This place offers complete Family Fun and lots of water rides. My family and I spent two days at the water park and we were able to get on all the water rides except 3 because the lines were just too long. However, this place is amazing and I recommend this place to anyone looking for a great place to take their family for a vacation or just to get away for a few days. There are fun water rides for kids of all ages. No one will walk will saying they did not have fun, there is something for everyone whether you can swim or not. Best waterpark EVER!!!! We come all the way from SF Bay area just to go here. When you are standing in line there are trees everwhere, and it is cooler, the people are super friendly, they are VERY dilligent about the changing weather and thunder and lightning. There are slides that literally come right out of the Smoky Mountains. There is a roller coaster that glides on water, it is AMAZING. I wish I could go here every single week. I love love love it! Do yourself a favor and rent a little shelter or a cabana. The big cabanas come with TVS if you need that. Either way you will have a BLAST. GO GO GO read more

If you are going to spend the money to take your family here, please take the time to explain to them that EVERYTHING and EVERYONE is VERY slow here and that there are not near enough mats/tubes for any of the rides, so you not only have to wait in line to get a mat/tube for a ride you then have to go get in line for the ride. It is really hard for me to believe that Mrs. Dolly Parton does not have enough money to make sure that there are enough mats/tubes for all of her rides. The rides are okay at best and forget trying to talk to the workers there because they are so overworked that they do not even have 2 seconds to say hello, how are you, where are you from or anything. The food is okay, very overpriced and again the staff is VERY, VERY slow! They advertise a mug that is unlimited refills all season long and when I went to purchase it she said we have been out of them since the 2nd week of the season. My grand children enjoyed the park and it has great potential. The water was yellow by 2 pm which was disturbing. The lines were horrendous and the food horribly expensive. Be patient while you are here. Everything is SLOW. - Lines are slow, food is slow. It constantly seems like they are understaffed and use teenagers or elderly for employees, they tend to get overwhelmed easily with people. This is a GREAT water park and definitely well worth the price that you pay. Honestly I don't think it is over priced for all that you get to do inside the water park. I also like how it has a bit of an old country theme to it similar to the them park Dollywood. The lines get really long in the summer but the park offers a pass similar to the fast pass at other parks and its waterproof as well so no worries about it getting water damage. The park is fun, but not something spectacular. You can purchase a locker to 15.00 but if you pack a credit card for the day also bring your id. Cons, they sell waterproof bags (27.00)for your cell phones which sounds good for videos on your rides. In actuality they will make you take them off on a majority of the slides, thank god I have the iPhone 7. I opted to leave the bag with neck harness behind. They claim it's a safety hazard..... Really??? If I am going to choke by the lanyard that = I may tip over and be dragged, not a good selling point. Also they tell you that you can't record the slides as you go. Point taken, don't buy the silly bag and yes if your phone is waterproof take the video anyway. Water shoes, they make you take them off when you use the slides. I can understand Sandals but water shoes don't come off, get with the modern times. They are worn to avoid hot pavement and they tie on which means they won't fall off. Again they tend to be over cautious yet having to juggle them in your lap while not being able to hold on to the handles with both hands it's kind of safety stupid. Food, your not allowed to bring snacks in so eat before you go. 1 Nachos, nugget meals x2 and a corn dog cost 45.00. All in all I definitely will avoid on my next trip, with the other attractions in the area I can find friendlier places to go with rules and prices. read more

Really nice place but not enough for the price. We went on a Sunday so it was busy. Too busy. With two small children we kept to the kiddie activities. Not enough seating which is understandable being a Sunday and all. But they charge an arm and a leg for adults. We were there for a couple hours. I stood in line for 35 minutes to get an iced coffee for my wife at the only place that sold iced coffee to find out they don't have that even though it's listed on there billboard menu. For the money, the place should be massive with 10 minute wait lines. Won't be back until I forget. read more

My friends and I went here after going to Dollywood. It looked pretty nice on the adverts we saw on TV. The parking lot was a bit small, but it still was not a problem since we got there very early in the morning. Security check was once again very fast. I didn't like how the lockers cost money, but we still had to buy one anyway. The security for the lockers is okay, to open your locker and close it you had to press icons or whatever. I wasn't the one locking it so I didn't pay attention. After waiting for rides to open, we first went to the lazy river. It was nice, but because we were teens on ther smmer vacation, we swam through the thing instead of waiting on tubes. We raced each other and it was good fun. The water fall at the beginning and end was very much like the one at the end of the raft ride at Dollywood. Next we rode some tube rides. There were pretty nice. We saw one ride on the side called The Butterfly, and that one was basically a kiddy slide. But we rode it anyway because we are teenagers. It was alright, a bit intense for a kid ride but whatever. There was one tall slide that had a huge drop, but I didn't ride it since I'm a bit skittish to rides like that at Water Parks. My friend rode it and he said it was fun though. The wave pool was awesome. It had some beach chairs nearby for people to sunbathe, but we didn't care about that. Every so often a siren would go off and the waves would start. It was tons of fun, even for a wave pool. I wish there was more to do though. Maybe an indoor section like The Wilderness of the Smokies, or just a normal pool? read more

When we were next in line for the river rush they closed the rides bc of lighting 12 miles away. We waited and waited for them to reopen! nothing... And do we get to go back tomorrow bc of that? Great slides, long waits but the fast pass is worth it if the park is crowded. The drink cup did not work well for us the microchip in the bottom of the cup kept malfunctioning not allowing us to get refills. The staff is amazing every lifeguard was pleasant and sweet! A very nice water park. Our party of 7 went on Friday, 6/21/19. The park was busy, but not over crowded. It was the 1st sunny day in a week and we expected large crowds. We were able to ride every ride. However, the line for the Swift Water Rush was about an hour. Like others have complained, I believe the time saver system needs work. It is very frustrating to be waiting in line an hour and have 20-30 people skip you at the last minute. I would recommend allowing one time saver group to go, then allowing a group from the regular line to go. The line for food at 2:00 was 45 minutes. I was surprised how quickly we received our food once it was ordered, considering how long we had to wait in line. I'm sure we will be going back, but hope the time saver system gets fixed. read more

We had a blast. Spent the entire day there. The kids got the time saver and rode so many times they couldn't count. Very clean and well run. A little spread out. We had to walk a lot but I also guess that helps with the crowd size as well. Food was okay and pricey. We rented a retreat. Had a handicap person with us. They were in the retreat all day. Retreats were very nice, large and a lot of privacy. It was well worth it for us. Hint if you want a good parking spot, you'll need to get there early. read more

My family and I arrived at Dollywood Splash park on July 7th for a day of relaxation and fun. My initial impression of the park from the outside was positive. When we arrived at security my wife and daughter had their bag searched (normal protocol) When it was my turn to go past security the older security lady said to me There ain't no sleeping in here boy...why you even here with a real southern twang. My daughter and I were stunned to the point that we didn't even know what to say back to that. My daughter had never seen this type of racist garbage in her 14 years her on earth...thanks Dollywood for showing her that we still aren't equal in some people eyes, and that racism is alive more than ever these days. It was a real eye opening experience. We wont be back. read more

As far as water parks go, this is a pretty good one. We went on a week that happened to not be as busy as what I've read about in other reviews. The first week in August, school started back in TN, so we got lucky with having smaller crowds on our vacation. We went two days before to Dollywood, so I think my expectations of the Dollywood water park were probably too high. It was cute, but not awesome like the amusement park. The rides were good. My kids 11, 13 & 13 really enjoyed themselves. It's a great place for younger kids too because they've got several areas for little ones. I liked the river that you just float along in a tube. I almost feel asleep at one point because it was so relaxing. The wave pool is really nice too. We paid $15 for a locker, then later found other ones further into the park that are only $10. The food is pricy and not very good, but that's to be expected at a water park, I think. read more

My family goes every year when we are in the area. The 3 day Dollywood park pass is the best deal for $99 a person, but parking is still $12 a day, but we didn't spend a dollar more in the park. The lockers are $8-14 a day each, so just take in a big pool bag for towels and keys. Pack frozen waters and small unlabeled snacks in the pool bag, they won't take those away. You can also get away with Dasani, which they sell inside. Don't take things like labeled bags of cookies or chips, they'll confiscate anything they clearly don't offer inside like that. Pack an easy lunch in a cooler then take the tram out, it only took 30-45 minutes out of our day to eat lunch, and kept it cost effective. They do have nice options for food and snacks, but it would have doubled the cost to eat there as well. The lines get crazy on anything that seats more than one person, but if you stick with single slides you can pretty much walk right up all day. I was going to individually post fast and slow wait times, but it's super consistent. Anything that seats 2 or more is slow, except Wild River Falls. Those are mostly single riders, but you can take a double tube with small kids if you need to, but the lines are fast for those and all single rider slides. Skip the big ones to make the most of your time, you'll wait in line for an hour for a 30 second ride. Not worth it, when you can hit the singles with no wait. read more

I had to leave a positive review after reading several horrible reviews before we visited. We went on a Friday in the summer. There was a strong chance of afternoon showers. We arrived at 9:30, paid $15 to park, for a great spot, entered the park, paid $15 for a family locker right next to the restrooms. We waited about 10 minutes to be allowed to enter the rest of the park at 10. We immediately walked to the wave pool area and put our towels on shaded pool chaises and headed for river rush. We rode with no wait. We rode every other slide in the park with very minimal waits. At noon, we got a weather delay. We had planned to leave with a hand stamp and go get lunch in pigeon Forge. We changed into dry clothes and left. It was still raining after lunch, so we hit the outlets. It stopped thundering around 4, so we headed back to the water park and enjoyed a few more hours with hardly any crowds. Everyone working there was friendly, upbeat, and nice. The facility seemed clean. We all had fun! There is free cups of ice water, just like in Dollywood. read more

Not happy. At all. After a soggy morning on the mountain, we came into town for lunch (JT Hannah's ) and some go-carting (Speed Zone ). Since the weather has turned around, our kids wanted to go here after for some more fun. Are they having fun? We nave no idea because though hubby and I are not going in the water, they wanted to tag us $26 (!!!!!!) just to go watch!!!!!!!! In addition, if we had seen our son often and could afford to miss out on a fun time at a theme park we would have said SEE YA as a family. But, we haven't seen him in two years and, though it was after four when we arrived......park closes at seven....they still were charging for a full day. Tomorrow we will zip line (Foxfire ) and then go tubing (Bryson City, NC).......which will cost us nothing but calories. On the bright side.....and there is always a bright side......our kids are probably having a blast as the park is almost completely empty. read more

I really enjoyed the lazy river and my nephews loved the rides. We all thought the wave pool was a little lame. It didn't really have much oomph to the waves. Make sure to eat off hours. We stood in line for over an hour just to order and pickup our food. It was tasty but took WAY too long. It seemed very disorganized behind the scenes. I finally got to the counter and ordered and then my brother who was behind me got to the counter and was told he had to wait because they were backed up. We could have loaded everyone into the car and gone to the Burger King across the street and come back in less time. Very frustrating to waste so much of our day standing in line just to order some burgers. We were week long guests at the dreammore resort and loved getting fast passes for the park. It would have been great to have them for Splash country too. The lockers were great. No keys so anyone in our group could access it at anytime. They need a lot more shaded areas. My elderly parents ended up sitting next to a trash can all day to squeeze under an umbrella. read more

Seriously disappointing experience. The park ticket staff was rude, but in a polite way, as only we southerners can be. The Ticket Price is higher than in years past, yet there are NO park upgrades...what up with that? The entire FREE WORLD recognizes that ages 0-12 are considered children (Side note: even Dollywood Amusement Park uses this standard) however, at Splash Country, children over 10 are considered an adult...absolutely ridiculous...they call that a Money Grab policy. This policy alone forces people to lie because the cost is outrageous. I actually overheard guests in line with me scheming on how to lie...just shameful. So, what is the difference between Dollywood Splash country and your local water park...uuummm, well, uuummm...NOTHING! The Dollywood Splash Country Waterpark is just as dirty as your local one, has just as rude staff, life guards who are more interested in their look and not your safety, long lines, and fast passes that should NEVER be considered fast passes. The price you are going to pay $49.95 is simply NOT worth the experience. The food places are OUTRAGEOUSLY priced, and you are forced to buy the commemorative cups in order to get an even close to reasonable drink option since you are NOT allowed to bring anything into the park. Ice Water is Free (State Law) but Dollywood Splash Country does try best to hide any option for ice water unless you buy their cup. The sun shade spots within the park are NOT first come first serve, they are reserve only and yes, you guessed it...you pay even more. If you like water parks you will like Splash Country, and you will lose weight on this adventure but it will not be in the gut, but rather in the wallet. Dolly should be ashamed at the fleecing of families for this run of the mill offering from Dollywood. I'm writing this review because I wish someone would have warned me, so even if I had went, I would have went with my EYES WIDE OPEN and prepared. read more

My grandparents and I go every year for spring break. Although it is expensive, it is well worth the price. We have always had a blast every year. The service and people are extremely nice, and the attractions are exciting and thrilling. If you don't want to ride the rides, you can always just lounge in the lazy river and pool which is very nice or if you are at Dollywood, you can enjoy the nice shows and great food. I love everything about Dollywood and Dollywood's Splash Country. I recommend it for everyone of all ages. read more

WARNING: You must have ID with you to spend ridiculous amounts of money at a snack bar! There is NO signage informing guest of this policy either as you enter or at eatry (as you stand in long lines). When I spoke to "management" complaining they should let guest know ID will be required when using a card, she stated with attitude "we can't have signs for everything". OMG, REALLY? There are signs begging for your money EVERY WHERE yet you can't provide useful notifications for your guest how they can spend their money on over-priced food and drink, hummm. Furthermore, the girl tells me it's "for my protection" yet they don't provide common day pin-pads to enter security codes even the most rural convience stores have. The girl was definitely not Dollywood normal high quality customer service representative. If Dollywood can't afford pin-pads then spend a buck and make signs to inform everyone of your polices, I mean who would think to have ID readily available at a WATER PARK? read more

We visited Splash Country from San Diego, CA. The water park was pretty standard. I did like the lazy river which seemed longer than other water parks I've been to. However, the prices were surprisingly MUCH higher than in California. Knott's Soak City in San Diego costs $43/person for an anyday ticket and $37/person for a specific day ticket. I brought a group of 31 people and got a "group discount" at Splash Country for $44.90 per person. Very expensive! I also rented two of their retreats for $200 each!! That made our visit around $65/person not counting food. Some of our group bought the equivalent of "fast passes" called "Time Saver H2O passes" for an additional $20/person. The food was also really expensive. An all day free refill drink was $16. Lunch was $10 per person at least. There were long waits on some slides (1 hour or more). The people who bought the "Time Saver" passes definitely got to go on a lot more rides. Summary- the water park was good, but be prepared to spend a lot of money. One note, military people get 30% off, which they did not tell me until we were checking in. That was far better than the group rate. Military people need to bring their ID's to get the discount. read more
