I once overheard a woman exclaim to her friend, "I'm excited to see what's in stock today, Betty!" I think it's the same stuff all the time, but their enthusiasm was infectious. (Side note: I always wondered why Dollar Tree felt the need to send out flyers... we get it, your stuff is a dollar. It's always one single dollar. And - for the most part - we know you're always going to have the same stuff like [but definitely not limited to]: birthday cards, plastic food containers, puzzles, glow sticks, candles, and seasonal stuff like school supplies in August/September, Halloween and autumnal decorations August/September/October/November, Christmas stuff October/November/December, etc.).

First off - there's parking. Love that. Then - there's seasonal items along the front wall. Right now there's back to school, which is great, and also Halloween stuff! Naturally, I picked up some string lights, pumpkin decor, and a skeleton mirror... can't ever start too early. I was super pumped to see an enormous selection of gift wrap, ribbons, bows, tissue, bags - you name it. I grabbed a whole bunch, and I even found some extra little trinkets to put into the gift bags as little favors. It actually was all pretty organized, which surprised me. I was expecting absolute mayhem and chaos. Things seem to be pretty in order here. The best part? EVERYTHING. IS. ONE. DOLLAR. I know, this sounds dumb to say, because it's a Dollar Tree. But several other stores with "dollar" in their name are not true dollar stores! Here, everything is literally one dollar. It is so wonderful. Hand soap? Toothpaste? Candy bars? Candles? Books? ONE DOLLAR. The cashier, Bill, was so friendly and caring of my items. He packaged everything carefully and even offered to help me carry my heavy bags out to my car. He was really stellar. We were standing there smelling the colognes (bottle to the nose) and I decided my to ditch my husband for the clearance racks. Im 30 feet away when one of the employees says, while bagging a customer order "sir, you cant spray the cologne because some customers may have allergies". My husband looks up and says "yep, I understand- I havent sprayed anything" (he works in the medical field) she continues in front of at least 20 people standing in line, and 10 more people at the registers- "if you spray it and someone wants to buy it then they cant return it". He states again "I havent sprayed anything". A few key notes here, he was the ONLY African American in the building, she did not say anything to him until I walked away AND she accused him multiple times when he hadn't sprayed anything at all. We left because he was embarrassed and angry, and called the store and spoke with a manager-who wasnt impressed. No cologne was sprayed, but there arent signs stating that cologne cant be sprayed. She didnt speak the same to the gentleman who was there before us, and I have never been spoken to about spraying or not spraying cologne in that store. I heard her from 30 feet away, and everyone was staring at my husband as if he HAD done something wrong. Hang it up lady.

I politely declined and she persisted. After expressing I didn't want one, the manager came over and said "are you sure?" I'm pretty sure, and I responded with "I'm really irresponsible so I'm going to pass." Even with all of that back and forth, the girl responded "I'm shocked I got approved for it!" And then the manager goes "you don't even need your ID!" I explain I do not have my ID, which was a lie to get them to STOP ASKING ME IF I WANTED THE CREDIT CARD, and they tell me "scan this QR code for the credit card instead!" I say no AGAIN, and then asks me TWO more times if I wanted the credit card! I was shocked that this young girl, who was probably no older than 19, and her 40 year old manager were seriously trying to push this credit card onto me like it was crack cocaine!! I would seriously not recommend going to this location, unless you want to be peer pressured like you were in high school.

My uncle was looking for watch fobs, which she didn't have, but if you give her time, I bet she'll add them to her collection... I collect antique dolls and toys, and there were few of these items in her collection, but she did have a neat little trike from the turn of the century.
