Both the Maryland Crab (my favorite) and Cream of Crab (my boyfriend's favorite) soup were great. The steamed shrimp with old bay as an app were great according to my kiddo and boyfriend (I am personally not a fan of shrimp cooked this way or a lot of old bay usually). The scallops with crab imperial were fantastic according to my boyfriend. While I am not usually a scallop fan, I too thought they were pretty great. My steak was actually cooked pretty close to correct (medium-rare) so that was a huge plus. Baked potato was very tender yet not overdone!! Also had the lobster and that was very very good. Highly recommend for someone who is new to the seafood world. My daughter's snow crab legs were cooked just right and well-sized. Chicken was slightly overcooked. Pasta salad was a big thumbs up for her. My boyfriend's crab cakes were above average. We all had their famous hushpuppies, they were wayyyyyyy better than Long John Silvers that is for sure!! I've been coming here since the 80's to eat crabs. Very traditional large gathering place in West Ocean City. I had a dozen medium and large crabs for $66. Quick service. We had a large party and we were able to be seated right away. The servers are really nice. They check on you often. They brought out a pitcher of their pink lemonade. The lemonade is good. Really sweet but good. Restaurant is nice and clean. I ordered the crab soup, house salad and crab cakes. All were great. Loved the flavors. The salad was even really good. I had nothing bad to say. I did have to ask for the soup after they brought the food because they forgot the soup and they forgot someone's broccoli. Everyone else's food looked really good also. The crabs were by far the BEST Maryland blue carbs I have EVER had. As a Marylander, I have to admit I'm not a huge old bay fan but even so... this was incredible. The cream of crab wasn't my favorite ... it was a bit bland. Great place for a family dinner at the beach! Tons of atmosphere, free parking and convenient to Route 50. We went off-season on a Wednesday night, and there was no wait even though we had a party of six adults and two children. Our waitress was awesome. Everyone enjoyed their meals and the portion sizes were very large. I got the special which was stuffed grouper, it had crab imperial on top of blackened grouper, and it was delicious. I also got a loaded baked potato, which was very good. My husband got the broiled seafood platter and enjoyed it very much. And my sister-in-law got the two crabcake platter and really loved it. Just not right to charge these prices and not give people what they are paying for. Not looking for pasteurized imported colossal meat, but it should at least be mostly back fin lumps. This is a few lumps and a lot of shreds. I should have took it back. It's not in me to do that. We came here for Happy Hour and the lot was already packed at 4PM on a Wednesday (in the off season, no less). The building itself definitely looks to be updated and well kept with a nice decorated entrance before the waiting area. For Happy Hour, We sat in the bar area and the bartender took our drink orders. The drinks were good; my grandmother had an orange crush and I had a rum punch (regular price). Both drinks were well mixed and had a decent punch to them. We ordered some large neck clams and steamed shrimp. Our clams came out in a timely manner but we waited a long time for the shrimp. When they came out, I suspected they had been sitting for awhile since they were no longer hot and they were hard to peel so they weren't quite as good as I was expecting. We ordered a round of little neck clams and hush puppies as well and didn't finish the hush puppies. At the end, a bunch of people came to the bar area and it took a bit to get our check. The bartender was great; she was just a bit overwhelmed at that point. The food was okay for happy hour pricing though although I don't know if I'd be back for full price.
