I was referred to Bill by one of his previous clients. He came out and we discussed redoing our front and back yard. We walked the neighborhood to get some ideas and he recommended I go to Star Nursery to see what plants I wanted. Once I narrowed down the plants I wanted, he came back out, he gave me great advice on which ones would work in the full sun, partial shade, etc. and we did a layout for both areas, We were pleased with a very reasonable quote, which included redoing my irrigation and lights. It took 3 days to complete the work. He was there every day to supervise his crew. Once they were done, they throughly cleaned up and left not a single trace other than the spectacular workmanship. During the quote process, Bill took the time to measure everything, give recommendations, debate turf options (he had many samples), discuss rock choices (we have a dog so this was huge), discuss paver options (our neighborhood went with a certain paver) and plants. Being new homeowners it was comforting to be walked through the entire process. We received a quote later that day after his visit. Called Domestic to give me a quote on removing some tall rose bushes from my yard and trimming a VERY overgrown palm. Bill stopped by and quoted me 200$ for removal and haul away. Great! About 4 years ago we hired Domestic to redo our front yard. We found them because they came to our cul de sac monthly to service our neighbors front yard, and we thought their work spoke for itself. We were happy with the results of our front yard makeover and continued to use Bill and his team approximately 2 times a year for yard maintenance thereafter. It was difficult to arrange because Bill only came to Henderson at certain times, and he wasn't flexible on that schedule. As the years went by, his maintenance price more than doubled, and it seemed Henderson clients were less of a priority. Almost every plant Bill and his team planted in our front yard has since died or never even grew to begin with, and I consider that a testament to their maintenance service, since we relied on them to trim, clean up, and generally "maintain" our front yard. I asked multiple times if we needed more frequent maintenance, and not only did he not recommend it, but he seemed to not want to do it. We followed his watering schedule to a T, and he would always check the irrigation system to ensure that the plants were being watered at the necessary frequency. I should note that his team installed this irrigation system. My final straw with Domestic Landscape this week, when I texted to request our fall cleanup, and he replied with this convoluted response: "I am focused on new installs and water smart conversions at this time. I am also hooked up with a pool builder and Chinese investors. Try yelp.com for maintenance service. If it's a new install or conversion, I can help. Bill" I have been a customer for nearly 5 years, and all he could tell me was to check yelp. My husband and I actually do have to do a water smart conversion in our backyard, but after the way we've been treated we won't consider Bill's team for the job. read more

A few weeks ago we discovered a decent puddle of water pooling in a corner of our backyard near the valve boxes. My dad came by and we used a wet vac to get some of the water out. Eventually, we found out that the Drip-line valve was cracked and constantly leaking. I looked up landscaping companies near me on Yelp and read the reviews for Domestic Landscape. They sounded very promising. I called and left a message, to which I received a fairly swift response for a Saturday around lunch time. Bill gave me a rough estimate depending on what needed replacing and said they'd come over that very next morning! They came over, tested and saw the leak. He and his father then dug it up and replaced it. However, they noticed that water was leaking into the hole from the sprinkler valve box. Upon exposing the sprinkler valves, it turned out that both of them also had cracks! Bill and his dad replaced them and then proceeded to test for other leaks. They ended up replacing the riser on a sprinkler. Overall, they came over the next morning, swiftly found and fixed any problems, and the price was very fair. They were both pleasant to talk to and ready to explain the problems and what they were doing to fix them. One thing to know: they currently only take cash or check. We set a date a few weeks out for an 11 AM appointment. We also had a few email correspondences prior in regards to supplies I needed to have ready etc. He then calls/texts us at 8:00 AM the day of and says he's enroute. He showed up shortly after, and we received a message from the gate saying he's here. We missed that call as well, since we weren't expecting him anywhere near this time. The Missus called him back within 5 minutes or so. He said he'd already left and would not return. Then told her we should have put his name on the gate the night before. Well 1) We can't do it the day before, and 2) You're 3 hours early to our appointment. I apologized for the misunderstanding, which it clearly was (by BOTH parties), but he was kind of a jerk about it to be honest. I called my lawn guy and he did the job the next day for 150 dollars less, and then thanked me for the work-no big ego to cater to. Had a great feeling when I spoke with them on the telephone. He scheduled to visit my residence at 2PM March 31st. The night before they sent me a text message asking me to confirm the appointment. That is where they stopped. I texted the day of the appointment when they did not show up. No response to multiple texts. April 1st I telephoned and received an apology. That was nice, but no offer provided on if and when they would follow through with visiting my residence. They are on vacation for Easter week now. We decided to give Domestic Landscape a call to do an estimate on our landscaping project after reading all of the glowing reviews here. We were not disappointed. We hired their company to remove/replace old shrubs in the front and back of our house, along with replacing all of the decorative rock in the backyard. They also replaced the weed barriers and drip lines, amended the soil and even hedged some bushes for us. The work was TOP NOTCH!!!
