Oh and the inside was super clean and nice and played classic country music. Great atmosphere!

We found this restaurant the first day and went back each time. Every single meal was excellent. 1) The Monte Christo Benedict was unique and I would travel just to have that again. 2) The biscuits are the best I've found in ages. I love biscuits and try them everywhere I can and these are delicious! I always get some to take home. 3) The pancakes were delicious and you can ask them to bake the blueberries into them - yum! 4) The Hungry Man's Platter was perfect and filling. 5) The Greek omelet and Chicken Gyro were delicious. 6) And the cakes... so amazing. You see them first, up front in the cooler. We were told they are hand made and we can guarantee they are so good. We took two slices home as the chocolate ones are quite rich so we have one slice to enjoy for several meals. I have not had a better cake, and we'd be willing to drive 50 miles to get this cake if we needed cake for something. 7) The wait staff were all wonderful. Brooke in particular was so enjoyable and helpful. But everyone who served us was really nice. 8) The prices are all quite reasonable. And they have daily specials with even better prices. 9) The only thing to take note of is the menu on Google, or their old website, is not current. The current menu is much more comprehensive (also has Mexican, Greek, and Italian meals). I think I found the current menu, which I've attached. Not sure if this is the full new menu, but most of it is there.

The New Orleans-inspired menu is packed with bold, authentic flavors, and every bite feels like a trip straight to the French Quarter (minus the airfare and questionable decisions). Everything we had was outstanding, but let's talk about the beignets... and not the sweet, powdered sugar kind you might expect. We had them paired with a seafood spread, and wow! Light, fluffy, and the perfect complement to a bold, flavorful dish. It's a creative twist that absolutely works, and honestly, now I'm wondering why more places don't do this. The atmosphere hits that perfect mix of laid-back and lively, and the staff makes you feel right at home from the second you walk in. You can tell there's real passion behind every plate. Bottom line: incredible food, great vibe, and beignets that might just change the way you think about them. Statesville is lucky to have this spot. We will definitely be back.

We sat ourselves and the waitress took orders and was making drinks. I started with the hurricane which was really good. We shared the raw oysters which were cold and well shucked. The cocktail sauce was great and the hot sauce she brought out was delicious. For my meal I had the crawfish etouffee with rice and bread. The gravy was rich and delicious with a ton of crawfish. The bread was delightful and brought in from New Orleans. The bathroom decor was cute and the restaurant felt like you were in New Orleans.

This is a lovely little gem of a restaurant on the far side of the Publix shopping center (strip…read moremall) on the northern side of Statesville on Turnersburg Highway. Plenty of parking available, with a few handicapped spaces nearby. Every time we've been here, we've been greeted warmly, and seated promptly. The place is very clean with two levels; ground on the left, and additional seating up a couple of steps to the right. It's just an illusion but the staggered seating makes the restaurant appear larger. There are both booths and tables. They can take larger parties, with reservations. Complimentary bread with dipping sauce (olive oil and balsamic vinegar) appears as soon as you are seated. Tasty sauce, but the fresh bread is amazing. They have the standard soda/tea offerings, with a small beer (bottle & draft) and wine list. It's just enough to give you choices without being overwhelming. We've had their Stromboli and Calzone. Always freshly made, with tender dough, and generous filling. Both are available in small and large sizes, but a small is the perfect size for one person. We had take out once (pick up, not delivery), Pasta alla Vodka and Spaghetti and Meatballs. Both were fresh and packed well, still very hot when we arrived home. Last night, I brought my husband here for his birthday. We noticed on the menu that Mondays-Wednesdays*, they have a "Two Meals for $30" menu deal that gives you two dinner entrees plus one appetizer to choose from. (Eat in or take out.) We chose the fried ravioli as appetizer, with Carbonara, and Panna e Prosciutto as our entrees. The fried ravioli was heavenly. Delicate, but crispy, with delicious, creamy cheese and a very flavorful marinara sauce to dip in. We could have eaten many, many more plates of these. I had the Carbonara. Good choice, tender pasta, flavorful sauce. Definitely comfort food. My husband had the Panna e Prosciutto. It was beef tortellini with strips of prosciutto in a creamy, Alfredo type sauce. It was different, but delicious. I highly recommend both. (The Panna e Prosciutto is also available with cheese tortellini instead of beef.) We ended up bringing half of each entree home because the servings are large, and the dishes themselves are very hearty and rich. The service was great. The waitstaff was professional and polite. They made sure we had water with our drinks and plenty of napkins when requested. I highly recommend this charming little Italian restaurant. No need to go to national chains when there are places like Vesuvio's available. *On Mondays-Wednesdays, they also have a To-Go deal of one large pizza with one topping plus garlic knots & marinara sauce for $12.99.

Was pleased to see that there is now one in Statesville so I decided to give them a try. With the crowded restaurants at lunchtime, always room for one more. Walked in about 12:20 pm and a light crowd. New restaurant and everything was nice and clean, new and shinny. Prompt staff was immediately available to take my order. You order at the counter and they give you a number and when it is ready, they call out your number and you pick it up again at the counter. Spotted one of my favorites which was the Gyro and it was available in either Steak or Lamb. Needless to say, I ordered the lamb. Side was an order or fries. Sat down and my order came out about 10 minutes later. Looked pretty good but on examination, needs a little work. The Fries were way overcooked to the point that they were hard. Not quite sure how they did it but they also had an oily taste. Normally if a fry is overcooked, you don't taste oil at all and you normally find that with the limp whimpy fries. Gyro had way too much sauce on it and was a disaster to eat. Pick it up and everything tried to slide off the Pita. If the sauce was Taziki which is the traditional sauce served with a Gyro, did not have any of the traditional flavor. Lamb on the other hand was rather bland with none of the sweetness normally associated with lamb. Will give credit for the quantity of meat on the gyro however. In terms of quantity, you get you monies worth. Lunch today to me was a wash. Neither great but not a total washout either. There are so many other items on the menu that I possibly like that I will give them another try and at least try the Reuben, another of my favorites.
