Great laid back atmosphere. Good food. Large portions. Great wait staff very friendly. It's definitely a must if you are in West Ocean City. The Stuffed Flounder was absolutely delicious!

I've been coming here since the 80's to eat crabs. Very traditional large gathering place in West Ocean City. I had a dozen medium and large crabs for $66. A little high but I was quoted as much as $90 other places. The crabs were first rate. Came out hot! Served with melted butter, vinegar and extra old bay. I was in heaven. My sister had a one lb. Lobster and shrimp. Perfectly cooked and meaty! Very nice down to earth server.

My family visited this restaurant twice during our recent trip to Ocean City, Maryland. It was that good. Our first visit was during their lunch time. I ordered the stuffed lobster tail and was not disappointed. The seafood was tender and full of flavor. I ordered the stuffed lobster based on a recommendation from our server, who was so nice. I am glad that I listened to her advice. Everyone in my party loved their meals. So much so, that we went back two days later. Ha! We sat upstairs during our second visit. The server in that area was very attentive. The food, was again, delicious. Waterman's Seafood does not disappoint.

Quick service. We had a large party and we were able to be seated right away. The servers are really nice. They check on you often. They brought out a pitcher of their pink lemonade. The lemonade is good. Really sweet but good. Restaurant is nice and clean. I ordered the crab soup, house salad and crab cakes. All were great. Loved the flavors. The salad was even really good. I had nothing bad to say. I did have to ask for the soup after they brought the food because they forgot the soup and they forgot someone's broccoli. Everyone else's food looked really good also. They have some really good options. They even have a crab meal on the kids menu. My children loved it but the shrimp were a little to spicy for them. The overall experience was good. My son had a birthday and they offered to bring him a dessert out. They even sang happy birthday to him.

We came here in the recommendation from a local store worker. We got here during a rush but seated within the time quoted for the wait. Our server made a few recommendations and we ordered. The place was laid back and they seemed to have some frequent customers there, which always means the food is good. Our food came out in a reasonable time during a rush, and it was good. The crab cakes and shrimp were the highlight of my meal, both seasoned really well. The fish was really good too. It is worth a visit if your intentions the area.

Delicious, authentic seafood in the DE/MD area. I recommend anything with crab in it since it is in MD! The service was great and our server was efficient and attentive. It was calm and relaxed, with a nice boat theme. There was plenty of seating but they were very busy throughout the entire restaurant. We had a reservation, so we did not have to wait. I'm not sure how long the wait would have been.

Absolutely pleasant meal for my first time. I'm shouting out my server Cassidy, & then some.. everyone was friendly, & the food was tasty. Restaurants on the pricier side but you get a hefty amount of food & the quality of the food (considering how fast everything arrived) was on point. I was flabbergasted when she set the plate of hush puppies down. $11 at first seemed high for fried cornmeal & I was pleasantly surprised by the portion.

Very nice Happy Hour that runs from 3-6PM daily in the bar area. We had two of the 1/2 pounds of shrimp and the King of Crab pieces. Good, friendly service. An upscale crab house atmosphere.

We placed an order for pickup online. From the looks of the outside, it looked pretty busy inside. Our food was ready pretty quickly and was still nice and hot when we got it back to the hotel. We ordered the Crab Cake Platter - 2 Crab Cakes with fries and potato salad and the Fried Shrimp basket. The crab cakes were so delicious... probably the best I've ever tasted and I've had my share plenty! No fillers, just pure crab seasoned to perfection. Sooooo good and great size too. The shrimp basket was huge! Tons of crispy fried shrimp plenty to share. Really good too! We will definitely be coming back here once we vaca in OC again!

The food was great and you get a lot for your money. I had the seafood combos everything was very fresh. Drinks were good and service was very excellent. Decorated perfect for a seafood restaurant.

"Baby Ruths and Blue Crabs: a Maryland treasure"…read more Tucked just off the beaten path in southern Maryland sits a true hidden gem of a crab shack -- the kind of place where GPS starts to doubt itself but your nose knows you're close when you catch that glorious whiff of Old Bay and salt air. I ordered several dozen male blue crabs, and the gentleman running the shop steamed them fresh while I waited. He couldn't have been kinder or more helpful -- walking my Yankee self through the local crab routine like a patient professor of Maryland seafood. I even picked up paper and mallets for future crab feasts, because once you start cracking shells, there's no going back. The crabs came out piping hot, juicy, and unbelievably sweet -- some of the best I've ever had, maybe the best. They were just as delicious cold later on, and I had plenty to share (though sharing was optional). The fresh air off the water, the sunshine, and the friendly folks waiting on their own orders made the whole experience feel like a snapshot of authentic coastal life. Before I left, I remembered I had a stash of Baby Ruth candy bars in my trunk -- so naturally, I handed a few out to the kind man steaming the crabs and some fellow customers waiting for their orders. Nothing says "Southern hospitality meets Northern charm" quite like fresh crabs and surprise candy. This isn't a sit-down spot -- it's a genuine crab-to-go shack, and that's exactly its charm. Bring your own cooler if you plan to take a bunch home, because you'll absolutely want to. No frills, no fuss -- just pure Maryland magic by the dozen.

We ordered the seafood combo that included six hard-shell crabs, three pounds of snow crab legs, a half-pound of shrimp, corn, and hush puppies. The hard-shell crabs were decent, although they seemed slightly oversteamed. The meat in the legs was practically fused to the shell, making them difficult to eat. The snow crab legs were good, but the shrimp were noticeably undercooked, which made peeling them nearly impossible. There were a few bright spots. The beer was reasonably priced at $4.50 a pint, and the hush puppies were excellent--arguably the best part of the entire meal. The corn, however, was tough and seemed past its prime. For the roughly $145 we spent on the combo, I expected a better overall dining experience. Sadly, this seems to be the standard at many seafood restaurants these days: higher prices without a corresponding increase in quality. And while it's a minor issue compared to the food, the deck seating chairs were surprisingly uncomfortable and felt out of place for a restaurant charging these prices. Overall, the meal wasn't terrible, but it fell well short of expectations given the cost.
