This company is great. The guys they sent (Cobey, and I forget the other guys name...) were courteous, professional, and did a great job. I was very happy with the work they did. Heads up: Their clock starts the minute they leave their shop. I can't remember if the owner let me know that, but just wanted other people to know. We used Supportive Service Moving today to move my mother into her new home. They showed up on time and ready to work. We were really impressed with how hard the two men worked. They unloaded a storage unit into the truck then unloaded at the home in no time flat. They were careful with items and were very mindful with boxes they were moving. TLDR - scheduled me for a 9 am move, let me know at 8 am they would be delayed, and then ONLY let me know the move was cancelled after I contacted them by phone and text. The full story: Got a call at 8:19 am (41 mins before my scheduled move) that they were finishing a job from the night before. I asked them to let me know when the team would be an hour away. They texted me from a different number at 10:30 that the team would arrive in 60-90 mins. I waited until 12:30ish before texting for another update. No one responded to that text. I tried calling the original phone #, no one picked up. I texted the original joke number, just asking for an update, and received a call back immediately. They called to cancel because apparently 1. The team that was supposed to come quit after their morning job, 2. The other truck had 2 blown out tires. I heard back on the phone 5 hours after the initial call. While they offered the same "9 AM" time slot the next day, they also said that slot could go to someone else if I didn't want it - which I didn't. I found a different service because of the reasons they gave for cancellation - I genuinely doubted they'd come through. Knowing their mission and the way they claim to provide for other communities, I tried my best to be patient. I was extremely disappointed in the result (which was nothing) and the offer to move me on a different day without any discount, deals, or guarantees was worthless. I recommend basing your decision to hire on the recent reviews. I wish I had done that. read more

They were at my house exactly when they said they would be, and the two gentleman that I was lucky enough to have as my movers were absolutely fantastic. They hustled to keep my overall fee to a minimum while still being careful and attentive as to not damage my belongings as well as the two houses. So professional and accommodating, I would 100% recommend this service to anybody. You also cannot beat the price (and I moved about a year and a half ago in the area with the same amount of things!) These guys did a great job moving us back in 2019, so I went with them again for a recent move... and they destroyed a 49 inch tv as well as a double bed and a dining table (no pix of the bed because it can't be assembled with the parts they lost in the move). Todd Burton doesn't seem interested in responding in order to deal with the issue meaning customer support doesn't exist when THEY make mistakes. I do NOT recommend using this moving service if you value the things you are moving. read more

The owner, Todd Burton refuses to address his employees' misconduct. They cost my mom several hundred dollars because at 1030am, they agreed to take some items to the dump later that day. Then at 530pm they reneged. My mother will be issued an abandoned property notice and will have her security deposit revoked, and we have to pay for several extra days of rent. When we text him about the matter, he was sarcastic and said "have a good day". He didn't apologize, or even acknowledge what his employees did was wrong. Not to mention, there was some theft of our belongings. I will be contacting the state and advising them to end their contract with this company. The gross negligence here is absolutely not ok. And Todd is not a professional owner at all. This has caused us a lot of stress and anxiety read more

I will save you a lot of time with this review: You should use Supportive Services. I looked at a bunch of local moving companies and requested several quotes and these guys were far-and-above the best choice of the pack. They just drove away from our new house and I was compelled to get on Yelp and write a review so everyone knows how much easier the fellows from Supportive Services made today (which should have been a stressful day)! Jamel and Richard arrived early and got right to work. They were communicative and friendly the ENTIRE time and somehow got to the new house faster than I did. My furniture is in perfect condition because of their attention to moving cautiously but with purpose. Even after we paid, Jamel hopped out of the truck to help my father with a box he pulled from our car. Randy made booking our appointment easy and he quickly responded to my emails, phone call, and text messages (I was definitely a bit overkill when I was preparing for this move). So friendly, fast, patient, professional, and (above all on my list of important characteristics) entirely competent. Five enthusiastic stars for this company. read more

Like so many other reviews on here, Todd is really unprofessional and refuses to fix/make right the mistakes his employees make. The beg of the day started great. The guys that showed up were polite and respectful and seem to be working really hard. BUT, towards the end of the move (that took all day) they were reckless and careless with my property, but especially my TV ( almost $700) that they broke due to standing it on its side ON CONCRETE AGAINST A METAL FENCE, and according to the security guard at my propert, they carelessly dropped it on a dolly. He also stated that they were complaining and one of the guys (the older guy) told the other guy to stop taking his sweet time. They also damaged the hallway walls, and left a piece of my couch in front of the building after telling me they would quote "take it back to the shop". after sending him photos of everythin, he said he's guys said they handled my items correctly basically calling me a lia and said he wasn't going to replace my TV and said I owe him a little money still and if I pay that we can "have a conversation then". MY TV COST ME CLOSE TO $700! After I complained and stated I was going to leave a review and tell all my coworkers to be careful working with him, he said it would be a good idea to send an email to multiple staff complaining about me and worried I was going to tarnish his name! Really unprofessional boss man and he was very rude to me! As I'm reading all of the reviews I noticed there are some that are exactly like my experience! Be careful who you hire! Butter Field Moving is also another affordable moving Company! There are about $10-$11 more an hour, but they're very good, fast, and thorough! I honestly should've went with them but I was going to just get a U-Haul and hire a couple of neighbors but, I couldn't find anybody who could help me, So last minute I hired this company and truly regret it! read more

We've used SSM several times including referring them to family and friends. They have done great each time. This time around, they worked harder than I could have imagined. The crew assigned in the morning had a sick call and couldn't show up at scheduled time. Got a call from the office and said they will assign another crew after they finished their morning job. The crew showed up after noon and worked their butts off for 5 hours. They were courteous and wore masks the whole time. They were also very good at driving a large truck in narrow roadways with very little room to turnaround. I honestly don't think you anyone can beat the price either. I found Supportive Services through Yelp and Todd got me a quote right away. Compared with other moving companies in the area, their pricing was the best. My situation was a bit unique. I wasn't moving, but I was looking to hire a company to pick up some rental items for an event, deliver them to the event, and then do the return trip a few days later. I am located in another state so I was a bit worried about not being there in person but I really didn't have any other choice. I supplied notes about the moves that Todd passed along to his team. Patrick was one of the movers and was my contact for both days. He was amazing! He called me several times throughout the job to give me updates. He also noticed that the rental company hadn't given him all the items on the list I sent over and made sure the list was 100% before he left their building. He could have very easily just assumed what the rental house gave was correct and left, so I really appreciated his attention to detail! Both trips went great. It took a bit longer than I had hoped to get a receipt emailed to me, but I understand that they are very busy, and I eventually got what I needed so all in all, 5 stars! I scheduled with this company for a move. They were an hour late. Nobody contacted me. After an hour, someone called and said they would be there sometime between noon and 2. I went to breakfast with my daughter. Then, they called me at 11:30, and said that I was being billed for services even though I wasn't there. I told them I would fight those charges, because they told me between noon and 2. The company owner texted me and Told me he would not take my crab and would not move me. My move was the summer of 2021. I have been waiting for Supportive Services to make things right. They had a new mover and he caused damage to many things. He tossed a pristine white chaise lounge into the back of the truck and forced the door shut. It was dirty and the fabric was cut and the chaise unusable. My husband saw him do this. A box was upturned and the liquid inside stained a brand new, never used dining chair and an ottoman. The carpet at the house we had sold, with the new buyers arriving the next day, was filthy. It had just been cleaned and my husband told them to put some carpet plastic down and they refused. Two lampshades were broken. This is just some of the damage down. I spoke with Todd Burton and sent pictures. I have initiated contact a number of times. We finally agreed Supportive Services would pay $1200 which was a tiny amount of the loss. He then sent a few hundred dollars and I have not heard from him again. I have submitted a claim to Multnohmah county small claims court. read more

I wanted a super heavy couch and dresser in my upstairs bedroom with a narrow stairway and they figured out a way to get it up the narrow staircase. I didn't think it had a chance but they did it. The lack of communication was a little concerning at first. I emailed to ask for an estimate and was told I would receive an invoice AFTER the move was completed. No one ever asked me what items I was moving, I just filled out the form and that was it. I was told I would receive a call 1-2 days before my move, but that never happened. I left a voicemail that was unreturned so I had to email again to get confirmation that my move was still taking place the next day. I did get a response from that though. The day of my move, I didn't get a call from my movers to let me know they were on their way. But, they did arrive exactly on time. Quick walk through of what was going and what was staying and they got right to it. The move was relatively quick - it took a little over 3 hours for 2 movers to load/transport/unload about a 650 square foot, 1 bedroom apartment. No damage to my stuff or the apartment, with an exception of a cracked mirror. All in all, they did a pretty good job and I would use them again. read more

After they lost my info - we rescheduled, when they again cancelled - we rescheduled, on that 3rd, attempt, the manager had to cancel our appointment because he had to drive for a no-show - he wanted to uphold the company "reliability." I normally never write reviews but had to do it for this company. I had an amazing experience and will most definitely go with them again if I ever have to move in the future. Movers Jerry and Sean called me 15 minutes before their assigned time to let me know in advance that they are on their way. They came on time. I was very impressed in how amazing, quick and efficient they were. They wasted no time. They were professional. They also wrapped some of my furniture up to prevent scratches. I will recommend this company to all my family and friends. There are no hidden fees like some of the companies out there. When they arrived they told me what the price will be and offered me a protection insurance which I declined. You would think that they would take their time moving things like some other companies do to make more money off of you because they charge by the hour but nope not this team. They worked fast! I would never ever ever recommend this company to anyone! Their movers were lazy, and did not dis connect the antenna from my TV when moving a few feet away, damaging the set. I was hesitant to book movers as most were so expensive and I thought it would be cheaper to rent a truck, at the last minute I decided to call Supportive Services for their moving services, and I'M SO GLAD I DID. They showed up a few minutes early and wasted no time in moving. They loaded up our items, drove to our new house and unloaded all in 2 hours. Other movers quoted us at a 4-5 hour move time. We were blown away with their quickness and detail. No items damaged and we were set up in our new place in no time. Also this move cost us less than we would have payed to do the move diy style.
