We bought a quartz countertop for a bathroom vanity, and I was very happy with the service. First off, their sales staff is by far the most well organized and professional of all the contractors I have worked with. They know their inventory and make the sales process relatively straightforward (in an industry where communication can sometimes be an issue). The quartz looks great and delivery and installation were extremely smooth. We ended up going with a remnant to save money, and Dominion has one of the larger selections I saw. I visited close to a dozen places, as we needed something to match the rest of the bathroom (off-white), and Dominion had probably 3 or 4 slabs that would have worked. Of the other places I visted, I only found one other potential remnant match. The only minor gripe I would have is that I think their prices are slightly higher than some other granite installers, but again, this is a case of you get what you pay for. I was doing this one myself (last time, they did our kitchen, and I had them do everything, which they did flawlessly) and I needed lots of advice. Great customer service, the young lady that answers the phone is super helpful, everyone that I have met has been top notch and have gotten answers I've needed fast. We had been working with a company in Chantilly and were getting very frustrated by their lack of customer service and inability to offer any useable advice. Out of desperation I Googled granite installers in my area and Dominion was the first one to pop up. I called, Keena answered the phone and for the next 30 minutes she made me feel like I was the only customer they had. Trust me...these folks are amazing! I was recommended Dominion Granite by a family friend, and overall I was very satisfied with my experience. I have an older condo and discovered things weren't very level - they worked tirelessly through the day (even skipped lunch) to ensure the granite was level and done properly. I don't believe all companies would've done this - they would likely have taken the easy route and just installed it not level. They listened to any concerns I had and made sure to accommodate. I even had a few questions after the process, and Christian was kind enough to come out to my place and discuss them with me and observe the job that was done. My only complaint was that during the initial inspection, they didn't take note that my passthrough was not level and this caused a lot of issues on installation day. However, I would still recommend Dominion to anyone looking for new granite! read more

I requested quotes for a small bathroom vanity top from several area granite/marble companies. Christian at Dominion was by far the most responsive, most helpful and most detail-oriented of all six. He was also proactive in reaching out to me when he came across the perfect remnant that matched what I had been looking for from the beginning and worked with me throughout to ensure that my very small project turned out exactly as I had hoped. My project was very small (small vanity top that we picked up at the shop), but he didn't treat it or me that way. He LOVES marble and is very knowledgeable about it, so if you are considering marble, I wouldn't go anywhere else. He recommended acid-washing our piece to prevent/diminish any etching or marks from water or other materials left on the countertop, and I love both the look and the peace of mind. I really couldn't be happier with my countertop or Dominion and look forward to doing several more projects with them in the coming months/years. These folks are terrific. Rare to find a vendor in this business that actually takes the time that these folks do to explain things and discuss options with clients. I used them for a very sizable kitchen job and had very positive experiences with Christian, Keena, and the crew. The installation crew was friendly and professional, the fabrication process was absolutely perfect in what was a tough job based on the stone I picked and the size of my island slab. The length of my island required me to have a seam and while I was sick to my stomach about it, the finished product is amazing - and admittedly I am a picky hard to please customer. Keenan worked very hard to find a slab big enough for my needs but there was just not one that would work, she sent pictures of countless slabs from local and out of state so I really appreciated her efforts on this. Additionally, the fact that they invited me to their facility to personally contribute to the template placement on the stone was great, most paces won't do this. We worked collectively to determine placement (truthfully I went with their advice but it was nice to be part of the process and have the opportunity to make changes if I had wanted) and the entire experience was a pleasure. These guys are great! We had stone countertops installed by another company that did not install properly. Amng other things , places where the stone extended unsupported for more than 6 inches were not "rodded" this has led to two occurrences of breakage. In both cases we were lucky to have Dominion Granite and Marble fix the damage. We could not have expected better workmanship ormore pleasant personnel. In retrospect, we wish we had had Dominion Granite and Marble do the entire initial job. We would have avoided he trouble we have experienced. I purchased some countertops for the laundry room from Dominion Granite & Marble and they did a fantastic job. Christian is extremely knowledgeable and has a ton of experience; he was able to patiently talk through the details in dealing with the typical installation challenges like walls that aren't square; cabinets that have facia-boards that extend beyond the side; optimal overhang over the front of the counter as in the case of a washer/dryer application; choosing the right sink; etc. There are a lot of options with natural stone (marble and granite) as well as engineered stones like Cambria. I have worked with Dominion Marble and Granite with different projects over the last 10 years. My most recent project involved my entire kitchen and they were fabulous. From my amazing Miele Appliances to my fabulous white Carrara marble countertops, they transformed my tiny historic row house on Capitol Hill to spectacular, making it our favorite room of the house. Christian and his team helped with everything - and the counter top installers, were simply the very best. Having the fabulous Miele line of appliances made it an easy 'one stop' place to get everything. If you are considering an update to your kitchen, go visit them and check out the Miele products. I am in love with the Miele combi steam/convection/ roast oven. If you are a cook who simply hates to clean the oven, you are going to love this. One simple cycle with steam, and you can simply wipe it sparkling clean with a paper towel. The warming drawer was totally something I bought for the coffee maker, after learning that the secret to a great cup of espresso, was serving it in a warmed cup. But then I discovered so much more. I can keep plates warm, prepared dishes warm, multiple omelets are ready at the same time, and reheat food. No need for a microwave. These appliances will change your life. My gas stove is perfection and the hood, works great and vents everything outside. The fan is powerful and very quiet. I chose Dominion Granite & Marble based on their perfect 5-star rating on Yelp, and they exceeded my expectations from start to finish. The job was the replacement of the cracked marble countertop on my bathroom vanity. Christian gave me a quote and, having talked to a couple of other contractors, I appreciated that he did not lowball the initial quote only to hike it up later. Their price was reasonable and in line with other quotes. It was worth the 40-minute drive from Chevy Chase, MD, to Ashburn, VA, to see their large inventory of marble remnants, which Christian patiently showed me and expertly advised me on. He even knocked off a corner of marble for me to take home, which was very helpful. They sure make the installation process easy on the customer. A couple of weeks ago, Bruce came out at the appointed time and took measurements. I personally went to more than 8 different granite and marble providers between Loudoun and Fairfax counties - and looked at four more online - before finding Dominion. I was absolutely overwhelmed by the professionalism, industry knowledge, and kind-hearted courtesy that I was afforded by Keena and her husband Christian Berard there at this business. I had become very jaded by every other granite and marble establishment that I had visited when they either would not give me a direct estimate for the countertop I needed, or - in the alternative - seemed to have some magical mystery formula for arriving at a price based on a sliding scale of assigned "quality." At one place I was told that a slab that I liked was a "C" in value - only to be told ten minutes later when I said I really liked it that it was actually an "E" which, OF COURSE made its Exotic allure and corresponding "value" skyrocket. I guess for most of these places, the amount they will randomly choose to charge the customer is in direct proportion to how much you like the product. Keena does not play this game. She worked with me and my limited budget to find me a quartz remnant that I really liked and charged me only about half of what other competitors would have charged for a far lower quality marble or granite product. And then they worked very quickly to get my countertop made, delivered, and installed. At Dominion, they even have you come back after the measurements have been completed to do a "placement" in which they take a plastic countertop cutout and help you place it over the slab of stone you have selected to determine exactly which portion of the stone you would like your countertop to be cut from. In this way you can avoid any odd discolorations or flaws in the stone to end up as part of your countertop. I had been told at another vendor that this would cost extra because of the extra cuts that would have to be made, but Dominion did not charge extra. I highly recommend this company to anyone looking for new countertops! read more
