Located right next to the Williamsburg Bridge. Built on the site of a former Domino Sugar Refinery. At its peak, it was once the largest sugar refinery in the world. Generating around 98% of the sugar consumed in the United States. Artifacts from the refinery are tastefully placed throughout the park. Mooring bollards, gantry cranes, warehouse columns, screw conveyors, bucket conveyors, hoist bridges and more. It is a beautiful waterfront with a dog park, sand volleyball court, elevated walk way, playground, fog bridge, fountain, seating steps, benches, and lounging chairs. I really can't say anything bad about Domino Park. It's a great area of Brooklyn and the park is great as well. At the moment it is very peaceful even with all the construction going on but after all residents move into the buildings I'm not quite sure how peaceful it will stay. read more

If you're cynical you might say that the only reason this amazing new park space is open is so that they can build at least 3 enormous new high-rise apartments around it, but whatever - I'm choosing to enjoy this public gem, no matter what the reason for its existence. I can confidently say that this huge new park will completely change the way the waterfront is used in this part of Williamsburg. There's tons of walking space, seating, grassy areas, a huge playground, a water installation, volleyball and bocce ball courts, a dog run, and so much more. There's seriously something for everyone, and though it's already very crowded and overrun with kids and adults alike, it's spread out enough that you'll be able to find a little area for yourself. I also love that they kept a lot of the old structures that were there, and that they even label each of the different kids of plants and trees that are there for a little further education. Right now there's just one business that serves food and drink there, a taco joint created by Danny Meyer called Tacocina with a huge patio. The food wasn't my favorite (and they were out of a lot of the items I wanted), but it's a great vibe and good for a casual snack. I was pleasantly surprised to find that they serve liquor too, including mezcal Negronis and margs! My neurotic and skeptical self automatically started wondering how long it would take for this pristine park to get gross from too much dog (or human) pee, litter, or other awful things that people do, but I have hope that their plentiful maintenance staff can keep it looking gorgeous. All I know is, I can't imagine a better place to come during the day with a book, on a walk with my dog, or with a friend to enjoy a drink and watch the sunset. I love what they've done with the waterfront. But don't be fooled - unless you're here with kids, playing volleyball/bocce, or waiting in line for tacos, there's actually not a lot to do here. Sure, it'll make for some Instagrammable photos, but you could walk the entire thing in 8 minutes. There's some great street art, and I love that they painted the railroad cranes teal. This park is beautiful. I visited for the first time today and everyone was practicing social distancing. They even have huge circles on the grass drawn out in order for people to maintain distance. The views of the city are beautiful and there's a great taco spot to grab a bite. If you have kids this place has a huge set up that looks like SO MUCH FUN (It is closed now.) Such a nice place to catch the city skyline. With a beautiful view of the Williamsburg Bridge and quite a few well known NYC skyscrapers, walking along the park is so breathtaking. It's a great place to take the family, with lots of play areas for the kids. A lot of seating is available, with benches, grass and the food area. I didn't get anything from the taco spot, because there wasn't anything substantial on the menu, IMO. I really had a nice relaxing time here and will definitely be going back. read more

I've got mixed feelings about this place. I love how the playground looks. great industrial design and interesting, but enclosed slides scare me. My son has gotten a huge burn on his hand from a slide like this (NOT this one). Also, the insides of these slides become disgustingly germy. They are difficult to clean so ew. The fake grass give this dystopia feel (Black Mirror season 3, episode 1-ish). I do love the wooden parts of it, the real grass part of it, the old buildings in the background, and of course the water, and the water feature. read more

They opened this park early this summer and the place it's really nice and clean perfect to bring your kids and to come with the family, nice view to the city at night, the park is not that big but it's ok if you are just trying to take a walk or ride bikes inside the park, P.S this place gets packed at night on the weekends. read more

Sometimes a girl just wants to have fun. I took a Me day, and it is exactly what l did, l had big fun. I rented a Rebel scooter and rode around Williamsburg. You have to have a driver's license , be over 18, get a background check, debit or credit card, last but not least, have a pair or two of balls. Check, check and recheck. I drove my truck to Williamsburg, got a free ride in an electric car from Loco Coco and looked for a Rebel scooter. I found one within 10 minutes and l went from place to place and chilled the hell out. Its 25 cents a minute, 10 cents a minute to pause your ride, oh and 1 buck to start it up. I went to the Williamsburg Hotel to the rooftop. What a spectacular view of Brooklyn and NY city. I ordered a glass of ice tea and left. I paused my ride while l was there. Hopped back on and went to Domino Park. Its located where the old Domino Sugar factory used to be. There is a dog park, nice sitting areas, a nice area for the little ones to ride their bikes. There is also a grassy turf and sand area to to play volleyball and other fun sports. It was just cool to take in the sights and just chill. No meetings, l didn't answer my phone and l didn't take any pics, except 1, and l did pinch myself a few times to check that yes, l just disappeared and did this.l spotted a mexican food truck, stopped and had a fish taco and a Coke, no Pepsi. :( Then off to Whole foods which was quite lovely. I picked up a few things and drove to an Asian fusion spot. It was so pretty, sleek and oh so sexy. I had a great dinner and the couple across from me bought me a nice glass of wine. I left my Rebel in front of the restaurant, caught another free ride and a bottle of coconut water, l was back in my truck. Put on some lipstick and came home. Thought about the House music in the restaurant and had a pleasant drive home. Hmmm, l think l need to do this more often. My Rebel ride came to 15 dollars and l was quite pleased with that. Try it, you also get a helmet, and little trunk area to secure a small bag. read more

Certainly a different type of playground and my little one keeps asking to go back to the playground 'made of the sugar materials'. We are living in Brooklyn and like to walk in Williamsburg a lot. For many years this area was closed and we always wanted to find some good spots on the river to watch Manhattan skyline. Finally, it exists!! We are happy that it is open, also there are still many constructions in progress around. But the park itself is very nice although not very big. Beautiful view over Williamsburg bridge nad Manhattan downtown. Especially at summer I think it will be nice to have a walk along the river on a hot sunny day. Beautiful new park right on the river. Not too big but just big enough to spend a good few hours there. My son loved the playground and the water play area. This is a great place to relax and let the kids play. It was pretty crowded on a Saturday but the view is beautiful and there are really nice lounge chairs so you can sit back and enjoy the water. There were an insane amount of kids playing that the kids we were with didn't even want to play because it was too overwhelming. Although it was jam packed, the play area looked like a great time and had options for kids of all ages! The line for the little food stand was way to long but I would love to go back and check it out. read more

Come prepared if you're sensitive to the sun and heat! It's a great park with tons of trees that were planted; however, they're still all small and sparse so shade was nearly nonexistent. We reapplied sunscreen, wore hats, had the stroller fans going at full blast, and the baby had ample shade in our stroller wagon but it was still rough on hot days. The splash pad area had almost no shade during summer 2018. I'd bring an umbrella unless you like toasting in the relentless sun while watching your kids. I found Domino Park's website to be very informative about getting there. I drove to the parking structure stated on the website. Finding the parking structure and parking was easy and straightforward. Both cash and card are accepted. An attendant will park your car. I also saw a restroom available in the parking structure. I did see cars parallel parked in the neighboring streets but no available spots. During summer 2018 all bathrooms were located in fancy portable trailers. We haven't been back since then so I'm not sure if they're still portable or if they're permanent now. There's a gated playground at Domino Park. My then 5 year old loved it because it's a unique playscape. I hate it because a majority of it is covered so it's extremely hard to keep track of your child. I'd say the playscape favors kids 3+. My youngest is 1 now and I can't imagine him playing on a lot of the areas. Domino Park affords visitors great views of Manhattan and is worth checking out. Just don't forget the sunscreen and shade! read more

DOG PARENTS: PLEASE READ THIS 3 dogs have been seriously injured by the raw metal on the bottom of the fence surrounding the dog park. We have reached out to Domino Park every single time this has happened, and have been ignored every single time. Again, I personally have witnessed THREE dogs now have their legs cut open by the fence (I'm sure there have been others that I haven't seen). Their owners have had to rush to the hospital, pay extraordinary medical bills, and have had to go through the emotional trauma of their loved one being seriously injured. And, of course, this is a horrible experience for the dog as well. If anyone knows anyone in mgmt at Domino Park, PLEASE reach out to me. Horrible dog park, even worse management. My dog, Odi, sliced his leg open here when he was just a puppy. The underside of the fencing doesn't reach the ground and is incredibly sharp! I scraped myself when I went to just touch the bottom of the poles to see. Odi was standing in a pool of his own blood and we had to rush him to the emergency room to get surgery to stitch up his wound. He got 6 stitches, which for a tiny puppy is A LOT. After hearing Domino Park reimbursed another person who's dog had cut themselves (he happens to have a penthouse in one of their buildings, so makes sense they'd oblige to his request), I reached out (again) and sent them all my hospital information but they have refused to reimburse me. Even after taking accountability for their fence being too sharp and having cut several dogs legs open, they are choosing to only reimburse a single person they have a vested interest in, instead of the several other park goers who have had to watch their dogs suffer in pain for a design flaw that no one at this management company could foresee being an issue. Please reach out to me if you've experienced this at the dog park. We'll band together and demand what we're owed for their negligence. read more

I came here the other day with my daughter to check out the playground and it was not impressive at all. This rating is for the playground alone as I have not had the chance to check out the rest of the park but it was extremely dirty and crowded. Domino Park is the latest addition to the Brooklyn Waterfront, and a much needed recreational space for Williamsburg. While not as great, in my opinion, as the view from Brooklyn Bridge Park, Domino Park still has great views of Manhattan and the Williamsburg Bridge. You can definitely take some great photos and selfies here. Unlike Brooklyn Bridge Park, however, Domino Park has more recreational areas where one can play bocce ball or volleyball, and it has a kids playground and sprinklers. In fact Domino Park is much more kid and family friendly. It is a great place for one to spend the afternoon with one's children. Also, unlike Brooklyn Bridge Park, Domino Park doesn't seem as touristy. It seems like it was designed with the locals in mind. That is not to say that tourists won't eventually find their way there. Domino Park is well designed and aesthetically pleasing. Whoever did the landscaping and park design did a wonderful job. There is only one place to eat, a taco place run by the same people who run Shake Shack and that, at least when I was there, had a line just as long. You'd figure that with Williamsburg's large Hasidic community they would have at least one Kosher place. I will mention two negatives, which are just temporary: 1--There is still ongoing construction around the area. With the exception of the old Domino Factory, which has a cool look to it (and will be renovated into an office space), you would probably rather look towards Manhattan. Once the construction is done, you'll probably still rather look towards Manhattan, but the Brooklyn side wouldn't be as unsightly. 2--As one who burns easily, I wish the park had some more shaded areas. The park is still new, and this will no doubt change as trees grow and if they, hopefully, plant more trees or add some extra shade. All-in-all, Domino Park is a great place to sit down, relax, and enjoy the view and amenities. read more

The views are spectacular there's a nice mix of industrial and nature, and when it's warm out there's a water display installation with LED lights.
