Chyna is very unprofessional!! I ordered several shades of lipstick from the dollhouse website 4 months ago and never received my order!!! When I reached out to Chyna, she told me there was a mixup with my order and everday she would tell me " I will send your order out today." It has been four months and I NEVER RECEIVED MY ORDER OR A REFUND!!! Chyna ignores all my emails and they NEVER answer the office phone. I actually had to file a claim with my bank 3 days ago to get my money back. My bank is also looking into taking legal action. Chyna is such a joke!!! BEWARE I wish it was possible to give a company zero stars because that is truly what they deserve. I placed my order in August and never received my order. I ordered a highlighter and lipgloss in the shade nude I contacted the company which was a struggle considering their telephone number was out of order. I emailed them regarding the issue and they sent me a tracking number. I was relieved until my package came and they only sent a lipgloss and not the highlighter that I ordered. The lipgloss they sent was not even the shade I ordered instead they sent me bare. It would have been professional for them to contact me first that the items I ordered went out of stock and ask if I wanted a different shade instead of just sending me a shade (that I did not want) So I contacted them again but they only gave me the run around. Excuse after excuse after excuse. They made so many promises that they couldn't keep. Every time I contacted them they would say they would send my package out that week but never did. I threatened to open a claim against them and they asked me not to, instead to do the refund through them. I read a review that they gave back refunds through money grams instead of through the original form of payment. And I'm that review the lady said she had to wait a long time for her review. I opened up a claim with PayPal to avoid having the same issue as the lady. After I opened the claim, dollhouse cosmetics ignored all my emails and any attempts to contact them. SO UNPROFESSIONAL PayPal asked for a tracking number from them for my new package with my correct order. They thought they were smart when they sent PayPal the tracking number that they sent me previously with only the wrong shade of lipgloss in it. I went here for a makeup class yesterday for $50 and it was very informative and i laughed a lot along they way. they served champagne and had snacks. Chyna was very down to earth and she spoke to you as if you were best friends. I also received a free gift bag of dollhouse cosmetics and I also purchased a few things. It took months to book because they do not respond to emails they ask you to send. I had to go to the store in person to put a deposit for me wedding day 4 months in advance. They then asked me for 400 more the night before my wedding via text message at 11:30pm. Thank God I had an MUA backup since they were so unreliable when it came to contacting me. The week before the appointment I called to confirm the time of my appointment and was told that my appointment could not be found. I was also told that I could not be given the original time my appointment was scheduled for because a makeup class was scheduled this day. I wish I can give her zero stars. I orginally booked her for my wedding with a bridal party size of 11 people. After months went by some people decided to go else where because it was too expensive! Long story short, 9 people ended up getting their makeup done. The few weeks leading up to my wedding I kept emailing her to get the new up to date contract, and it would take days for her to respond. I was only allowed access to the wedding venue 2 and a half hours before my wedding. I emailed her to let her know to have the makeup artists arrive by 3pm and she never responded! I had to call the store the day before my wedding and her employee called her to see what was going on! I arrived at the venue to only one makeup artist! One makeup artist for 9 people???? I emailed her and she said "why would I need two makeup artist for 9 people?" She also said, "I kept changing the size of my bridal party and that is why I only got one makeup artist." I walked out late, my bridesmaids barely looked like they had any makeup on, her mink lashes came in a $5.99 package, and I never got my free lip gloss. It's taken me a while to write this but I wanted to write a review with a cool head . I scheduled an early morning appointment for the day of my bridal shower. I came from Suffolk county got my hair done in Brooklyn and scheduled my makeup appointment 4 hours before my shower . I arrived a little early and the receptionist told me Chyna the owner was on her way from jersey and had been there late last night .Not my concern but nevertheless I waited. About an hour had passed leaving 3 hours till my shower. I asked if she could give the owner a call to which she obliged she stated she was in traffic and would be there in 30 minutes . 2.5 hours passed and several people who had appointments after me had left after getting tired of waiting for her . Unfortunately I wasn't familiar enough with the area to go elsewhere and I didn't have time to go back to Long Island and get my makeup done I was stuck! Fast forward 4 hours my shower had started I wasn't there . I was in the shop in tears I couldn't believe what was happening . I asked the receptionist to call her so I could speak to her and when she got her on the phone she refused to speak with me . As chance would have it one of the makeup artist happened to come in on their day off to pick up their check and saw me crying and offered to start my makeup. Half way through Chyna finally comes in with an attitude obviously upset then she gets upset that I'm upset and walks out . Never saw her again. My makeup came out great and I was 2 hours late to my own bridal shower . One of the worst experiences of my life . An apology would have been nice but still would not have excused what happened that day. Extremely unprofessional . I actually went to the shop to inquire about the delay, didnt receive any help and was told the items were shipped from a different location. Worst experience of my life!!! She almost ruined my wedding day years ago!!!! I would give Chyna no stars if I could! Luckily my maid of honor had a Mac makeup kit and did my makeup for my wedding. She didn't even show up at all!!! I confirmed two days before my wedding and said she will meet me at my location to do my makeup! I had booked with her about 2 months in advance and she even did my makeup for my bridal shower. The morning of my wedding I kept calling and calling but it went straight to voicemail and I left several voice and text messages. Unprofessional and unsanitary Chyna do not clean tools between customers and she uses the same lipgloss for all her customers and she uses the same lip liner without cleaning and lipgloss brush without cleaning for all her customers which is disgusting. DONT TRUST THIS ESTABLISHMENT!! I came here the end of June to purchase some make-up and to have my faced done, because I was going to Miami for my hubby's birthday week; Chyna did not do my make-up, but had her sister do my make-up while she sat at the front desk. The sister was a little cold with 1 word conversations; while her sister was doing my make-up, Chyna and I engaged in conversation about my vacation to Miami and I told her I was just getting into wearing make-up. She seem to be nice, giving me pointers on how to wear make-up during summer time heat. Although, I felt Chyna's sister was a little cold, she did a good job with my make-up. When I went to pay, and decided to purchase the make-up kit that she sells; at that time, they didn't have all of the products, but told me that they were getting a shipment that Thursday before I left for my trip; so I took my chances and paid for everything, thinking I can just pick it up on Thursday. Of course I went to the store on Thursday, and was told the shipment had not come in. I was so disappointed because I was leaving for my trip in 2 days; when I returned from trip, I contacted Chyna, to see about my order and you wouldn't believe after a whole week she tells me that they didn't receive the shipment yet, and that she will give me a goodie bag to makeup for everything. I called the next week about my order and learned that the shop was closed; I have been trying to contact this woman for months and all I get is back and forth emails. I'm mad at myself for trusting this woman, because I was trying to support this young lady and I feel she played me. I could have taken this further, but I didn't. Since Black Friday, I have been in contact with Chyna but she has done nothing except given me poor excuses (way too many write) about when I would receive a refund AND my products. She even went as far to send me a picture of an addressed usps box to make me think the package was being sent but she could never produce a tracking number. Anyway, I finally received a refund on JANUARY 12th which I had to inconveniently retrieve through moneygram, although I paid via PayPal. In addition, she would seem very frustrated as though I was doing something wrong to her. Most businesses would be apologetic and would rectify the situation as soon as possible. I have learned of other friends and customers who have encountered the same experience. One of my friends never received her products or a refund a year later. I almost feel as though she is a scam. She is very shady, unprofessional, and untrustworthy. Since there are so many customers being cheated and lied to by this woman, something needs to be done about this poor business. Ugh I swear I try to support young black entrepreneurs. I knew not to purchase online bc of reviews, figured i had a better chance going in person. I was excited to pick-up products only to arrive at BK store with gates closed 7pm sat. Meanwhile fb says open until 10pm. Following week I tried new West Orange shop, opened less than month ago. Inquired about flawless face kit, only had 1 foundation left that matched. No concealer or pressed powder. No hd powder. I asked to see the brow kit package as advertised on website and she didn't know what I was referring to until I showed her on my phone. Needless to say they didn't have that either. Her explanation was they needed to restock bc sales were booming. Okay I guess and that's great but where's my shit? I'm tired of hearing we ran out...my expectation is that the owner would understand her supply and demand by now and maintain sufficient inventory for clients.
