The first thing that caught my eye was the signage for some of the services that they provide. Prices seemed reasonable for what piqued my interest. Although it was closed I decided to take down the info. I'm always looking for a few hair/nail salons within my neighborhood. I've had many styles in my day from natural, braids, extensions, French roll, to a bun with bangs -- so it's safe to say I'm well versed when it comes to hair. I recently made an impulsive decision by cutting my hair short and dyeing it red. After three weeks I was over my cut and wanted my longer hair back. I came in as a walk-in and approached two people before I was directed to Gloria. We exchanged pleasantries and I explained to her what I wanted. It was about an hour wait because she just finished braiding up a lady. I guess we both were in cahoots because she wanted extensions as well. Gloria is no joke! She was kind, but not so gentle. Disclosure: I'm tender headed and sensitive. I told her it was too tight maybe three times throughout the ordeal. Braiding my hair is always a killer I think that's probably why my Mommy gave me my first perm at a young tender age. I thought I was in Harlem at an African salon getting micro braids. She asked me if it was too tight to let her know. Overall I'm over the moon pleased with the outcome. The salon is quaint and needs renovation. There's only two washing basins and four dryers. The bathroom is small. It's hard to wipe and not bang into anything. P.S. Human Hair Extensions are $100. Disregard the sign that says weaves are $79.99 unless you're using synthetic extensions.
