I told them I'm going to take the dogs for a walk. Their manager Ron called me and asked me to walk back home because they do not know what they are fixing. You are their boss and you did not tell them what they are here to fix? You took pictures And you said they were going to fix these things. But now they are here completely clueless. How is there such poor communication? Between Ron, the workers, the gm, and installation coordinator, I felt like I was dealing with a class of preschoolers who don't know how to work together. On top of that, the manager had the nerve to raise his voice with me and tell me I'm supposed to tell the workers what needs to be fixed because he can't make it on time (once again, did you not take pictures?!) This is probably the worst company I have dealt with since moving to Miami and I would never recommend them to anyone. read more

Matt made the entire process so comfortable and easy. Matt was very knowledgeable about all the different types of flooring. This has been the ABSOLUTE WORST company we have ever dealt with! I would NOT recommend this company to do your project. PLEASE, do yourself a favor and shop around with other tile companies and you will save yourself a lot of heartache. It's my opinion that Jeff Katz and the commercials he's running are not true based on our experience. Please read on and see photos included and then you'll agree with my opinion. March 6th, 2021 I walked into the Biscayne store and met a nice sales person, picked out my tile and gave all the information requested. He told me on Monday, March 8th his measuring guy will come out to measure the job. Monday, no show so I called back. He will be there Wednesday, again no show and I called back. When I called back on Wednesday 3/10 the sales guy asked ME to call the measuring guy and so I did and left a lengthy voicemail. Friday rolls around and still no measuring guy. On Saturday the friendly nice sales guy came out to measure. The next week I was asked to Zelle $600.00 for the permit fee at the city of Miami Beach. Oh yea let's not forget to mention that Dolphin Tile uses a "permit expeditor". If you don't know what a permit expeditor is just google it and believe me she did a poor job. As a matter of fact she uploaded the wrong documents as well as incomplete documents several times. I made contact with the city's building department in person, by phone and emails. What the hell did she do for $600.00 but cause delays by NOT following up for weeks as our permit sat waiting for the correct information to be uploaded. After the permit fee was sent I was again asked to Zelle $1,750.00 which was 50% of my job and so I did just that. This was to reserve and hold my choice of tile. March, April and May came and gone and still my permit was sitting and I continued to make my phone calls to both Dolphin Tile and the city wanting updates. I NEVER once heard from the so called "permit expeditor" on the status of my $600.00 permit. Towards the last part of June I received word my permit was approved. Next, we deal with scheduling which is another horrible experience. I called the nice sales person every week asking when is my install date and his reply was "I haven't heard anything from our scheduling department". Now, by now we're into the first week of July and I'm fed up with Dolphin Tile and their expert team as Jeff says. Finally I get an install date of July 19, 2021. GREAT, well not so much because it gets better. Again, I texted and emailed the same nice sales person I've dealt with since day one explaining that I'm flying someone in from out of state to let the crew in so please make sure they have enough supplies to complete the job that week because the individual is flying home on the 26th. I work at a hospital and couldn't get the time off to let the crew in and out. July 19 rolls around and I get a phone call from the nice sales person I first met on day one saying my job has been pushed back one day. July 20th the crew arrives and removes the old tile, applies the waterproofing as code requires and the city inspector passes that part of the job on July 21. BTW, the waterproofing is red in color so do you notice the sloppy mess on the railing and exterior wall of our condo? Wednesday is when the new tile is to be installed (which I Zelled $1,750.00 back in March to hold with my name on it as the nice sales person who greeted me back on March 6th told me). Wednesday evening the nice sales person who originally greeted me back on March 6th calls me saying " this is the phone call I'm dreading" I replied what's the matter and he said "we can't find your tile. It was in the warehouse with your name on it". Yes by now I went into "are you F*@%&^G kidding me mode. Flight ticket money was spent, it's Wednesday and I have no tile. I asked him to send me photo's of like tile, which he did and another color was picked out. The nice guy tells me it's in stock but won't be installed until Friday. Yes, I said are "yfkm"? Did you not understand I flew someone in to be here this week and you dropped the ball? Friday rolls around and it's down pouring so again, it's a sh!t show no go. Sunday rolls around and I took the individual to the airport came home and looked at the awful red waterproofing mess for a week. I wanted to vent so I called the rude inconsiderate lady in scheduling asking her why she scheduled an outdoor job on a rain day? I told her part of her job is checking the weather forecast and schedule outdoor jobs accordingly. Her reply was " it's not my balcony install you watch the weather". People you can't make this sh!t up. My tile job did get installed the last of July and passed inspection by the the city August 4th, 5 MONTHS just to retile a condo balcony, UNBELIEVABLE! So I ask you, is this the crappy, sloppy service you want done at your home? Again, this is my opinion and experience with photos. read more

The show room is nice, and organized. The customer service people were kind and seemed to care. However, once they got their money that all changed. They told me it would take one day and it took three. They cut the cable coming into my apartment with a skill saw. They broke the pipe going to my refrigerator. They refused to remove the linoleum in my kitchen after telling me at the store they would. To top it all off when they showed up 3 hours late the last day I called the store and the same person I talked to before yelled at me. He said he never promised anything and we are not responsible for repairs because the installers are outside contractors. The floors did however come out really nice and the workers at least apologized for taking so long and breaking my stuff. read more

Mat, the sales guy was knowledgeable and very helpful and helped us with our need. The installation was scheduled fast and on time. Nightmare started at this point. The guy that takes the measurements talked to me as if I was doing him a favor. The installers broke a water pipe and within a week the planks were lifting. I called and the man that Came and looked at this issue said I'd be responsible for the repairs Because of likely water damage, after I told him the installers broke a pipe and there was water damage, he proposed I do the rest of the home with him on the side and he would repair for free, I told him to leave my home. I called Dolphin and told them I did not want those installers back in my home and demanded the repair. They sent the same guys to repair and the planks are now all lifted in different areas. I will not brother calling them back for the repairs. I'll take the loss, but would not recommend this company read more

The manager of this store is extremely helpful and knowledgeable. He is not a pushy salesman and advises on what is best for you. He went out of his way to obtain the approval of our condominium association.He supplied all sorts of documents to certify the effectiveness of the soundproofing. He went even as far as convince the board president that the product being provided was more than adequate as he has had extensive experience with the product . Mr Williams is a very charming gentleman with lots of patience and very optimistic. I am glad that he helped us get thru the process from start to finish. Deal all, I am an owner / property manager (rentals) I hired Dolphin C to install rugs in an apartment in c gables fla. I gave one star only and the star goes to perhaps the manufacturer of the rug. Once you have signed the contract, the customer service is non existent. Robert is rude to the client. I had over $4,000 wood flooring and base boards installed and had some inferior product delivered that I requested be replaced. Suddenly Robert couldn't be bothered. The installer left some type of residue all over the floor where thresholds were installed which two had to be redone. Every chance I get when someone mentions they are looking at installing wood flooring, I tell them to avoid Dolphin Carpet & Tile at the Falls store. read more

I am beyond frustrated with the level of unprofessionalism and incompetence displayed by the salesperson, Kelvin Rosen. He lied about being in the office to meet us to complete the paperwork we needed for the installation of the laminate floors in our apartment, then he submitted the wrong approval paperwork to the condo management office where we live, forcing me - at 5 months pregnant - to spend 2 hours driving to/from the N.Miami store to retrieve it. I will NEVER go back again as long as he is there and I will be sure to tell everyone I know to NEVER go there either. I am disappointed beyond belief and was ready to completely cancel the 2-room flooring installation, if not for my husband who urged me not to cancel due to the urgency of getting this project done (and we'd already submitted our deposit, chose flooring, etc.). It is evident that Kelvin has zero interest in quality customer service. As soon as our deposit was paid, he could not care less if the install was done properly and if the proper paperwork had been submitted. The store manager Ronald was fantastic and apologetic for this person's behavior and one of the company owners, Paul, contacted me to hear my concerns as well. It's unfortunate that a company that has been in business for many decades has the misfortune of having such a careless person employed as one of their salespeople and is ruining their reputation one dissatisfied customer at a time. read more

We have huge bulges in the carpet in several areas and their installers said there was nothing they could do when they came out to fix!!! This is a horribly unprofessional company. I hoped that the fact that this place is well known made it more or less professional. Unfortunately, I was very wrong. They promised me to have my floor in a time frame that I needed due to time constraints in job. Needless to say, they did not keep their promises. The man who installed my tile was one of the rudest person I have ever met. We arranged for him to comoe on Wednesday, but he did not. He forgot part of his equipment and left without doing much. The next day besides coming to work at whatever time he wanted, he started being very aggressive. He yelled at me when ever I would make a suggestion. He made various sexists remarks because I was a "woman" I could not help him move my refrigerator. I was very offended and immediately called the store. They said they did not have anyone available who could do the job and that it was best to try to get along with him! Long story short I have never been treated like this in my life and I hope no one has to go through what I went through again. read more

We bought laminate flooring from Dolphin. Another review was right. Wish I had read it before doing business with this company. The installers used some kind of saw and cut into my AC vent that runs in the wall. I have cool air now going into the floors and moisture damage. I have called many times and cannot get someone to come to my house to even look at the damage. Shame on you Jeff K. for running a company with such poor customer service. In his commercial he says not to call other companies because you will pay more. Well I got what I paid for. Good things aren't cheap. Cheap things aren't good! I say pay more if you will get good workmanship and good customer service. I will tell everyone I know about this horrible experience. NEVER AGAIN! Lesson learned! read more

My husband and I bought wood floors for Dolphin. They talked us out of the bamboo we picked and told us the floors we got were much harder and the stain went all the way through as well as a 20 warranty. The floors after only a few months looked like they have been there for 200 years, and not in a good way. The store manager Jim Fullwood is rude and offensive. He actually licked his finger, bent down and rubbed the floor and said "see it spreads, it is residue". WHAT???? It needs to be replaced under the warranty but he said good luck the manufacturer is in China!!!! No one who wants good quality and service should buy from Dolphin Carpet and Tile. read more

I returned the sample as requested and bought the carpet for a guest bedroom. Dave did the installation and came on time and did a good job completing the work and cleaning up. read more

i bought carpet for my bedroom.. the salesman, kelman couldn't have been nicer until installation.. there was a slight problem with the installation and i called KELMAN, THE MANAGER, twice and he said he'd call me back. he never did. i called one more time and he was annoyed with me and told me it wasn't a big problem and i could live with it.. i had to hire an outside installer to fix the problem at my own cost and it literally took him 5 minutes to fix the problem.. i wouldn't recommend this store to anyone if you want customer service.. it doesn't exist here read more
