I wanted to follow up on my last review because I found the advertisement for Casey's Movers for the donations and Casey's response to my request for my receipt for my taxes for my donations that were supposed to have been taken to Goodwill. Till this day and after repeated requests, Casey still has not returned any of my belongings to me. The only thing he did manage to do is send me a text message trying to guilt me into removing my reviews on Google and Yelp. Again, this is not retaliation. Easy to work with, I've met the owner in person(he's a kind nice guy)! The cost for my move in 2 separate trips was probably more than if I had done it in one trip, but his prices are far more comparable than others! A few items hit damaged in first move but honestly I wasn't concerned as they were free to me items anyway . My funny thought is how they forgot my pictures in the truck, but at least they called and brought them to bather ground, wa. Mad props to Julian for always communicating with me, because of his amazing skills, hardworking attitude and friendliness that oozes out him. We hired Caseys Movers to move a significant amount of goods and furniture from a storage unit and a house to our new home. We did pre move walkthroughs and Casey committed two trucks and five movers. On moving day Casey showed up with one truck and two movers. He made calls and eventually two more movers showed. This resulted in a late start and the lack of a second truck resulted in further delays going back and forth between our old house and new house. They crew worked hard but due to the early departure of two movers and one mover just disappearing (along with only having one truck), they didn't finish the job and left a truck full of our belongings in our driveway for two days. When the day came to finish the move Casey had himself and two movers come to finish the job. During the move they broke my refrigerator, broke my garden boxes and tracked mud all over our light colored carpets. Casey committed to come back and clean the carpets and fix the fridge. He mailed us a fridge part which helped but my fridge is still broke. After multiple exchanges he no showed twice and never cleaned the carpets. They tried to extra bill us, when we called them out in it they said it matched the original quote. When we challenged them on that they sent us the bid, which had been revised from the one we used to hire him. Thankfully we had retained the original. Don't use these guys. His lady rep lies, he doesn't meet his commitments. He'll break your belongings and never make it right. ZERO stars wasn't available so he gets one. read more

Quoted me a flat rate price on phone plus a deposit. Sent me an invoice for more than the quoted me plus a truck fee of $130 extra. I pointed out a DEPOSIT is not the same as a FEE. After living in my house for nearly 20 years, I moved out with the help of Casey's Movers. I am extremely particular--for example, I have never permitted shoes inside my house--but in the end, I can say that Casey's Movers exceeded my expectations. Isaiah, Michael, and Sebastian were extremely respectful throughout the whole day. They offered to wear booties--in both residences, but for the sake of efficiency I decided I'd prefer that they not. They were also very careful with my precious belongings, and they were kind spirits that I felt comfortable having in my space. All three were super efficient (and amazingly strong). I joked that they were too fast, as I still had last-minute packing to get done after they had arrived. They moved the contents of my 1650-sq ft house into my new house in under 6 hours, including carefully wrapping all the furniture items before moving. The day before the move, Casey had a couple of guys come to our new house to protect our new hardwood floors and stairs with ram boards and our stair railings with cardboard. On the day of the move, at my old house the movers protected higher traffic areas with blankets and cardboard. At the end of each phase (before departing my old house and before departing for the day), they had me walk through and let them know if anything was missed. In the end, moving day for me was as low-stress as could have been possible--a huge success as I tend to stress out easily. My fiancé regrettably opted to use All Service (two days after my move)... we were seriously disappointed by our experience with All Service. They threw a lot of inefficient and grumbly labor into his move. The contrast further increased my gratitude for Casey and his guys, and we'll be recommending Casey's Movers from here on out. P.S. Casey is also a top-notch dude... he personally visited and gave estimates at both my house and my fiancé's. Avoid Casey's Movers - Unprofessional, Unreliable, and Overpriced If you're considering Casey's Movers, let this be a clear warning! Our recent experience was nothing short of frustrating and disappointing. We spent two hours on the phone ahead of the move detailing every item to ensure proper planning. Despite these assurances, they showed up with a truck far too small for the job--something they admitted halfway through the move. Their coordinator even confirmed that the larger truck we were promised had been accidentally booked on another job. Somehow, with three workers, it took over five hours just to load the truck. This stretched what should have been a manageable task into an 8-hour ordeal, costing us $2,000. And yet, they only managed to move half of our 1,600 sq. ft. home. This was for a move of just 15 miles! When it became clear they couldn't complete the job, they admitted fault but then demanded more money to find a solution. This was despite us repeatedly stressing that we needed to be out of the house that day. It felt less like a professional moving service and more like a scam. It's embarrassing we had to source another company last minute to finish their job. Learn from out mistake with Casey's Movers. To make matters worse, we discovered broken furniture once we started unpacking! We've now called four times in an attempt to resolve this issue amicably. Each time, Casey has been unreachable. We're still waiting to hear back for our "solution" with Casey. If you value your time, money, and sanity, look elsewhere for a moving company! Of course! When I called to inquire why only half of our belongings had been moved during moving day, the only response I received was, "Are you willing to pay more money?" When I declined, I was told they would follow up after speaking with the owner. However, I did not receive a call back for 48 hours, despite their awareness that we had to vacate the property the next day. During the eventual call, the owner dismissively remarked, "I heard we left a few things behind." 2. I always tip employees regardless of the circumstances, as I believe they should not be penalized for issues beyond their control. I do not direct my frustrations at workers for management's shortcomings. Additionally, I never signed off on any final paperwork or conducted a walkthrough regarding damages, so I am unsure why this was mentioned. 3. I find the service overpriced because it cost $2,000 to move only half the contents of a 1600-square-foot home which feels unreasonable given the outcome. 4. This comment thread represents the most communication I have received from the company. The last time I spoke with the owner, I was told they would follow up in a few days. It has now been over a week. 5. When I initially contacted the company, I even offered to provide a U-Haul for the move as a secondary truck, but I was assured this was unnecessary. Two hours into the move, were we supposed to stop everything because we were then told otherwise? By that point, it was far too late to make adjustments. 6. Prompt and fair priced, until something is damaged and they "can't prove they did it" so it's not their problem. I didn't move the item, so.... The movers themselves were fantastic! We gave them all large tips, they were amazing and deserved it. Casey and Valerie were great until it was time to stand by their promises on their website, then we were SOL. I'm not sure there's such a thing as an honest moving company, but the movers themselves were A+, and it didn't cost an arm and a leg. I wouldn't use them again, which is a shame, because until now, I was quite happy with them. My advice is, take a lot of before and after photos. My mistake, I suppose. EDIT: In order to address some misinformation in the companies reply. I personally packed and moved the TV to the storage unit where Casey's then moved it again. Another moving company had not handled anything prior to Casey's. After posting this review, they reached out again, but have still not offered a solution. Please don't be fooled. Furthermore, it would seem that their insurance would cover this damage, but this solution has not been offered. As I stated previously, I think all movers are likely liable to break your things and then not help you. This has been my experience with Casey's Moving, and I hope it will help others make informed choices. UPDATE: Yelp ended up honoring their guarantee and are refunding us the value of the TV. They showed up early, the crew was friendly and professional, and even went to our storage unit to pick up more of our stuff. I found Casey Movers on Yelp and was honestly a bit nervous. I was nervous about movers in general as I heard movers seemingly take their time to draw out the hours worked. Yes, the crew came on time, they were very polite and nice. The job has been done within estimated time. Unfortunately, we had to issue : 1) they tried to charge us more on 30 minutes, after we gave them good tip. 2) They tried to steal new hand truck (expensive), when we asked them where is the hand truck, they said "we don't know ", but when we checked inside the truck they hid it between blankets. We were in need of interstate movers for Portland to Chicago and came across Caseys Movers on Yelp. They responded to my quote request in a timely manner and were able to provide a close rough estimate pretty quickly. Casey and his team have all been nothing short of pleasant and professional from start to finish with estimates, invoicing, the actual loading/unloading of the truck, and communicating when there are hiccups along the way. We'd like to also praise all of the movers he had working with him in Portland and here in Chicago - they were kind, very polite, personable, and were reassuring when we had any concerns and questions. Post move, Casey ensured that the furniture and boxes were all placed where they needed to be, went over any scuffs/marks/dents from during the move and provided helpful suggestions to fix them, and that we were present for any unpacking of valuable pieces. It is also worth noting that Casey kept us updated with Google Maps tracking along his drive down. We were able to inform our kind neighbors ahead of time to make the arrival and unloading more efficient since parking can be a headache in Chicago! Started with a walk through labeling items that would go different places (my move was slightly complex which they handled with ease). They then wrapped off my doors and banisters and rolled out mats to protect my home. Then they started in. The whole thing went faster than expected. All the guys were friendly and easy to work with.
