    Some $1.25 items
    Cindy M.

Wow, it's crazy that my last review was in 2021 when items were still $1. To my surprise today, the holiday items were notably $1.50. I noticed also that some of their holiday items are very similar to previous years, so it is disappointing that things I bought before have jumped in price. There appeared to be some items throughout the store that were $1.25 still. The catering items for some reason are $2, so maybe they are catching wind that people are coming to Dollar Tree for cheaper items and they are capitalizing. There are other items sprinkled throughout the store that are definitely way more than $1.25-$1.50 however much it is, such as $3 up to $7 (as far as I saw). I guess to balance it out, there was an endcap to the left of the store that had 25 cents clearance. It seemed like less useful items though. The store was also pretty messy, disorganized.

I was in the neighborhood and came in to check out the Easter decorations and whatever jumps out as a good buy! Of course, lots of Easter decorations and candy!! Score!!! I also found instant coffee for my work backpack. ( You know, if work is out of coffee and you need that wake me up stash!! ) All other stuff was household stuff for me. For the most part, the Dollar Tree store offers cleaning supplies, arts and crafts, holiday decorating supplies, gift bags, balloons, kitchen stuff, small freezer section, some foods/snacks, gift cards, toys, greeting cards, and much more. For the most part, it's a bargain! With that being said, bargains are a hit and miss. You'll have to come more frequently to find new finds besides their everyday staple items. For example, today I saw some cute Disney brand socks!! There were some Star Wars themed ones. Overall, lots of shoppers. Employees stocking shelves. Shared parking with other businesses. Can be chaotic at times. The lady at the register was extremely nice and cheerful. Oh! She had the most AMAZING pink colored hair!! Love it!!

This dollar tree usually is pretty well stocked on your everyday needs, because it's in the heart of Elk Grove it can tend to get super duper busy during peak hours! I came into this store to find some essentials to make a basket for a teenager and found everything that I was looking for, around graduation time-so that was surprising and a plus. The staff is friendly once you get to the check stand and they usually hold a good conversation with you during checkout. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because of how messy it can be on a regular basis.

I love Dollar Tree!!! It is a new location that I didn't know before. We were trying out the new Asian grocery and saw this! It's in the same location as the old Pier 1. The store is very organized and neat. The cashier is friendly. I hit the jackpot and found all the cute planters and Disney themed toys! I also got a rubber mullet from the tool aisle. The Halloween stuff is not out yet so I think I will be back again soon!

Sometimes I will found some good stuff that I wanted in the DollarTree stores. I finally come to this one in Elk Grove/Laguna Creek opened a few months ago. But it is very disappointing! The store is pretty empty with lots of shelves that have nothing on them. But the store also looks very messy even it has so many empty spaces. I usually will found something in the bargain stores I'll bring home even I don't need it. But I did not see anything that I would like to purchase in this DollarTree store. I hope this is only a temporary situation due to the shortage of everything lately. I'll check them out a few months later and update my review!

I go to Dollar Tree to buy peanuts in the shell and ginger snap cookies for my client's goats and sheep. The shelves are usually stocked where I can buy 3-10 bags of each at a time. Prices of course are cheap, the animals love the treats and the customer service is always friendly, helpful and I get a thank you for coming in.

It's not that big of a dollar store. They don't have as much as other dollar stores. Only one cashier was open and the customers in front of me kept asking for balloons so it was a bit of a wait in line. They are located right by Party City.

This is a new location and took over what was previously Pier 1, the home good store. I came to look for some stickers. Every location I've gone to has only ever had ONE cashier working so there's always a long line. They had two cashiers and while in line for one, she decides to close down and redirects us to the other cashier and here I am standing in another long line.

This is the lady on the right who was super rude and did not let us in and the people behind me.

This time, I headed straight to the home goods section while my wife went to the clothing section, as we always do. Almost immediately, I found a set of large work gloves I needed at a significantly reduced price. I also came across a set of cast-iron cookware and a few cast-iron frying pans at prices that caught my attention. However, after considering them for a minute or two, I decided not to purchase them because of their heavy weight and the challenges that poses when it comes to washing. My wife found a couple of tops she liked, and we headed for the cashier. For some reason, only one of the two registers was open, and because it was closing time, everyone was lined up to pay, which took a while. Other than that, it was a productive visit.

Both times I've been here same two guys working both very friendly and work hard to get you the items you won. I recently won a massage chair that was sealed and paid 1/3 of the retail price and it works perfectly. Info they posted about chair was very helpful and accurate. Recently they have been posting boxes full of packaged food and candy. I bought two boxes full of gum and candy and it would be really nice if they took a few pics of the expiration date. My two boxes had about 20 different items and could have took pics of the items still in code there were 3 types of candy that were. Most boxes only have 1 or a few items and for those seeing that date would be very helpful. I'm guessing almost everything the code has expired but still nice to know if it expired last month or 3 yrs ago.

There are several BidRL locations in the Sacramento area but this is the one I frequent the most. I first heard about BidRL many years ago when picking up an outdoor umbrella stand from a seller on Facebook Marketplace. I commented to her that I saw a lot of the same umbrella stands for sale by several other sellers. She nodded knowingly and then said, "BidRL." I remember taking a peek at the website at the time but being too busy to shop/scroll. Fast forward many years later and I've come to discover (here's a secret, Yelpers!) that you can save tons of money shopping on BidRL. (You only come to this location after you've won the item auction). There are no returns so bid carefully. I'm pretty amazed at how much some items are bid up to (like Dyson vacuums, robot vacuums, appliances, etc) because I wouldn't want to risk a huge amount of money on the item, but perhaps those bidders have come to the location, previewed the item to make sure it works, and then bid. Basically they're a liquidation company that gets pallets of Amazon, Costco, Target and other company's returns or discontinued items. You know when you buy something at Amazon, Target or Costco and then change your mind and return it? The store doesn't put it back on the shelf--they just liquidate it and send it to companies like this to do as they please with it. Some of their stock goes to BidRL (online bidding), some go to their That's Cheap stores and some go to their Falling Prices stores (which are awesome also, but just super crowded). I'm not sure how they decide which items go where but sometimes I'll see the same items at BidRL and Falling Prices. Sometimes the items are brand new and sealed. Sometimes they're opened like a pack of socks and missing a pair. Sometimes it'll be a piece of furniture that the customer returns because one piece of wood has a dent. You never know. But this location is pretty good at taking photos of multiple angles and disclosing potential flaws (that they notice at a cursory glance, since they don't spend too long on each item). You'll notice some items on their website say "Pieces may be missing!" I like the fair warning. :) But if you get the item at a low price, often you can get replacement pieces at your local Home Depot or Lowe's. They are closed Sunday and Monday and have strict rules about picking up items before deadlines. Over the last few years, I've gotten some really nice items, and also some broken items. Fortunately I don't pay a lot for each item, so I don't feel so bad if I just have to toss it. My in-laws just moved into a new house and I was able to furnish a couple bedrooms with brand new items I got on BidRL. They were pretty amazed at the prices!
