Socorro doesn't have a lot of late night dining options. And Domino's is definitely last on my list when pizza's for diner be it Socorro or any place else. Yet here i am standing in the poorly lit alley being tapping on the window to pick up carryout and bring ignored by two employees. Both Looked up at me and then went right back to what they were doing. Eventually a third employee came flopping from the back to assist me. Then slides open a window big enough for Shaquille O'neal to get through. Turns his back to me to grab my order with the window wide open. So if this side alley walk up transaction mess is for security you're wasting your time. But I have a customer I didn't feel safe and it certainly wasn't convenient being ignored. disgraceful

Heating rack has been broken for the last month. Don't order from here unless you have a way to reheat your pizza!

Surprised the rating was so low, but not a lot of Yelp about this place. It's actually pretty good…read more Came into Socorro and wanted to try a new spot. I may have eaten here once, but I'm not positive. Glad I came in to see campus again and grab a bite. I got the Putting Green Burger with green chile. It was pretty tasty. The fries are fresh fried potatoes. They were well done, but I should've asked for double fried because fresh potato fries tend to have more water and aren't as crispy. The service was fast and friendly. I thought the place was cool with the open kitchen layout. Its neighbor is the pro shop which has a lot of cool gear.

First off, forget the Yelp map because you will never find it where it is shown. It is actually in the University golf course club house off Olive Drive. The ladies working there were very pleasant and gave good service. The Grill has a nice ambiance. There were quite a few people in there that were not golfers. I had their green chili cheeseburger which was as good as I have had in Socorro. To my pleasant surprise, they actually made freshly cut french fries....a favorite of mine. In my book they deserve a fourth star for that alone. Give them a try.

We passed through Socorro during a long day on the road after visiting my father south of Tucson…read more We stopped in to Capitol rather than one of the other two breweries on the plaza to get a stamp in our Hop Passport. A very pleasant bartender seated my wife, our young puppy, and me on their very nice patio, and brought the pup a bowl of water without being asked, which we always appreciate. I ordered an IPA and my wife got a stout, as February is stout month at craft breweries all around the country. Both of us thought our beers were delicious and well balanced. To our surprise, there were ashtrays on several of the tables on the patio, and a man was smoking a cigar a few tables from us (smoking is banned inside and out at all business establishments in Colorado). The piped-in music was rather eclectic - everything from 70s classic rock to Shakira to modern auto-tuned pop. We had just had lunch in Hatch, so did not try the food. We have decided that we will spend the night in Socorro on an upcoming trip to see my dad, as the town looks like a lot of fun and we really want to try the other local brewpubs.

I got a flight of beers: the Green Chile Lager actually had quite a spicy kick (definitely an acquired taste). My favorite was the 49er's Oktoberfest Lager. The Hoppenheimer was a strong IPA with a 9.3% ABV, and the Ladrones Mexican Lager was crisp and refreshing. For food, I tried the Socorro Dog ($11). It's supposed to have bacon, but I couldn't really see or taste any. I liked the combo of shredded Gouda, green chile, tomato relish, and beer mustard. The poppy seed bun was also a nice touch. We also shared a 12 inch Supreme Pizza ($14.50) with olives, sausage, green chile, mushrooms, and pepperoni. I liked the thin crust. I also ordered the Birds of a Feather cocktail ($13) which had dark aged rum, Aperol, pineapple juice, lime, and simple syrup. I asked for a splash of Prosecco to make it sparkling, and it was indeed refreshing. They also have a pool table ($1 per rack) and a dog-friendly outdoor patio, which I always like to see. There's also plenty of board games to borrow. The only downside was that the bathrooms could use a little cleaning and updating. Overall though, this was a solid spot with good drinks and a chill vibe.
