10/10 I'm from…read moreHarlingen. This is hands down the best pizza/pasta spot in the RGV. We've had their Alfredo pasta, pasta a la vodka and their rigatoni bolognese. They're all so good! Our go to pizza is the spicy pepperoni . All their other dishes look delicious as well. If you're going on the wkends, I suggest a reservation as the place gets packed, but the young ladies who seat you are always accommodating either way. We've sat at the pizza bar as well. Sitting at the pizza bar is cool because you get to see and interact with the kitchen staff, who are also very friendly, as they make your food. On a side note, we went last night & had a very rude and impatient couple sitting behind us who did nothing but complain about the silliest of things. It was a very busy night for the crew. They walked out without giving the restaurant a chance despite the staff trying to be very accommodating. Their loss because they missed out on delicious food. I also want to recognize the young staff who greet and wait on you. They're very polite and spunky. They remind me of my own daughter who is about the same age. Their service is top notch from the wait staff to the cooks and everyone involved. RGV, you're missing out if you don't try this little Weslaco gem.

I ordered a glass of the house Chianti and was very surprised at how good it was. I ended up ordering a liter for the table. I had the minestrone soup and the flavor was bold and amazing! My GF opted for a house salad and it was pretty good. She decided to go with the chicken fettuccine as her entrée and was quite delicious. The sauce was not too thick but had tons of flavor. I decided to go with the linguine scampi with shrimp and a lemon butter sauce and this was 10/10 amazing! I finished the whole plate and used the house bread to mop up the left over sauce! The bread tasted fresh and airy. The staff was friendly and like I said the environment didn't scream Italy but none of that matters when compared to how good the food is. I would have eaten this food in the alley, it was sooo good! This place is definitely a hidden gem and I can't wait to go back there and try other items on their menu!

We started off with some bread (it's free), it was fresh and delicious. We asked for the calamari as an appetizer, it was great. We also tried the shrimp scampi & chicken piccata, both were amazing and came with a choice of salad or soup. We also got some cheesecake, it was my favorite dish, and a great way to end this flavorful experience. Will be coming back!

The kombucha flavors rotate but it is always AMAZING. For food, I got to try all their pizzas. They're all so fresh and flavorful. I've never had cashew cheese before and think it's so good! Their daily combo special is a great way and deal to try out the pizzas. It comes with 2 slices of pizzas (any flavors), soup of the day, and cup of kombucha. Service is friendly and attentive. Folks who come in seem happy to be there and enjoy speaking to the owner and his family. The place is a bit tricky to find from the Main Street. It's one of those if 'you blink, you miss it'. There is a yoga sign out front, which helps to figure out where you're at. Parking is mainly street parking. I haven't had issues finding one. Inside, the place is small but has a nice cozy casual ambiance/vibe. Overall love this place and can't wait to go back again to try other things on their menu! Note: I'm not vegan or vegetarian

So when we were visiting Estero Llano Grande State Park, I decided to give them a try. I called them up and placed the order for a pizza. They were almost at the closing time, but squeezed me in. The owner, Neo was super friendly, he shared the story behind Boocha. He makes pretty much everything from scratch, with local produce. He gave us a large bowl of soup which was super nice instead of the standard small that comes with the pizza as they were closing. The soup depends on what veggies he has in store. It was one of the best soups I have had. The street taco pizza was delicious. The crust wasn't too thick and chewy, the toppings and sauce tasted great. We also got mushroom hoagie (similar to bun sandwich) which was great too. He also offered Kombucha sample, generally I don't like kombucha. But this one was different. It was so good that we ended up getting a glass. They support other local businesses, he also shared some vegan places around Harlingen where I was staying which was super nice of him. They use mostly eco-friendly compostable, recyclable containers. The cafe is small, they have a few tables but it's really nicely decorated. They also have the yoga studio in the back which his wife runs. They were closed on the weekend but we made sure to pick up another pizza (Beetza) on Monday just before we left the area. Finding vegan places in smaller towns can be difficult so I was super happy to have found not only a good place but one of the best vegan places I have ever been to - from their food, drinks, service, to ambiance, everything was 5stars. Highly recommend it even if you are not vegan. Go for the delicious fresh food, and kombucha.
