We visited this dollar tree when we were in the area. It is nicely stocked with everything that one needs. We got a comb for our younger one and we easily could locate it. And we got some toiletries for the trip and we could easily find them. Our elder one bought a balloon to play with. The store is nice and clean and layout seems wide. The staff is really friendly. They treat you well and make sure to ask you that you found everything OK. Overall a nice dollar tree to get any last minute items that one needs. read more

Adj: Decent Dollar Tree with a Diverse Range of Dependable Products and Plenty of Different Doodads So this Dollar Tree (DT going forward) has been opened since 2021 but I've not had the chance to check it out till recently. I usually frequent DTs in my area for everyday essentials, frivolous fun items, and hobby materials so this DT is new to me. It looked so big from the outside and indeed it is pretty big once you enter the store. This DT's arrangement is similar to other DTs with holiday and seasonal items front and center near the entrance, and then there's more (party & home) decor, greeting cards, arts & crafts and gardening items, etc. towards one side (right side in this store as you face in), essentials like health & beauty, automotive & electronics, and some "clothing" (mostly socks) towards the middle, and the left side of the store has the pantry & shelf stable food goods as well as light kitchenware to include dishes, cups, glasses, silverware, plastic and glass storage, etc. Towards the back of the store there are several freezer/cold cases just behind the aisles of pantry foods, and back towards the right side of the store again against the backwall, there are all the cleaning supplies and chemicals. Relatedly, I want to mention that Awesome is one brand that's tried and true for cheap cleaning liquids that DT still carries. Basically DT carries a little bit of everything you could possibly need, but on a smaller scale of choices, durability/quality, and functionality. So in some way it's almost as comprehensive as a Target or Walmart, but it's more convenient to get in and out here if you can find the same items here and it'll probably be slightly cheaper, but a lower quality version. It's too bad inflation has made it so that so many items at DT are now $1.25 at a minimum and most are at $1.50 to $5 and some items even more pricey than that. I found arts & crafts supplies I was looking for here, so this store is better stocked than one of the regular DTs in my area, but there were also some messy areas throughout this store. Still, it's not a bad DT and it's really got a little of everything from your depended on items to different doodads that don't matter, lol. Overall, this particular DT at the corner of Laguna and Bruceville was more than adequate in its offerings and staff were friendly and helpful enough too. read more

I stopped here for the second time the other day and in typical me fashion I could not find the one thing I came in for so I ended up buying 20 things I didn't need. I couldn't help myself really. This location has lots of arts and crafts supplies, and quite decently organized for a Dollar Tree. Did I grab multiple bottles of acrylic paint and then get blue paint all over my hand only to find one of the bottles had busted open? Yes. Did that stop me from leaving the line to go back and find the ONE remaining bottle of the color I wanted that wasn't busted? No. Aside from that, the only issue I had here was that there were at least three employees standing in the front of the business but only one was working. Typically I wouldn't mind because people need breaks or sometimes they are assigned to something else, but the line for the one open cash register had over 15 people at one point. By the time I finally got to the front and was next in line, it was so long it was wrapping around to the point where people were getting a little bit argumentative. I heard someone yell "Hey! The line is behind me." and a few other words about it as well. I probably spent more time in line as I did in the store looking for all the items I needed, uh wanted. I know these stores are notoriously understaffed, but when employees are standing at the front chatting, it fuels resentment. If you can't open a new line and help the many waiting customers, maybe take your conversation to the break room or somewhere out of sight. I would still come here for affordable crafting supplies, but I would definitely try to head over during off-peak hours if possible. read more

Wow, it's crazy that my last review was in 2021 when items were still $1. To my surprise today, the holiday items were notably $1.50. I noticed also that some of their holiday items are very similar to previous years, so it is disappointing that things I bought before have jumped in price. There appeared to be some items throughout the store that were $1.25 still. The catering items for some reason are $2, so maybe they are catching wind that people are coming to Dollar Tree for cheaper items and they are capitalizing. There are other items sprinkled throughout the store that are definitely way more than $1.25-$1.50 however much it is, such as $3 up to $7 (as far as I saw). I guess to balance it out, there was an endcap to the left of the store that had 25 cents clearance. It seemed like less useful items though. The store was also pretty messy, disorganized. read more

I was in the neighborhood and came in to check out the Easter decorations and whatever jumps out as a good buy! Of course, lots of Easter decorations and candy!! Score!!! I also found instant coffee for my work backpack. ( You know, if work is out of coffee and you need that wake me up stash!! ) All other stuff was household stuff for me. For the most part, the Dollar Tree store offers cleaning supplies, arts and crafts, holiday decorating supplies, gift bags, balloons, kitchen stuff, small freezer section, some foods/snacks, gift cards, toys, greeting cards, and much more. For the most part, it's a bargain! With that being said, bargains are a hit and miss. You'll have to come more frequently to find new finds besides their everyday staple items. For example, today I saw some cute Disney brand socks!! There were some Star Wars themed ones. Overall, lots of shoppers. Employees stocking shelves. Shared parking with other businesses. Can be chaotic at times. The lady at the register was extremely nice and cheerful. Oh! She had the most AMAZING pink colored hair!! Love it!! read more

This location has everything you need, friendly staff, almost organized shelves. I hope they get to fix the freezer or the A/C system as it was making an awful noise during my 10mins visit, I felt terrible for the staff that had to endure ear ringing noise. This dollar tree usually is pretty well stocked on your everyday needs, because it's in the heart of Elk Grove it can tend to get super duper busy during peak hours! I came into this store to find some essentials to make a basket for a teenager and found everything that I was looking for, around graduation time-so that was surprising and a plus. The staff is friendly once you get to the check stand and they usually hold a good conversation with you during checkout. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because of how messy it can be on a regular basis. read more

I've been in the Dollar Tree store now 2 times on Laguna Blvd and Bruceville in Elk Grove, Ca. It was disgustingly filthy. The floors were dirty with old gum on the floor and in need of mopping/sweeping. Merchandise was thrown about, all over the floor, in the wrong places, unorganized, etc. The shelving was a complete mess and thrown about and I'm not exaggerating. The entire store is a cluttered mess. One very nice woman helping a huge line of people, not enough help. The main thing I can say is service is subpar. Staff can definitely make customers feel unwelcome a. I arrived 10 mins before closing knowing exactly what I wanted and where it was located but the employee said I couldn't come in because they were closed. "I need to go home too" he told me. I love Dollar Tree!!! It is a new location that I didn't know before. We were trying out the new Asian grocery and saw this! It's in the same location as the old Pier 1. The store is very organized and neat. The cashier is friendly. I hit the jackpot and found all the cute planters and Disney themed toys! I also got a rubber mullet from the tool aisle. The Halloween stuff is not out yet so I think I will be back again soon! read more

Sometimes I will found some good stuff that I wanted in the DollarTree stores. I finally come to this one in Elk Grove/Laguna Creek opened a few months ago. But it is very disappointing! The store is pretty empty with lots of shelves that have nothing on them. But the store also looks very messy even it has so many empty spaces. I usually will found something in the bargain stores I'll bring home even I don't need it. But I did not see anything that I would like to purchase in this DollarTree store. I hope this is only a temporary situation due to the shortage of everything lately. I'll check them out a few months later and update my review! read more

I go to Dollar Tree to buy peanuts in the shell and ginger snap cookies for my client's goats and sheep. The shelves are usually stocked where I can buy 3-10 bags of each at a time. Prices of course are cheap, the animals love the treats and the customer service is always friendly, helpful and I get a thank you for coming in. read more

Worst customer service. One register open and the cashier is helping a customer with a bouquet of balloons. There was a long line forming when the manager comes out of her office, had a full conversation with the staff member and walked right past the line of customers at the register. She then went on to have a conversation with another staff member about an incident that happened the other day at this store. Every location I've gone to has only ever had ONE cashier working so there's always a long line. They had two cashiers and while in line for one, she decides to close down and redirects us to the other cashier and here I am standing in another long line. read more

I just came to this dollar tree at 8:52pm and the sign outside the door says they close at 9pm, I tried to walk in and a older lady was standing at the door and told us they were closed, I told her the sign says you close at 9pm and I just need one thing she proceeded to say they were close with her hand out like she was pushing us out, again I said but I need one thing and you don't close till 9 but she kept saying they were closed, maybe they should put there sign to close at 8:52pm if that's the case, she was super rude about it the whole time and could've at least told us in a nice way. Gave a two star because even though the employees here were ridiculous and rude, the store saved my life because I needed to make a gift basket and they actually had the clear wrap that goes around baskets. As I went to check out, I can hear to employees talking and laughing, but more so like a complaining. They both went to the register behind me when I was paying, and one of them (looked like an Asian lady) kept saying how these customers are unbelievable and she can't stand then. She talked about how this one customer did not want to grab the receipt on her own, and she asked the employee to grab it for her. The employee told her friend that there was no reason the customer could have grabbed the receipt herself, so she ripped off the receipt, and shoved it in the bag instead of handing it over. She mentioned, "I know she was worried about touching the receipt printer, but she's not the only one worried about covid, next time she can grab it herself....cause I'm not handing it to her." I'm sorry....but if you expect to work in customer service...you better expect to hand a receipt to a customer. It does NOT make them ridiculous for them wanting you to do your job. Unprofessional business, save your time. There's a reason why this store only has 2 stars. I went to this dollar tree for a few quick things to wrap a gift because this is the closest dollar store to my house, and while in there the fire alarm went off. Instead of the employees politely asking everyone to evacuate, the employees chose to make smart remarks such as "Do you not hear the fire alarm?" but before then we were never asked to leave. Even while walking out of the store, we heard the employees laughing and making jokes about the customers. It was pure ignorance. This dollar tree has somewhat good stuff, but the employees are horrible enough to make me not go there again and instead just drive 15-20 minutes to another dollar store. If they're that miserable working at this store, then they shouldn't be working there. It gives the store a bad look. read more

Overall, the employees here are very rude today I came to get specifically school supplies, and the lady had the aisle blocked off because she was restocking which should be done in hours at the store are closed but at the very least should not keep someone from getting what they need to refuse to let me grab a notebook at the end of the aisle, and was very rude about it read more

So Sunday the 12th I came into this dollar tree between 5-6 pm unknowing that the store has made it to the area. I thought fantastic I can run into this store and purchase a few balloons for my close friend for her birthday. As soon as I reach the balloon area immediately A disgruntled Spanish woman employee looked totally irritated that I even asked for a balloon. She tried to ask a black woman cashier if they are blowing up balloons tonight. Basically hoping shed say NO ... She actually replies yes we are blowing up balloons. In my mind i'm like why wouldn't they blow up balloons smh. She decided to tell me that she just got to the store and just clocked in. WHO CARES in my head; get to work- I still wanted balloons. After minutes of standing looking for the last balloons they had left because it was so bare and unorganized and also because she wouldn't help me in any fashion because she just "got there", turns out the Spanish employee says theres no more helium which is some complete BULL! she just didn't want to work in my opinion. Long story short I decided not to fight that battle so I went next door to Party City paying way more money that I didn't have. I love dollar trees! I don't expect much for service it's a dollar tree! I love the Knick knacks things I can get for less. This place actually opens at 8am. I over heard the sales associate say let there be light! Guess it's dim because lights don't come in on till 9am automatically. So they can't control that part of darkness. Associates don't really care at least a few of the morning ones. 2 ladies were talking amongst themselves. But, it's ok! It's not dillards! It's a dollar tree. One associate did say hi as I past looking for some stuff. Overall, this store and all dollar Trees are amazing !! I like going into all of them because they all carry different items. Went in to pick up online order. Was told by cashier that manager is busy in office and to wait 5-10 minutes. I waited closer to 15 minutes. When I asked the cashier how much longer am I going to have to wait. She went and asked the manager and came back to me saying it's going to be another 5-10 minutes because the manager is on the phone. Warning!!! To be serious concern and announce this store has been sale toxic dog toys! I write because I brought this ball dog toy with green and red color tennis for my dog to play because he loves ball to play all the times.my dog chewing it and biting it wild she is playing it, it might have swallowed pieces of the tennis ball because when I checked the ball parts of it had came off.I assume it has many pieces in her stomach.she starts to vomiting some pieces of the tennis ball and lost appetite. I tried to give her some water and her favorite chicken but she still didn't want it to eat.she stop eating and drinking for almost a week and she looks freaking out and hide under the table seems like she is having a hard time and confused who the owner is .today she died after two weeks later .I feel very upset because I brought this toxic toy that kills my own dog.. Paid for some balloons and was waiting for someone to put helium in them cuz there was only 1 cashier and she said she couldn't do it cuz she was the only cashier.
