Any challenges we had wether with the county permits or with construction- were all resolved by Mike and his crew in a best way possible. He is well respected in this field by anyone I spoke to from his crew members. They all love working with Mike. CATAK Pools offered reasonable pricing and we did not even bother looking for another contractor and get another quotes. Mike was the only bid we got because we felt from the moment "that's it ! This is going to be our pool contractor!" Mike answers his texts and responds to his phone immediately - which was also great! Mike is also very patient and listens to his clients and responds to their needs and concerns! From the bottom of our hearts - THANK YOU!

Before moving forward, we met with 3 different contractors, and Mike was the only one who really understood our vision. We didn't want to tear out our existing concrete or patio cover, which made the project more complicated, but he was able to design around it and still deliver exactly what we were hoping for. That flexibility was a big reason we chose them. We broke ground on 9/15/25 and everything was complete by 11/10/25!!! It was crazy how fast everything went and he definitely did an amazing job coordinating all the teams to finish in a timely manner. We went with a custom setup that included a raised spa, Baja shelf, and two illuminated sheer descents, and everything came together really well. The spa might just be one of the biggest in town! The water features at night give the whole backyard a clean, finished look, with the lights. We also added the iAquaLink system, which has been super convenient for controlling everything from our phones. Like any build, there were a few minor things that came up along the way, but nothing major, and Mike has been responsive when we needed him. What stood out most is that he didn't disappear after the job was done-- Mike continues to be helpful when we've had questions or needed small adjustments. That kind of follow-through matters with a project like this, and it's a big reason we'd recommend CATAK. Looking forward to enjoying the pool for years to come and continuing to work with them if anything comes up down the line. I will add some pictures soon!

This park blew my mind…read more First off, I have lived in Ventura County for years and never really traveled or familiarized myself to Simi Valley. Maybe if I would have known that a park like this was here, I would have. It didn't even look like it was in Simi Valley. I felt like I had taken a step out of reality, right in to Yosemite or something along those lines. There were people fishing, geese, ducks, streams, a lake, beautifully kept grass, massive trees, cranes, etc. The list could go on and on. I didn't do too much exploring but was able to take in, what I thought seemed like the most beautiful part. They have fields here, playgrounds, community center and so much more! Literally everything you could think of is here. There were people walking their dogs, riding their bikes along the greenway and I never managed to hear any noise from the street. Well, I didn't notice it at least. My dog and I had a great time! I can't wait to come back.

What are the politicians here in Ventura doing that the politicians in LA are not doing the park has also a public pool that is very nice. Has all the amenities that any other park would have the main thing about it is that it's very clean. That's probably one of the best features is the cleanliness of the establishment of this park. Great job for the people who run this parking providing and clean it and to the Park Rangers, who keep the peace and keep everybody safe during the concert venues and other different events. Great job.

Then you realize...everyone already has pools, oh; and we live by the beach. Anyhoo...after a long three year break, I crave the thrill of victory and have taken up triathlon again. I used to swim with SCAQ when I lived in Venice (another very good program), but it's just too far for me to drive for a pre-dawn workout. The program is held in the Cal Lutheran Pool which was only recently finished. The pool is an outstanding 50 meters which will put the hurt on you if like me, you are woefully unfit. You can't fake fitness in swimming. Nancy, the head masters coach is quite accomplished...UCLA All American, Top Ten in the world in backstroke, etc. etc. She's a good coach who keeps her eye on everyone and gives regular feedback. Her workouts are tough...especially the 1.5 hour workouts on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. They even have another coach take the beginners in the 25 meter pool to teach noobs pool ettiquette, strokes, flip turns and all that other neat stuff. While they have a lot of items you will need...pull buoys, kick-boards, fins, you may want to invest in those AND a swim cap (if you're a lady), clear and dark goggles (if you're going to swim during the day), hand paddles (start with small ones that fit the size of your hands), wait and buy your fins from Nancy. Also I noted that people are using snorkels when doing pull drills. A couple things BRING WATER!!! Yes, you're in the water, but you still need to drink. If you're a guy and you're not used to wearing those lovely package revealing speedos, you can keep your goodies under wraps with the "down to the knee" versions at your local Sports Chalet. They have locker rooms with showers.

You'll find these obnoxious reviews from angry people throwing a tantrum, but they're just the ones who refuse to follow the rules or think the rules don't apply to them. I've seen these people being very rude and yelling at the staff when the staff are just doing their job. The rules are right on the wall and people like to think they don't exist. Jennifer has been nothing but nice to me and my family all summer. The rest of the staff has been great as well! Matthew and Dakota are two lifeguards that we see often and they always nice and friendly as well. Alex in the office is always friendly and will even lend out goggles for kids who want to borrow some for the day. The entire staff here are so friendly and get treated so poorly by people who feel entitled to everything. Note: I asked why the slide is closed and I was told that they're so short staff. It's probably because people no longer want to work here because people treat them so badly. Keep treating these people poorly and soon you won't have a pool to come to.

I was caught off guard as I had read the 2026 summer brochure throughly and no where did it indicate this policy. I have a bad gash on my knee and need to keep it covered. My daughter was very disappointed as we had gotten ready and drove down here just to be turned away. She didnt want to go inside by herself either. Would suggest the facility to update their policies online to prevent other patrons being turned away as well. There were also parents in the deck area sitting in chairs they brought from home who were wearing normal clothes. Staff said they were there for kids with swim lessons. However if they are going to enforce a rule, it needs to be across the board.
