It can be a feat to get into this driveway which leads to the parking area. It seems like it is a narrow one way entrance/exit, but I think it is intended to be used as both. If you enter by driving past the store to the next entry/exit is a much better access, probably safer, too. I like this Dollar Tree, so much variety to look at! Even if you just see something and don't really need it, it's only a buck, so in the basket it goes! haha I have to control myself. Really, the 99¢ Store should be called a dollar store, they round everything to a dollar. For the principle itself, I prefer to shop at the Dollar Tree. It is what it says it is. Pretty much whatever you might need, you can find it here. Right now, they have a big selection of flimsy Flip Flops that you'd pay around $3 elsewhere. Lots of Graduation & Patriotic decorations. You never know what gems you might find here. Remember, sometimes you do get what you pay for and sometimes you find products that are sturdy! I got in and out and on my way very quickly. I make it here about once a month.

    Lines a mile long. Typical

These folks are worked way to hard, they can't possibly keep up. The lines are always insanely long and the store is always a mess. That being said, the employees are awesome. Super kind and definitely trying their best. The new manager is never around, rude and obviously doesn't care. Sad really. The parking lot looks like a trash bomb exploded. Kind of on par with this company

Still the Biggest and the Best…read more What does $10 get you these days? Not much, unless you shop at Last Chance Store. My favorite day of the week to go there is Wednesday. Everything in the many, huge 'Bargain Bins' is just $1 each. The available merchandise constantly changes every week. If you like 'treasure hunting', this place satisfies that urge. Here's a well known secret that keeps customers coming back over and over again. If you're there on Wednesday, during the 'Magic Hour(s)', which is usually announced sometime after 12 noon to approx. 1 pm, a "Fill-er Up Special" begins. The special promo ends when they say so and the store often closes early (time varies and it could be as soon as 2 pm-ish). Tall kitchen-sized trash bags (approx. 13 gallon size) are dispensed (for 10 cents each, which is paid for during check-out to the cashier). You'd be surprised how much a single trash bag can hold. And, you're not limited to just one bag. I took pictures of my bargain haul on 5-20-26 and laid them out in an organized manner for you to see.

I remember this location from back in the day was a movie theatre and then in the most recent years, a LA Fitness. I used to go to the gym here often and so it felt a little nostalgic walking in remembering when the gym got renovated. Now at Last Chance, it's been transformed into more of a giant warehouse of random things. Gone is the fresh paint and shiny gym mirrors and instead it's replaced with tables filled with random stuff. It is more like a giant garage sale and the whole place had a noticeable odor. The overall atmosphere also felt a bit uncomfortable for me personally due to the security presence. This spot wasn't the right fit for me, but for others they may have a different experience.

My GodAuntie and Mom wanted to drag me along for a mini-shopping spree. I say "drag" because I…read morereally didn't feel like going, but they somehow managed to convince me to go - and got me to drive, too! But I'm glad I got to go and check this place out. I may have driven through 2 or 3 other Ross', but this is THE spot they wanted to hit (they had prior experience with those and they weren't too happy...) The first thing I wanted to do as soon as I walked in was to use the bathroom. I walked all the way to the back and as most Ross stores go, the door is coded. So, I walked all the way up front to get this code, but was told to go to the fitting room and staff there would open it up for me. Then she tells me to just go back to where I started and that she'll buzz me in. I stood there for a couple of minutes and nothing. Another minute and I felt like my bladder was about to scream. So I walked back to the fitting room and told that same staff I didn't hear any buzz. She said she didn't see me on the camera. (Like... really?!) Was she even looking?! She ended up walking back with me and unlocking it manually. The bathroom was disgustingly dirty. Tissue paper everywhere, the hand dryer wasn't working and let's just say we were off to a bad start at this store! (Insert pouty face here...) I lost interest in shopping after that, but I had to play the waiting game with the party I was with. After a few minutes of semi-sulking, my interest slowly snuck back through and that's when I started seeing stuff I kinda wanted to get: decor for the bathroom, a hoodie, leggings... I even got to help Mom pick out a couple of outfits. I walked through the pet aisle and that was a mess! But it was being handled by another staff member and I gotta say she organized that entire area pretty quickly! Impressive... she was really hustlin'! And she did it well! That's when I noticed a few more staff members at random locations of the store doing the same thing - putting out-of-place-items back where they belong. That explains why this place is generally clean and organized. Great bargain buys. We ended up with a few big bags' worth of stuff at reasonable prices. Although the drive wasn't convenient, it was well worth it. Great first run! Keeping them in my Ross' radar from here on...

Uptown Cheapskate is this fully stocked, stuffed to the brim, place to grab your vintage clothing…read more This shop really has a lot of clothing! I mean, really a lot! They have tons of a little bit of everything. They have tons of women's clothing, tons of men's clothing, tons of T-shirts, and a whole lot of shoes. Really! A lot of shoes! The store is what I would say is a step above shopping at a thrift store. What they do here is, offer the best of the best of vintage clothing. So, when you go in here, you know you're going to find high-quality items. This is not to say that they're cheap. For some, their prices may be considered a little bit high. But, again, what you're getting is the best of the best of vintage clothing, and sometimes you have to pay for that privilege. Depending on what you're looking for, this store may very well have it. From my experience, this store is most commonly geared towards a younger audience. They have tons of T-shirts, jeans, and a lot of stuff that could be considered on the more casual side of the picture. For example, when I shop a vintage store, I'm commonly looking men's sport coats and suits, and stuff along that line. They really don't have a good selection of these items. This is just something to keep in mind if you're looking for that kind of thing. But, on the other hand, if you're looking for all of the more casual style of clothing, they have a lot of it. Located on Hawthorne Boulevard, this store is fairly easy to find. They have a parking lot in the front and the rear, which sometimes can become kind of full. So, you may have to park on the street. This is because of the fact this store is a very popular shop. A lot of people come here, particularly on the weekends. And, when they have their sales, forget about it. The store is packed. One way or the other, if you're looking for that vintage piece of clothing, that really cool something, that T-shirt that you've been looking for forever, that pair of really cool shoes, or whatever else, this may be your place to find it.

Review #866 2025-038…read more I first discovered Grocery Outlet about a decade ago in Fresno, & was attracted to the unusual finds at a "grocery store," such as an Olaf bike helmet, Curious George: Discovery Beach Game, etc. The first S. Bay store opened 6 years ago in Redondo Beach, just before COVID-19; it's a bit out of way to shop there. And about a year ago, they took over the former Big Lots location in Lomita. What is Grocery Outlet? They're a discount grocery chain that sells name brand groceries & fresh produce for 40% - 70% less than conventional grocery stores. How? By buying overstocked, seasonal, closeout, & discontinued items from various suppliers. This "opportunistic buying" allows them to acquire items at significant discounts, which are passed on to us. My 14 YO daughter's swim team does this away meet "gift" (junk) exchange where they create a goody bag filled with their fav snacks & drinks. They're kids so it's obviously junk foods & sodas, except for the handful who treat each meet with consideration of this bag o' treats may hinder their performance. I'm grateful for the less expensive options at Grocery Outlet. Since I don't agree with their choices, I started creating my own carbo-load sustenance (fresh fruits, granola bars, nuts, etc.) on competition days. Grocery Outlet offer pretty great deals on fresh fruits, I especially loved the 2-lb. strawberry pack that my husband got recently... so fresh, juicy, & sweet! I got some red cherries (at $2.99/lb.) that were sweet too! Not all produce offer better quality & prices, I'd say it's more like 50-50. Another recent find was A-Sha Spicy Seaweed (only 99¢) & Keroppi Mandarin Noodles with Silly Spicy Sauce (60% discount). Store hours are 7:00 AM - 10:00 PM daily, just a couple hours shorter than the traditional stores. Wide aisles are well-stocked & organized, but you may not always find the same products at your next shopping trip due to opportunistic buying, & what may be priced that day may be priced differently the next day (e.g. Quaker Chewy Limited Edition Valentine Minis: Chocolate Chip with Sprinkles was 99¢, & 2 days later it was $3.99). Also, it's important to check the expiration dates for those too-good-to-be-true deals, they usually have a short expiration dates or are already expired. Yikes! There's usually only 1 register opened even when there's a line, I wish they would opened another register, but the cashiers are typically quick that sometimes I have to load my own bags. Sign up for the WOW! Crowd with your mobile number to enter sweepstakes, track savings, & purchase history. Download the app to see what's in store, get access to insider events, & digital offers, including a $5 off $25 coupon at registration. Grocery Outlet may not be our main go-to store, but it's certainly a great back-up to the traditional stores.
