Both the Maryland Crab (my favorite) and Cream of Crab (my boyfriend's favorite) soup were great. The steamed shrimp with old bay as an app were great according to my kiddo and boyfriend (I am personally not a fan of shrimp cooked this way or a lot of old bay usually). The scallops with crab imperial were fantastic according to my boyfriend. While I am not usually a scallop fan, I too thought they were pretty great. My steak was actually cooked pretty close to correct (medium-rare) so that was a huge plus. Baked potato was very tender yet not overdone!! Also had the lobster and that was very very good. Highly recommend for someone who is new to the seafood world. My daughter's snow crab legs were cooked just right and well-sized. Chicken was slightly overcooked. Pasta salad was a big thumbs up for her. My boyfriend's crab cakes were above average. We all had their famous hushpuppies, they were wayyyyyyy better than Long John Silvers that is for sure!! The first time we were here service was just a tad slow, but then on the next visit (which it was weirdly a lot busier) we had phenomenal service... We stopped into meet friends for dinner. Thought we would order at the bar while we waited, as we were not allowed to be seated unless the whole party was there. Even though the restaurant was empty... We sat at the bar. I don't drink, so I ordered a water with lemon and an appetizer. The bartender looked at me, quite menacing, and walked away. Quick service. We had a large party and we were able to be seated right away. The servers are really nice. They check on you often. They brought out a pitcher of their pink lemonade. The lemonade is good. Really sweet but good. Restaurant is nice and clean. I ordered the crab soup, house salad and crab cakes. All were great. Loved the flavors. The salad was even really good. I had nothing bad to say. I did have to ask for the soup after they brought the food because they forgot the soup and they forgot someone's broccoli. Everyone else's food looked really good also. We placed an order for pickup online. From the looks of the outside, it looked pretty busy inside. Our food was ready pretty quickly and was still nice and hot when we got it back to the hotel. We ordered the Crab Cake Platter - 2 Crab Cakes with fries and potato salad and the Fried Shrimp basket. The crabs were by far the BEST Maryland blue carbs I have EVER had. As a Marylander, I have to admit I'm not a huge old bay fan but even so... this was incredible. So thick and meaty and just amazing. The AYCE also comes with steamed shrimp, corn, hush puppies, and fried chicken. We also ordered calamari which were also amazing! The cream of crab wasn't my favorite ... it was a bit bland. Great place for a family dinner at the beach! Tons of atmosphere, free parking and convenient to Route 50. We went off-season on a Wednesday night, and there was no wait even though we had a party of six adults and two children. Our waitress was awesome. Everyone enjoyed their meals and the portion sizes were very large. I got the special which was stuffed grouper, it had crab imperial on top of blackened grouper, and it was delicious. I also got a loaded baked potato, which was very good. My husband got the broiled seafood platter and enjoyed it very much. And my sister-in-law got the two crabcake platter and really loved it. I rarely write reviews but for Waterman's seafood I had to. Our family was there on first weekend of Feb during cheer competition. My son loves seafood so we tried here for the first night. We had softshell crab sandwich, oysters, Jumbo crabs, calamaries and etc. Food was good and oysters were fresh. Crabs were REALLY good. One out of the six jumbo crab was much smaller but we were at the end of the meal so I didn't say anything. Our server was Debbie and she was outstanding. She was very attentive. When I realized that I made a mistake on our order, she went above and beyond to make sure she could get us what we wanted! Since it was my mistake initially, I wasn't expecting much but she made extra efforts to check on the order, checking with the kitchen staff & manager to see if the order can be changed, and updated me while this was going on. Went to carry out market. Got hit over the head for 1 pound of Jumbo Lump crab meat. $45. And this is what they pass off as jumbo lump. Just not right to charge these prices and not give people what they are paying for. Not looking for pasteurized imported colossal meat, but it should at least be mostly back fin lumps. This is a few lumps and a lot of shreds. I should have took it back. It's not in me to do that. To top it off it had zero sweetness or flavor and plenty of shells :( next to it in case was regular meat and was epicure brand which I know. This wasn't same brand. This is Mary Ellen brand ? We stopped there on the way to Ocean City. We guessed it would be better food and less expensive since it was closer to the fishing boats and not located on the barrier island. Wrong on both counts. Lunch including tax and tip, with no alcohol, was nearly $100. The seafood was small portions, soggy and greasy. Neither of us finished our lunch and did not bother to take the leftovers with us. Worst was the crab cakes, which dripped with grease when picked up with my fork.
