This was my first time going inside a Five Below store, and this location was so nice! So many cool affordable gifts for kids. They had lots of different, popular brands such as Disney, Hello Kitty, Lilo and Stitch, and Wicked. This location was very clean and organized. Need better costumer service. My mom went to this location Friday, after making her purchase her receipt didn't print. She wasn't sure if it went through but the worker said no I didn't try again. Same issue. My mom checked her back account& was charged twice. So brought it to the "manager attention & all she can say was the machine wasn't working & she needs to call her bank to dispute a charge. The manager was being very rude & my mom asked if she can write somthing out saying she paid for the items just incase it doesn't work. She said no. My mom asked for her name & she refused to give it out. She told my mom she can contact corporate. After my mom left I called the store acting like I was applying at the store to speak to the supervisor. She fell for the trick & I got her name. She said she was the GM manager Kristin. I told her thank you Kristin I needed it for corporate. I address the situation of her being very rude, she said like she told my mom, take it to corporate. I called the next morning to speak to another manager about the situation, 1 of the girls said theirs no manager on site. I called another location to see if they share managers, the manager said yes & also said there is a manager on that location today. I went to the location & yes there was a manager. The employee lie & I brought both situations now to him. He was very helpful, very remorseful. He seemed very upset with the employees & knew exactly who I was talking about the day before & thr morning of that lied saying the manager wasn't there. Kristin if you're really a manager, take notes on how to be a better manager to your customers. Me & my mom always shop at this location, we will not anymore. My daughter loves this store! We came here today for some back to school supplies. The cashier was so friendly and greeted us with a friendly smile. They also have a good selection of animals supplies. I've gotten plenty of cat scratching polls for far cheaper than any store and my cats go crazy for them! read more

It's been years since I've been to a Five Below (I think even before my Yelping days) and I forgot how fun this kind of place is. I mean, not fun in an amusement-park kind of way, but more like my past high school self would have loved this place lol. Like 1/3 of the place is filled with candy in colorful packaging. In the back corner there are graphic tees reminiscent to those at Hot Topic (the screen printing even seems a bit better here). There are also other clothes that are of Forever 21 fashion. Another large part of the store is dedicated to trendy tech stuff. Can't really comment on the quality of the items in this section, but wouldn't be surprised if it's in the same vein of "you get what you pay for." Bargain-wise, everything here is, or at least should be, $5-ish or below (hence the store name), but overall I think the prices are a tad higher here than at Dollar Tree (comparing just the $1-ish items in sizing between the two of course). Still, this store is very inviting; actually clean and brightly-lit compared to the Dollar Trees that I've visited. My friends and I would have loved hanging out here during our high school days lol. read more

The first time entering this store for an order pick up, even though we have been this plaza so many times (for Journey of the dumplings). As soon as I entered, I can totally see this place is like a kid's heaven. So many selections at different good price. All the hyped kids stuff like Sanrio, Ninja turtle, squash-mallow, Harry Potter to name a few. The check out is self checked out with a very nice clerk ready to help if needed. Parents felt safe to left their kids alone with an order of you can pick one of price $x. A wall of candies and snacks near the checkout. The back of the store has tech and pets stuff. The left of the store is make up and stuff. There is also a wall of $1 stuff and I got some really cute rubber ducks. I will definitely return if I am in the area! read more

Five below is a hodgepodge of items that are sold around $5, most however are less than $5. There are some brand names but most are off brand which isn't a bad thing for those looking for basic function vs. extras or luxury. There are several sections including Seasonal, Arts, Games, Sports, Tech (cables, power, cases, headphones, etc.), Posters, Clothing, Cosmetics, Snacks, Chocolates, Drinks, Books, etc. I do like Five Below better than other non-organized affordable stores. They are 3.5 stars but I'm feeling generous today and will round up to 4. Check them out at least once. Check out was through self-checkout and the best part of the experience was the rolling basket with a long handle. Room for improvement: More items, there were several rows that were just bare. Please add more items vs. just spreading out the same items or leaving them blank. read more

I was a bit iffy about this store opening up, but I was actually impressed at how much they offer here! The name is a little deceiving since their items actually range from $1-$10. The store has aisles broken into several main areas: children's toys/games/books, fitness, home, clothing, electronics, makeup, food/snacks. Some items are probably a little sketchy from a discount store, like the $5 headphones or the $5 penny skateboards, but there is actually a lot of other nice stuff here! I'd definitely come here for storage items, office/art supplies, kids games and coloring books, and snacks. They also have a big selection of travel size items across two aisles that would be perfect for trips! They have several self-checkout stations for quick and easy checkout. I don't think I even saw any non-self checkout stations but there are staff walking around everywhere cleaning up and straightening out shelves so it's easy to get someone's help if you need. read more

If I could give a zero or even a negative number of stars I would. The employees here are rude, bar none. They're disgusting and not to mention racist. This is not the first time we've complained about this place. When the district manager tried to make it right, the employees here intentionally ruined the toy set aside for us. When we let the DM know she said it was in perfect condition when she gave it to them for us to pick up. It's definitely not ok now. The DM has no control over this store nor the employees and it is extremely evident. Don't give this place your business. read more

I came here twice within two weeks.. since I never heard of this place until my cousins brought me. There first time was great...the second time...I was a bit disappointed because they had a limit on slime lickers. One per customer. There were three of us.. and we could have been easily each been a paying customer but the young lady there was not having it.. that was unfortunate. Though, This place was nice and clean. Surprisingly it wasn't crowded either. It seemed as though they needed to stock up though as there were many empty shelves. They had a variety of iPhone cases if you are in search for one. This is not your typical dollar store...it's so much better! I was in on their soft opening night and then once again after their grand opening and both times the employees were very professional and organized. The store is fairly big and they have all sorts of things! I love how it's organized by section like beauty, housing, pets, etc. You can easily find something to purchase. Hahah, they have great summer toys like yard games and pool accessories. They also have lots of crafting items like canvases and paint. I found myself in the game board aisle and bought a few to bring home for family game night. The name can be a bit misleading because they do have a back corner with items like electronics and home goods that can range from $5-$10+ so just be sure to keep an eye out for the prices of your items. The checkout process is also quick and easy. They only have self check out stations, but they do have people available for help if necessary. I'm so glad theres a five and below in town, now I don't have to drive to Marconi. LOL read more

I prejudged this place. I was thinking that it was gonna be the dollar store on steroids....possibly unorganized junk for sale but to my surprise it wasn't. Five Below was organized and easy to see what they all had. It was was dollar storeish but Walmart adjacent. Still not a store I'd shop at regularly for a lot of items but they had a book section that I loved. Most of the books were $5 and they had fairly current books! You'll find extreme $1-$5 value. Name could be construed as misleading as there are items above $5. But there are some incredible finds that go beyond $5 at the Laguna Crossroads store. Beauty, balls, clothes, collectibles, exercise, fitness, decor, etc. Great store for tweens and teens for a color-popping, music pumping, super-fun shopping experience. We were shopping for our Grandchildren and were quite overwhelmed with how busy this store was with Holiday shoppers. Employee Gorge took the time to assist us in choosing games and age appropraiate items for our 9 and 12 year old Grands. He ushered us to the check out and even provided a big bag for all our purchases! He is definitely an asset to this Elk Grove store (in the Target Shopping Center). read more

Plenty of parking in the shared lot. Not too busy in the afternoon on a weekday. Clean interior. No sanitizer, and the staff do not wear masks. The t-shirt area was a little messy, and most of the good designs weren't in stock. I checked online the night before and saw some blind bags/boxes that should have been in stock at this location, but there were none when I arrived. Supposedly, there are supposed to be Sanrio products in stores, but I didn't see anything aside from some stickers. read more

I went here to take a look around and found this is a cool place. I got some toys to put aside for Christmas stuffers. I was told that their merchandise are changing all the time. So some items may not show up again and replaced by new items. That's nothing to complain about but to actually look forward to new items. I even got a a lot of stuff animals to add personalized names with Embroidery for my nieces/nephews and for any little child's future birthdays. I like doing that kind of stuff. I had high expectations based on the previous reviews. I have never been to a Five Below since none in my area. Had to come to Elk Grove and decided to stop by. Store is brand new, so maybe still working out the kinks? Shelves empty. No home decor. Out of stock already? Walked towards the shirts and felt something wet on my feet. Someone had dropped some type of cleaner and created a big puddle with various trails. Had to alert an employee who seemed to know about the issue but said she could not leave her post at the register. Customers had to wear masks to enter but many had masks down once inside. It's pretty decent for a discount store. Not everything is $5 and below though. Some items I thought were a little overpriced like the $5 hot wheels that I've seen cheaper at Walmart. They do have a really nice selection of items like kid's toys, yoga mats, art supplies and more. I went during their grand opening and it was ultra busy. They had some nice graphic tees that I wouldn't mind purchasing but I think I'll come back on a day where they aren't so busy. read more

Dom was very friendly and polite in assisting us with finding a specific toy that my kids begged me for. The store is very clean and organized and we always saw employees straightening up and folding clothes. Reorganizing the shelves.
