I was told to complete the financing paperwork at the local credit union, as they would be closing before the dealership that day. After I drove 500 miles, I arrived to find the deal had changed when the owner removed my state's tax benefits from my trade offer. As the agreement had already been financed, I was hard-pressed to argue now. I told my salesperson to have the car "road trip ready," specifically instructing them to make sure the tires were inflated to the proper levels and to change the oil if needed. Then, I had the car inspected at a nearby dealership (a certified manufacturer dealership) the day before purchase. Due to time (not mileage), the car needed an oil change per the inspection, but this information was intentionally withheld. I was only made aware of the recommendation after I had to contact the inspection team, as an engine light came on 400 miles into my drive home. As such, it was not listed on the buyer's order. When I asked for reimbursement for the overdue oil change, I was denied. The salesperson apologized as the owner refused to oblige. After some failed attempts, I went through the BBB. After some additional back-and-forth, the owner then offered to reimburse half the cost of the oil change in exchange for my removing my negative review on CarFax and signing away my rights to write any further negative reviews on any other platform. I reserved my rights and said I hoped for full reimbursement so I could add something positive to my reviews. He then shut down all communication through the BBB. I have attached a screenshot of his offer on my google review as I could not add it here. He said my CarFax review was "derogatory," but I encourage you to read it for yourself on CarFax.

Instead of helping customers, it feels like their main goal is to squeeze as much money as possible out of people. Communication is poor, issues aren't explained clearly, and accountability is nonexistent. I left feeling taken advantage of rather than helped. I would not recommend their service department to anyone.

I am filing this Yelp review to formally report a highly deceptive and unethical experience I had…read morewith Marianna Chevrolet/GMC, which appears to be engaging in manipulative financing practices, dishonest sales tactics, and predatory behavior toward consumers--even those with excellent credit and solid income. I was in the process of purchasing a vehicle through this dealership. Despite being more than qualified, I was presented with a financing package that came with an unreasonably high APR. When I questioned it, I was told this was the best and only offer available--despite the fact that I later discovered they had submitted my application to multiple lenders, including one that approved me for a significantly better rate. Rather than disclose the more favorable offer--which I would have accepted without hesitation--the dealership intentionally withheld it in an apparent attempt to coerce me into agreeing to the higher-interest loan, which would have benefited them, not me. When I confronted them with evidence of the better APR from one of their own partner lenders, they continued to push the false narrative that the inflated rate was my only option. The situation was made even worse by the behavior of the two sales representatives assigned to me--Landon and Glenn--who were clearly working together to mislead me. They provided inconsistent answers, evaded direct questions, and deliberately avoided putting anything in writing. Their actions demonstrated a complete lack of transparency and professionalism. It became increasingly clear that I was being manipulated from the start. Despite telling me the deal was finalizing, and encouraging me to move forward, they had already decided to sell the vehicle to someone else--likely due to my refusal to accept their shady loan terms. They even instructed me to purchase full insurance coverage, which I did in good faith, incurring out-of-pocket costs. Then, without any warning, I was told the vehicle was sold to another customer. Their actions wasted days of my time, cost me unnecessary expenses, and completely disregarded the basic expectations of integrity in any business transaction. To make matters worse, the dealership submitted my credit application to multiple lenders, resulting in several hard inquiries on my credit report--even though they already had a lender offering terms I would have agreed to. These unnecessary hard pulls have now impacted my credit score. It's clear that these inquiries were not made in a genuine effort to secure the best financing, but rather to string me along and pressure me into accepting an inferior offer. This pattern of behavior--from withholding better loan offers, to running multiple credit checks under false pretenses, to pushing me into buying insurance before backing out of the deal--amounts to deceptive, unethical, and possibly predatory business conduct. Reports concerning these predatory sales practices have been submitted to the BBB and the FTC for investigation.

They went up on the fees apparently that are added on during final purchase which isn't calculated until the final purchase. Issue is they have gone up so much on those fees that if you have a pre-approval from your bank or whoever, while using their website information for what the vehicle cost will leave you with a surprise extra 2k to 3k in fees. But, okay I'll roll with that. After the purchase, the car died on me overnight. Had to have it towed next day. They did a little more inspection this time...The vehicle was not inspection properly before being sold. They gave 4 new tires and an alignment on them. Okay I'll roll with that. A few weeks later, my console is telling me something is draining the battery so I called them again to see if they even did a basic inspection on yhe vehicle. They sent me to a local shop that works on bmws etc. Turns out they put a battery that was too small for the vehicle instead of getting the correct battery... Highly likely won't be buying through Carmax again.
