only employees can use it. I told him I had a bladder infection and he said no. So I told him by law he had to allow me to use it and he said no because they did not make food and serve it there. Hahaha what a moron. I informed him that there was a law called Ally's Law and for certain medical conditions he had to allow it. He yelled at the top of his lungs no. So he broke the law for which I'll be filing a complaint with the State Attorney Generals office. I love Dollar Tree because of all the different selections of stuff they have especially their Christmas items. They have very unique stuff and it's a dollar. This store was unorganized and had merchandise all over the floor . I don't think anyone ever puts anything away or straightens up the place. They are pretty junky in this store . I have seen better clean and tidy garage sales than this store. I see from prior Pictures and reviews of this store they have done nothing to improve it either. I bought some food items form there that where expired back in January 2021. I went back to return them and they only do exchange, so I said ok. Then I bought none food items because I won't buy any food items form there again. And as I check out I told her that there was more expired food, she did not care. I needed to buy some gift bags and wrapping paper and had heard they had a variety of different options so I decided to come in and boy was it a mistake. I wish I had taken pictures to show, but this place was a mess. They had random boxes up and down most of their aisles. It looked like an attempt at stocking but nothing was being done. As I walked down the toy aisle, the toys were all over the place including the floor. It looked like it had not been cleaned up in days. When I was ready to check out, I was disappointed to see only one cash register open and 6 people in front of me. It would have been nice if a second register would open so they could check out people faster. Overall, I don't think I will be returning. I would be to scared that I would trip over an open box in the aisle and that I would have to wait forever to check out. I'm giving two stars instead of 1 because they did have a decent selection of gift bags after I figured out where they were hiding under the boxes. read more

This is in a very large shopping center so parking isn't a problem. Their selection of items doesn't seem to be as wide as their competition. Or, maybe the items don't grab me when I see them? I was there on Tuesday to find some glass flower vases. I asked the young lady where they were and she told me what aisle number and what side. I didn't catch her name unfortunately. She was right on target! I found a few vases that were good, but the second one was just so so. I didn't want to stop by their competitors for the second style, so I just bought it. Luckily, the young ladies at work didn't complain about the vases, especially since I have them assorted roses as a gift! The store carries the usual housewares, toys, stationery, snacks, health and beauty aids, etc, that you'd expect from this type of store. They have balloons!! Who would'e thought to get balloons at a Dollar Tree. Party City charges $1.99 for foil balloons and Dollar Tree sells them for $0.99. Granted, they may not have the same selection but it gets the job done especially when you're looking to stay local. I stop into the store probably about twice a month.. I'm usually picking up cleaning supplies, party supplies or occasional balloon bouquets.. While at the dollar tree today, I saw a mouse trap on the their retail shelves. Not for sale. When I tried to explain to not only one but two sales associates, that this is unsanitary as well as a liability... They seemed completely confused by what I was saying. I also was taken aback by the amount of back stock as I passed by their stock room, especially because when I asked if they might have any anti-bacterial wipes in the back they told me all stock was on the shelves... I just stoped by to buy some batteries, at the entrance on the Glass Door it clearly states NO ONE CAN ENTER WITHOUT A MASK ! One of the employees was not wearing a mask and was coughing, not only was she coughing on the other worker that was centimeters from her, she continued to help the customers, and I was next, she touched her register and then went to look for what I thought it was a mask, but she just used a little bit of sanitizer, I then asked her if she was supposed to be wearing a mask, and she said US, and I said yes, especially because you are coughing, she just said oh I just started coughing. I paid and of course I was afraid to touch the merchandise and my change, she just said don't worry I used gel. Totally nonchalant, not even apologized nor made the effort to cover herself. I have been on the customer line for over 30 min, once someone answered I was transferred somewhere else, this behavior is totally unacceptable when we follow the rules from their own company. I am glad that I carry a small Lysol and hand sanitizer which I covered my merchandise with. read more

The Dollar Tree Store is every parents dream when your kid is asking for yet another matchbox car and they carry it here for a buck! Cheap, inexpensive party supplies as well as gift wrapping and party favors that are pretty and sometimes 2 for $1...What? How can that be! They carried every back to school supplies my sons needed and more. Their selection for classroom decor and achievement stickers are a teachers dream. Mylar balloons are yes ONE DOLLAR versus $3-$4 at other party supply stores. I love their short story books from preschool to grade school and even their pet supply section is impressive. A smart place to get knick knacks, cleaning supplies, plastic bags and candy/snacks. read more

Dollar Tree was probably one of the first of the 'everything's a buck' stores and the only one that is truly national. However, most of the Tree's I've been to have pretty weak branches. In other words, mostly no-name stuff, very few name brands and not much I'd really want to buy. Especially with the 99 Only Stores in full flux with better stuff. And you save an extra penny! At least this store has a frozen food section and some interesting products. Was surprised to see Coffee Crisp as one of the candy offerings here. They also used to sell the Sunday Daily News for 75 cents. Both of those are gone which is always the peril of buying at a place like this. Funny that it's next to a Big Lots which means sometimes I'll go to both stores and compare prices on an item or two. They recently started selling two packs of energy efficient light bulbs for a buck thanks to a deal with Southern California Edison. So that's a nice touch. Overall though, I'd stick with 99 Only or even the Mom and Pop 97 Store here on the corner of Soledad Canyon and Sierra Highway. read more

Kudos to the male cashier for being very professional, kind and apologetic to the situation that I tried to bring to that so-called manager's attention about an EXPIRED salsa. That male cashier last Thurs (6/20) actually are more deserving in a manager position instead of that unprofessional "manager". Y'all need re-evaluate who you put in a manager's position.
