For a quick bite to eat myself and a few church friends stopped by for lunch. It was convenient for a grab and go and they have a kiosk option. Service was okay I mean they weren't entirely busy when we walked in. Ambience is a quick fast casual joint for. Bowls, poke and ramen. I decided on the gyudon beef bowl and crab rangoons. l am Skeptical about boba at places that are not boba specialized so I take my chance on a uji matcha latte no boba cause I just don't feel like being that risky. Overall...I agree with others that thr beef in the gyudon bowl a bit tough stringy to eat and very SALTY like heavy hand salt that even with rice it was overpowering. I almost needed more pickled ginger to balance it out. My egg was over medium boiled? I wish it was a jammy egg would have been fabulous. I mean it's a drier bowl of gyudon then I've had at other places since there is not sauce. The crab rangoons were okay light and crispy and cream cheese filled now if there was crab or imitation crab I have no idea no traces just red onions not even green onions. The uji matcha latte was more milk than anything else figures who is going to provide loads of uji matcha... look at the cup size and tell me. Price was all of this was about $32 with taxes. This is absolutely the worst chicken I've ever had. Last time I got it it was closer to closing, so I was ok with getting scraps, thanks. Today I went afternoon and the chicken in my rice bowl was the driest ever. The breading is so hard--like the banquet maicrowave chicken from dollar general--ok maybe this isn't the worst but it's getting there. Sauce is too sweet. Ramen is not great--it's ok but, there are so many better options in Fredericksburg. Bathroom is surprisingly ok, but I have no idea how to tell if it's occupied even from the inside. After a morning walk, I was finally able to make a visit. It's located off Emancipation Hwy (Rt. 1) and Cowan in a mini strip mall with other businesses such as Jersey's Mike, Starbucks, Freddy Frozen Custard. It's a shared parking lot. As you walked in, the cafe is small with limited of seats but manageable. You can order two ways: at the counter with staff or kiosk on the left. Once you order, they will call your number for pick up. I ordered 5 items: 1) Bulgogi bao bun 2) Curry chicken bowl 3) Pork chashu ramen 4) Lychee smoothie 5) Honeydew smoothie. The two smoothies were very light and refreshing. I really enjoy the lychee one. The second smoothie that was originally honeydew but when I received it was the honey melon, and I have to say, it was surprisingly good. It tastes just like cantaloupe. The bulgogi bao bun looked scrumptious and the filling was generous portion. I took two bites and it was very tasty yet a little chewy. But the combination with the bao bun works. The ramen, you are given 4 choices of broths and several choices for proteins. I chose the pork chashu and pork broth. In the bowl, the soften noodles are on the bottom, topped with pork chatsu slices, corn, edamame, bean sprouts, fish cake, green onions, marinated soy eggs. The broth was on point, with enriched umami flavors but the portions of the corn and edamame was a bit much. The curry chicken bowl came in two parts. In the bowl, there was rice, pickled ginger, julienne cucumbers, soy eggs. In a separate container you have the curry chicken includes potatoes, green onions. You have to incorporate all ingredients in order to get the full effect. It was good with a hint of heat from the spices. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. The food was absolutely terrible. I went in there today and got the soy garlic chicken with white rice. I was starving but I couldn't finish it because the smell of it was making me sick. It smelled like rubbing alcohol I kid you not I have no idea what they put in there but it was making me gag. I had to throw it away. The boba tea was also not fresh at all. It tasted like it has been sitting in the fridge for a while. Do not go here I still taste that horrible chicken. Also they serve everything in plastic. read more

I have waited forever for this restaurant to open. They had their sign up for (literally) years! Most people just downright gave up on it when it finally opened. So obviously, as soon as I realized that it was open, I went to try it out. Place is clean. You can either order at the counter or at a kiosk. Seating is very limited. They are located in the parking area near Freddy's, Jersey Mike's, Starbucks, and Chipotle, which means parking is limited. They offer a variety of appetizers, Korean style wings, fruit teas, Boba teas, milk teas, snow cream, smoothies, ramen, rice bowls, and poke bowls, among other things. I ordered my husband a passionfruit tea with popping strawberry Boba. I like that they offer a lot of their beverages with the option of no sugar or less sugar. I ordered on the kiosk "no sugar", and found that I can't get any of the fruit teas with no sugar at all, because all of the tea syrups contain sugar. I do appreciate the staff member calling me to the counter to notify me that there was some sugar in the tea. So if you're avoiding sugar at all costs, they only have a limited amount of beverages that you can choose from that are completely sugar-free. Check at the counter beforehand, because the kiosk won't tell you otherwise. Then I ordered a 2 protein poke bowl with two proteins for my husband and I to split for a light lunch. I chose the base as sushi rice and green mix, and the proteins as chicken and shrimp. For my toppings, I chose the cucumber, edamame, green onion, citrus mango, red onion, seaweed salad, sweet corn, fish egg, nori sesame, fried onions, and roasted seaweed. I chose the citrus mango dressing on the side. Now, here are my thoughts on the food, I thought the food was fresh and tasty. The bowl was quite small, and expensive for what little food. For one poke bowl and one tea, it was nearly $25. I feel like I get a bigger poke bowl, with more toppings, at similar establishments for roughly the same price. I love that they have self order kiosks and contactless payment because I don't carry a wallet anymore. They had a decent menu - poke bowls, Korean wings, ramen (no tonkatsu, or spicy option, just the one "Japanese ramen"), boba selection was GORGEOUS - I ended up getting the house boba with brown sugar boba and light ice. The service was great. It's VERY CLEAN! The bathrooms were perfect. This is a fantastic mom & pop! If you're not very cultured this seems like just another mediocre hole in the wall because it's NOT AMERICAN-washed traditional, actually it's exactly like walking into a shop in Okinawa or Sasebo. Bizarre to see it here in Fredericksburg Virginia. Love it! Highly recommend. Not for the faint of heart. read more

Went here today to grab a ramen to go, showed up at 8:43 (they close at 9), the lady was making drinks for the previous customers so she never took my order. She finally finished and asked how she can help me, I asked for a ramen and she says sorry but the kitchen closes at 8:50, she says there is nobody I can talk to and to come back tomorrow. read more

Been here a few times and it hasn't gotten any better. Sad to say the boba isn't soft/cooked enough. My milk tea is always way too sweet. When I got the shrimp they weren't deveined which is so gross. There are 3 other bubble tea places and many other Asian places in the area to go to instead. Save your $. read more

We tried it and we're not impressed for what we paid. I had a double salmon poke, and my husband had a double chicken poke. We taste tested that before ordering anything else. The options seem limited: no oshinko, no cilantro, no decent ginger-soy sauce of note, the jalapeños and salmon were not fresh, and the sauces we tried lacked a robustness we are used to offered at other local restaurants. I'd probably give it a 2/5, and just take my money elsewhere. It was worth the one tasting to give it a go. Decide for yourself, but we have much stronger options in the area and even the sushi buffets taste better in our opinion. read more

Worst place ever! They serve Ramen in a plastic bowl- talking about toxic chemicals in a hot soup. The lady cashier was not really nice either! Nasty! The ramen was all noodles with a little liquid. No wonder businesses in the area don't stay that long. read more

I have been eating real Japanese ramen since 2001 while living in Japan for 3 years. I do understand that I would probably not find the exact same here in the states however i have found places that were close enough to satisfy the true ramen taste. So i tried here and ordered the pork ramen. When I got home, I was floored. This restaurant literally gave me "microwaved" bacon/fatback. I went back and they told me that is what they always use, "microwaved pork" but this was NOT the same pork that 3 other people I know got with their order that is why I tried this place out. I took the food back, but they didn't offer any solution or anything to try and appease the customer, so I told them to just trash the food because I didn't eat it. It was AWFUL....Im trying to figure out how to post pics I took of the food but can't find the option to upload the pics it only has the option to take pics, as soon as I find a way to upload the pics I'll come back and upload them with pics of the Pork Ramen I get at least 3 times a month from another restaurant. I would have gone back, but they weren't willing to do anything to make it right. I will NEVER RECOMMEND them to anyone. Also, there isn't much room for eating in.
