We've been stopping by Dolle's for decades and their selection and excellent quality have never varied. We loved the chocolate maple creams, orange creams, and raspberry creams in both milk and dark chocolate varieties as well as their chocolate covered toffees and their fudge. The caramel corn is so light and delicious. The staff at this location work their butts off when the store fills up with customers in the evening. The candies make such a lovely after dinner sweet and we bought five or so pieces at a time to eat them when fresh. So yummy! read more

This Dolle's is super! I really enjoy their Peppermint and Peanut Butter Taffy. I first got Dolle's over a year ago, and it was just perfect. But then one time I got some peppermint taffies and they were spearmint, not peppermint, but they still had a red line, not a green one. I was kind of upset about that, but I think it was just an accident. I haven't gone too many times since, but the last time I went to Dolle's, however, the taffies were really hard and the Peanut Butter Kiss Taffies tasted very weird and dusty, so bad that I spit it out and got rid of the rest. I think it's just a hit or miss though. I really like the old candy store vibe, and it smells really good and sweet in there. Nonetheless, I really like this store and I definitely recommend stopping by sometime! read more

Great candy store! The taffy is great, but inconsistent. The peanut butter chocolate flavor varies greatly in taste depending on how much peanut butter is inside. They are oddly not uniform?! Love the untraditional tubular shape instead of the usual chunks you get everywhere else. Highly recommend trying it! read more

I've never had peanut caramel popcorn. I had a sample and I got a small tub. The popcorn was warm and had roasted peanuts. Very addicting. The Chicago style popcorn was also my favorite, perfect combination of sweet and salty. The caramel wasn't overwhelmingly sweet. read more

Literally a landmark at the Delaware shore it is the first shop you encounter as you come off the boardwalk and they sell fine chocolate, flavored popcorn and saltwater taffy. The store comes across as very clean and tidy, almost putting it at odds with the town outside their door but it gives a feeling of quality. So why did I give this only 3 stars? Cost. Yes, I know fine chocolates are expensive but the cheapest they have for popcorn is $11 and they can't say it's the ingredients because it is the same cost no matter what style you get. So, there is the vague feeling of getting taken just because it's a holiday spot and this can slightly sour the experience. read more

So this is one of those tourist traps that's worth visiting. As a child, my parents would always bring boxes of taffy home and tons of sweets. However through the years I would always go to their competitors CK... and this time I was like, its time to revisit this place. I love their fudge is amazing like 10x better than the Amish markets. I love their caramel popcorn too. Always great customer service. My trip to Rehoboth is never complete until I snag a bucket of Caramel Corn for my grandparents and today was no exception! I got the medium size bucket which runs about $8.50, but you can also get your salt water taffy and regular popcorn fix here as well. Oh yum. So yum. My BF went in all opposed to salt water taffy. Apparently, the West Coast salt water taffy he experienced was some serious ick. But I went in with glorious childhood memories of East Coast salt water taffy. So almost immediately after setting foot on the boardwalk, we headed into this shop. You could tell they had just opened. They were still putting out all the taffy baskets. So many flavors to choose from! Thankfully, you can create your own bag. So I went about gathering two of each kind (yes, like Noah's Ark). And I wound up with a wonderous mix tasty salt water taffy - and for less than $3! From molasses to pina colada to lemon to strawberry. Every piece was perfection in my mouth. And my BF is now officially a fan of salt water taffy. I have never, ever, left Rehoboth Beach without a trip to Dolle's. EVER! I love taffy (ask my dentist!) and this place makes some of the best. You even have a choice of the classic "candy-shaped" taffy, or the long taffy. There are other sweet treats in there as well, but no one does taffy better than Dolle's! The shop offers upwards of 20 flavors; some classic, other a bit daring (I think they had some kind of spicy taffy when I was there last). I like the chocolate and the chocolate peanut butter flavors myself, but feel free to try them all and pick your favorite. The prices are reasonable and there's bound to be something for everyone. We visited Dolles Fudge on the Rehobeach Beach Boardwalk when we visited Rehboth Beach, DE in April 2017. They have a large selection of fudge, as well as other sweet candies, such as toffees. The service was also excellent - the person working there was very friendly and chatted with us and was interested in knowing where we were visiting from and how long we'd been married. It was very friendly and pleasant. I got vanilla fudge. While I liked the texture of the fudge, I didn't love the taste, for some reason. I think I may have just gotten a bad piece of fudge, so I would definitely still love to visit Dolles' Fudge / Candyland in the future whenever I visit Rehoboth Beach, DE again. read more

My father's from Rehoboth so every couple of years, we all come up here for a week or so and this might be one of my favorite places to go. I know being in the middle of Covid and people visiting from out of town you would expect some gratitude to only get treated like utter crap by extremely rude people that make it a point to treat you like dirt. This is the taste of my childhood summers vacationing here at my grandparents beach cottage in Rehobeth... where every day was better than the last. My mom loves her taffy. I can't eat it anymore -- I've got too much expensive dental work in me teeth. So I got her some kiss taffy (weirdly $2 cheaper than the long kind). And I got me a huge bag of freshly-popped popcorn which was quite tasty and good. And literally lasted the rest of the trip. There are different prices for popcorn, depending on which flavor you order. Why? I don't know. This place is not quite the corporate conglomerate that Candy Kitchen is. While visiting Rehoboth Beach with the family, my wife asks me to get her some salt water taffy, so where else is there to go but Dolle's Candyland. Upon going in, there is a HUGE selection of all types of candy and snacks (salt water taffy, fudge, caramel corn). When i go looking for the salt water taffy, i'm thinking... ok, i'll just find a box that has assorted flavors and i'll be out. Little did i know, there was a whole wall dedicated to salt water taffy and i could create my own bag. There was a HUGE selection of flavors to choose from. So instead of just getting a box, i ended up getting her over 2 lbs of salt water taffy with a bit of each flavor. Believe you me, she was surprised and excited! They have the best peanut butter taffy. Too bad they never have it. The 3rd time in a row that they were out of it, I said something. The guy said that couldn't be possible and that it was rare that they were out of it. I am now up to 5 times in a row when they were out of it. They try to send you around the corner onto the boardwalk into a store where you scoop out your own. It isn't any less expensive and you want me to do the work? The caramel corn is good. Coming here is a must every time I come to rehoboth. I always pick up some fudge to snack on and take home. I got the chocolate pecan fudge, maple walnut, and chocolate marshmallow. Nice location just off the beach. Glad to get several pounds of salt water taffy to bring home from vacation. Taffy is fresh, good genuine flavors, good variety, price is a bit high, but not a bad value for the address. Tough part, the taffy pieces in the two boxes I bought are tiny. Lots of wax paper, lots of effort, to get little niblets of flavor. Most places, three big taffy bites is a snack. Here ten brief pieces and one piece is gone before you have the next one unwrapped. Double sized, the'd still be on the puny side. Saved by the quality, I'd have been mad if it were lackluster taste for all the work. read more

Let me say the taffy is great and I always stop in. However the workers there at the time I was definitely leave something to be desired. The two women working there were downright rude. Speaking in Russian and then pretty much making fun of me when I was paying for the taffy. I heard her tell me the cost so I took out what I thought was the correct change to avoid pennies. When she gave me back the pennies she told me a different total. And the turned to her friend and grinned. My comment to her as I left was that you don't laugh at the customer when they are still in the store. I will think twice about returning if those 2 are still working there. read more
