I wouldn't give any stars if I could. This company is literally the worst. I reserved movers for 11AM and kept getting updates about how they're going to be later and later. 3 hours after they were supposed to show up they cancelled on us. After speaking to customer service I can tell they don't care about what happened to us and had no solution on how to help. We reserved these movers a month in advanced and have to be out of our apartment by 11:59PM tonight so now we are scrambling trying to figure out what to do. Overall never book with them as they suck and don't know how to do their jobs. read more

Worst and scariest experience. Dolly Assistant showed up on time. The main Dolly driver with the truck showed up at 1:10pm. Our Dolly was scheduled for 12:00-12:30. We called him at 12:30 and he said he was 20 minutes away. Showed up 40 minutes later. We actually helped the assistant bring the washer and dryer out of the house and down the sidewalk. All the truck driver had to do was load it. We helped because a realtor was waiting at the drop off location and the dolly was an hour late. When they arrived at the drop off location the main driver had excuses blaming Dolly for him being late. When they moved the dryer in the back door the assistant was being careful and told main guy how to do it. Well he wasn't having anyone tell him what to do and he went berserk!!!! I got angry and cussed at him and said get out of the way I'll do it. Reminded him he's an hour late etc. he went off yelling and cussing and talking about being an American (not!). He was crazy yelling at the assistant and us. Our realtor was so scared she told her husband to get his gun out of his truck (TX conceal carry state) It was unbelievable. He was absolutely crazy and should not be allowed to do Dolly and we deserve a refund since we did more than half the work. I feel bad for the assistant as he did everything right. read more

DO NOT USE DOLLY. This was absolutely the WORST moving experience I haev ever had. I've used at least 6 different moving companies before and this was the worst BY A LOT. The guy abandoned the job because he said he had to be somewhere else at noon! I had communicated with him frequently over the app about what needed to be moved, asked questions and he didn't follow through with what he agreed on the app. He moved half a truck of stuff, rushed to throw it into the garage breaking things and left me with about half of my stuff not even moved. Worse he didn't even tell me he was abandoning the job until he had already loaded his truck half full. When I called Dolly kept trying to tell me to tell him to stay and then when he left without finishing it, they told me my only recourse was to book another Dolly. No refund. AND IF THAT WAS NOT BAD ENOUGH the guy was so angry about me calling Dolly to complain that he was abandoning the job he rushed through it carelessly and broke my TV and desk - total 2300$ but despite having $10k in coverage they only approved $1k in my claim. NIGHTMARE. DO NOT USE DOLLY. If I could give LESS than 1 star I would. ABSOLUTELY A SCAM. read more

If I could give them 0 stars I would. I booked this service three weeks in advance of my local move. I was happy about the price that I was quoted in the app but now I know why it's so low: they did not ever assign any helpers to my move and 30 minutes before the move, after I tried calling repeatedly, they told me they had to delay the move to later in the day. I asked if they had people available in the afternoon and they said they did not. Why on earth would I allow a delay for nobody to show up twice?! The customer service was extremely hard to get through to and it was overseas instead of local. Absolutely garbage service. My new apartment building had actually recommended them through their moving website but nothing on that website worked either. I had to book a more expensive service with a short turnaround which meant an additional cost because this company screwed me over. I had to take time off work because the only time I could get movers was a day I was working, though when I booked Dolly it was for a day I was not working. Dolly is like an Uber service connecting independent "helpers" to your job you are requesting. Depending on what you need moved, how far, stairs, etc, dictates your charge. It then sends out a ping to their "helpers" and once someone accepts, you get a notice of the time and name. I give 4 stars since you can never really know who you're getting for the service, my other gripe is, they wore their shoes in my house, on white carpet, when it was raining outside. I'm in the no shoes in the house camp and it was just something I hoped they would have noticed. Maybe a moving company would handle that different but just something to be aware of as a home owner. read more

Dolly is garbage. The contractor who came out was fine as far as the physical moving of the items, however even though I made it very clear there were stairs at the delivery end (we're talking like 5-6 steps) just because I know how petty these services can be, then they set a price and did the delivery, I paid a cash tip, and then AFTER all that I get messages about how I need to pay another $18 "stairs fee" and that the providers can't do their next job until I ok it in the app. I have screenshots of the text messages where I told them about the stairs before any of this, even though I shouldn't have had to. I should not have caved in, thinking I was helping the poor innocent provider against the evil corporate Dolly, because really the only way Dolly would even know there were stairs would be if these people told them - so really I regret the positive feedback I gave on them as well, the whole thing was a fraud. Yes they moved something, but then they did this shady upcharge after the fact and played it like they needed me to pay it or the contractor couldn't "do their next job". That kind of manipulation is disgusting and I have zero tolerance for it - it is almost certainly their method of operation/normal procedure. I wish I could give zero stars. Our office flooded which caused us to have to vacate our building with 9 days notice. Dolly's helpers arrived late. Upon arrival, the helper informs me that he cannot find parking for his large box truck in the area (we are downtown). He then proceeds to drive away as I'm in tears begging him to fulfill the commitment and move our office. To add insult to injury, Dolly then CHARGES me for the service anyway and tells me there is nothing they can do to help or reverse the charge. This is the best service ever! I just wish I had found them sooner. We bought a new dinette set and thought it would fit in the back of my Scion XB. Wrong! The rest of the day was like a nightmare. U-Haul sent us to a location with no staff and then to a non-existent location. Home Depot isn't close to us and wanted a lot of money, and we would have to do all the heavy lifting. None of our friends had trucks. I finally came across Dolly. They were able to send someone out within two hours of us contacting them and the price was lower than anyone else. I used Dolly to move a new refrigerator and asked for three things: 1. A box truck 2. 2 helpers 3. The refrigerator to be transported upright What did I get? 1. A van 2. 1 guy (my wife had to help unload and ended up having to pay a neighbor to help get the fridge inside) 3. The refrigerator delivered on its side. Of course I asked for a refund and sent a note to Dolly. It's been well over a week and the only response I've had so far is a note with a claims form for damage (there wasn't damage...there also wasn't what they said they'd do) and a promise to work on their systems in the future. I see the great idea behind the service, just be prepared for them to practice and work out their growing pains and problems on your stuff and then not have an answer for you. Next time I'll be smarter and just pay my neighbors from the start. Would've been a much better result with the same outcome. read more

Never Again! we used Dolly for the first and the last time to move 3 appliances literally 30'. While we were busy moving other items the movers scratched and dented our stainless steel fridge beyond repair. When we discovered it, the movers had the gall to lie and deny they did the damage! It was clearly evident they dragged the fridge across a raised countertop as they were moving the item and there was certainly not a giant dent before the fridge was moved. They left us to go through the process of submitting a claim. Then Dolly says they will send a check for only $300, because we did not buy additional insurance beforehand. Therefore, we are still left with damage because $300 will not cover a new fridge door! It is apparent Dolly does not vet their movers. Certainly expect you should ​pay extra for insurance if you want anything moved godforbid carefully, which is what one would expect regardless. The company is scamming the employees. Take a look at this. The company wants to pay out $36 to move a 200lb cabinet 26 miles round trip. Subtract 22% taxes that's 28.08. A truck in town while loaded is getting around 10-11mpg, gas is 5.20 a gal. So take off about $15 in gas, that leaves $13.08. Insurance on your truck runs around $3.50 a day, you're left with $9.58. Now driving to the location, loading the equipment safely, securing and covering the load, transportation to the next destination, unloading, and moving it into the new location could take about 1.5 - 2 hours. So let's take that $9.58 and devide it by 2 and that leaves you roughly $4.79 an hour. I also did NOT include vehicle depreciation in any of this. Here in Oregon, the minimum wage is $14.50. So if you accept a job from dolly, here in Oregon, you're essentially getting paid 1/3 of Oregons LEGAL minimum wage. So many people wonder why workers aren't showing up, or aren't doing a good job. Well here's a really good contributing factor. This company is scamming its employees out of money and found a gray area to pay its workers WAY under legal wages. read more

When that one closed, I had to call LLflooring to see what was up, and discovered my order hadn't even been picked up yet. It didn't arrive until 2:40pm, wasting my entire day. First off, the Randy showed up 15 minutes EARLY and began to call me every 5 minutes. Dude needs to realize showing up early is rude. It's far more entitled and rude than being late IMHO. When I finally went outside to meet him, he all around had a jerky attitude/personality toward me, as if he was annoyed I didn't oblige his early arrival and I was in the wrong for that? . Maybe he hates his job, or whatever, but maybe if that's the case don't work in customer service? Now we get to the good part. My $1695 new washer and dryer were slammed around so much during the move, it sounded like an elephant was in my basement. I saw this new service in Portland on a morning news channel. I wanted to purchase an artificial Christmas tree from Costco but had no way to get it home. Not wanting to ask a friend to help me with this I contacted Dolly. I received a quick response from a Helper and easily set up a time to meet at Costco. Once there, they already sold out. I called Andrew G. to see if he could meet me at another Costco farther away. He did and once home he set the tree up for me and made sure the lights worked before leaving.
