We're often near this Domoishi when I get off work and I have been on a poke bowl kick lately. Love poke spots where I can select all of my toppings. I think the one option which currently stands out is kimchi because I don't remember seeing it as a poke topping option before. The brown rice hasn't been great here and I think I've finally convinced myself to stop picking it as the base. This location also has cute desserts. They haven't had the lychee rose crepe cake that's on their doordash menu so I've tried a few of the other ones. I think the persimmon is my current favorite but I'll probably keep trying something new each time I get one. My interactions with employees have been mostly about choosing a replacement when they were sold out of something, and I definitely preferred the doordash app message over a phone call. The text made it easy to get a list of available options and select one. The phone call was ignored and I instead chose the flavor when I reached the restaurant. I tried the tonkotsu ramen and really enjoyed it. The broth was rich and comforting without being too heavy. The pork was tender, and the egg was cooked just right. The portion was generous -- my son and I shared one bowl, and it was more than enough for both of us. The pork buns were soft and flavorful, and the milk tea and fruit tea were great as well. Ah, but for the life of a healthcare worker... I'm (once again) feeling under the weather... I've resigned myself to being somewhat sick until this lousy weather breaks for spring, so until then it's sniffles and sore throat all season long. And what better to take care of those little coughs and sneezes than a nice bowl of soup? Being able to find fast food that's vegetarian is a little bit of an obstacle in this area (as evidenced by my last late night food outing). Domoishi is just the spot for a good vegetarian option, and I am thankful for that. They're a bit pricier than most fast food places, luckily for me not having to buy protein here makes it a little less expensive. Still, at almost $12 for a bowl of ramen, that's what most of my friends would call me "bougie" and I'm 100% ok with that. Now, to take my sniffling self home, take my clothes off and put on a fluffy bathrobe or pair of pajamas and some equally fluffy socks, turn on a Haunting in Venice, and enjoy my spicy bowl of ramen!!! read more

I have always loved the wings poke and boba at domoishi. It is like the mcds of boba one on every other corner lol. But sadly I was disappointed today my poke was drenched in yum yum sauce and it made the rest of my food soggy before I got home I've never had to specify how much sauce to use before but I guess from now on I'll be more specific. But that was not was bothered me it was my drink I saw a new strawberry cream slush that sounded so good. Described as a cream cheese cap and strawberry slush I added rainbow jelly to it and just knew this was gonna be so good like a strawberry n cream type drink But instead the strawberry part was like unmixed strawberry preserves that you use for milkshakes like you add a teaspoon to the ice cream except my drink was ALL strawberry and it was nit blended it was not very slushy as all more of a goopy texture I tried adding water to tone the sweetness and thickness down it did not help at all even my friend couldn't finish it. As we move toward a more technologically advanced world I get incredibly frustrated with restaurants that lack customer service. Half the time they refuse to let me move my order down the line, which is frustrating for me. They also prefer that I type in my own order and then still ask for a tip, seriously? Every time I type in my order on the screen, or they take my order from the computer, something gets left out of my order and that is why I insist on picking my food from the line. The last time they refused to let me do this. I walked out. Very unfortunate because I really do love the food here When did customer service become a thing of the past? While the food is consistently good, the service deters me from attending this restaurant more often. read more

drinks are super sweet even if you get the standard mix with less sugar. Also she gave me what i did not order, i watched her toss the drink and used the same cup, i did not want all that chocolate or coffee syrup on top (from the previous drink) adds to the sweetness. oh well read more

I've grown to really like this place. I eat here sometimes 3-4 times a week. I really like the poke bowls...I used to think they're overpriced but after seeing the quality of other spots this is the best around. Their ingredients are always fresh and they give a filling amount. I also like ordering the Korean wings...with the spicy soy sauce...so bomb. One of these days I'll branch out and try the ramen. This recent evening my husband treated us to some food from Domoishi Little Creek in Norfolk Virginia via grubhub. The food items that were ordered included curry beef bowl beef gyoza karaage (fried chicken) and a poke bowl that included the following ingredients:spring mix raw tuna raw salmon cooked shrimp citrus mango sauce sweet garlic soy sauce edamame green onion japanese ginger mango red onion avocado fried onion garlic crisp nori sesame. My husband and I shared the beef gyoza and karaage appetizers plus he allowed me to try some of his curry bowl. My husband enjoyed his food and I savored my poke bowl. We ordered delivery through Ubereats and we were quite impressed with this place. Food tasted fresh and hot, and packaging was awesome. The ramen came in a double bowl (ramen in upper bowl while soup in lower bowl, to keep ramen fresh and not soggy). Yum! The utensils were sealed in sturdy packaging, and made with quality - none of that cheap wooden chopsticks that shred or break apart. Love it! The salmon poke bowl contained a generous amount of high quality ingredients (fresh raw salmon, edemame, mango, sesame seeds, fresh onion, green seaweed, roasted seaweed, coleslaw, corn, brown rice, sushi rice). There was so much, I couldn't even finish the bowl. So full! The wings and crab Rangoon were super crispy and tasted freshly fried (not in reused stale oil). Crunch! I would highly recommend. I usually go to the location on Monticello but this one opened up right by my work. I ordered a poke bowl and a boba tea. They barely put anything in my bowl...it was probably half empty. Both my proteins was probably about one serving worth and the two cubes of avocado was absolutely not worth an extra $1.25. I'm not even mad about my tea being weird because the guy remade it for me since he was unsure it was made right and then he just made me a different one for free to make sure. That's the reason I'm giving them 2 stars. I'm just disappointed I paid almost $24 for such a ridiculously small amount of food. Think I'll stick with the other location. read more

WORST ramen I've ever had. Not even enough broth to cover half the noodles, egg yokes were so rubbery they couldn't even be biten into, radishes and tofu were mush, paid $1.50 for spicy in both dishes and they were bland, the chicken dish, and this is IN A BROTH, was so dry and the flavor had a horrible taste. I am usually a big fan of Domoishi. I think they make really great food and their presentation is excellent. This specific location is lacking however. I ordered ramen and boba for me and my girlfriend today. When I picked it up I noticed the boba did not have the usual sealed lid and instead had an ill fitted soda lid which spilled as soon as I set it in my car. After the minor inconvenience, I got home and opened the food. The first thing I noticed is the fact that my ramen did not have any actual ramen noodles. Just topics and base. Then I realized that instead of getting the extra egg I ordered, I received no eggs in mine. My girlfriend also did not have any of the *spicy* added to hers as requested. Then to top it off, they swapped our bases for our ramen. Overall a very disappointing experience. I highly doubt I will return to that Domoishi. read more

I had someone else's order and I called to tell them but they refuse to own up to their mistake and proceeded to say "we follow receipt, we follow receipt".
